I have downloaded and created a motocast account on the web and my pc. I cannot access if from my Bravo. I get a log on error. Also, when I try to selected the media link id in accounts nothing happens??
View 1 RepliesWhen I connect my Motoactv via USB to Motocast I receive and error message where it says that MML has stopped working suddenly and windows is looking for a fix.Then nothingI have ripped and re-installed the program several times and still doesn't work. It worked once when I first set up Motoactv then hasn't worked since.Anyone know of a fix. I just really want to update my Motoactv with the new software and manage my music through Motocast via MML.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night I bought two CDs on line. i downloaded them to my computer and plugged in my phone to download to the phone. Media link started up and downloaded every CD on the computer before I could stop it. (I had selected only the new CD's in media link) I had to go into my music and delete everything that was duplicated. Then I discovered that my playlists were all empty. I had gone though all of my music and put all songs in playlists. Now I had to do it again!! I thought I was all fixed up and discovered this morning that all 1,290 photos from my computer were loaded onto my phone as well. DO NOT leave media link on your computer. I'm removing it when I get home and I'll start doing the old copy/paste routine. Motorola should send warnings about Media Link to all customers.

I was able to install Media Link on my Dell Vostro PC running Windows 7, but keep getting the error message during installation on my Dell desktop running VIsta Home Premium that Media Link cannot find MotoHelper Driver 5.0 (I have removed some of the underlines, etc. for brevity's sake). I have installed that MotoHelper Driver about 300 times, but still get this error message.
What is the trick to getting Media LInk to install?
I purchased the Photon 4G at the reccomendation of a friend and sprint employee who spoke highly of it. It, being a Motorola product, left me somewhat wary (nothing against the company, their hardware is great, not so much the software end.) The phone itself runs like a dream, no issues to speak of, yet. I connected it to my computer last night to charge, aware I'd most likely be prompted for drivers and what not, and I was correct. Surprisingly so, I was prompted with an autoplay for the Moto Helper software contained within the phone ready to install. Did so. Updated everything. All was great. I disconnected the phone and removed the back to install my micro SD card, nothing impressive, just a small 4GB I had laying around until I purchase something bigger, if I need it.
Upon reconnecting the device, I noticed rather than appearing as two separate devices, it merged both of them together under the same portable device under My Computer. Didn't know quite how to feel about that, but didn't pay any mind. I'd left it connected for most of today, when out of the blue, Motorola Media Link pops up, seemingly unprompted and for no reason, and starts trying to sync. It hangs, or something, because I only have 2 or 3 gigs worth of stuff on the card and nothing in the phone yet, and it had sat there for at least 2 or 3 horus at the "Loading new media." stage. So. I disconnected the phone, which allowed me to close MML. It should also be noted that around the same time it popped up, the storage units were separated in My Computer, each appearing as a Removable Disk, one for the SD card, one for internal storage.
Anyway. Upon reconnecting the device, MML did not reappear, and the storage units were merged once again. Attempting to launch MML did nothing, I could see it running in my resource manager, but nothing was happening. I rebooted, still nothing. I then uninstalled and reinstalled, still nothing. I'm not sure if MML is the way to go after reading topics of it messing with Applications, still, I would like the functionality available to me if I decide to use it.
I'm using the MML 1.5 and the latest drivers from the Motorola site for the Atrix.Running XP SP3,I was able to sync with my Atrix a few time, but MML doesn't work consistantly at all. Any advise in order for this to work properly. I've tried removing and reinstalling with no avail.I've also put my phone in each of the USB modes without luck..
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter i took at pic and save it in my gallery then i set the phone down . two minute i look at my phone to surpise igot a a blue n purple salt n peper screen i try to turn off my phone . which i could not until ipull out the battery. Then it start working fine. idecide ibetter hook up my phone[usb] to my laptop. To tranfer the pics n files over to the lap top it said that media link was not working so i try to repair it threw my control panel> program/freature> motorola Media Link Repair which it didnt work. so i unstalll it. rebooted my visa. restall it and it still not working now . It say that the Motorola helper is updated . it work for me3week ago.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Atrix and I have tried syncing through Media Link and it duplicates most of the music files so I have two copies of every album in two different places on SD card. It puts them under mobile/music but also under a music. I never set up the file system on my SD card but I did switch it out of my old phone. Why does it do this and what do I need to do make it stop? Should I delete one of these file folders completely? I have already deleted all of the music files on my phone and then synced it again.

I'm using Win7 Ultimate and have no devices set to sync to WMP 12, when I try to stop the processes in taskmgr they just immediately turn right back on.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have it set up on my PC where I have 3 folders shared. I have a Movies folder, I have a TV Shows folder, and I have a Mixsets folder. I like to listen to DJ mixsets that can be rather large, anywhere from 50MB to 150MB in size. I can access my movies/tv shows off my PC at home just fine when I'm on a wireless network. I just go into Gallery>MotoCast and there i have my TV shows in one folder and Movies in another folder. The folder I named Dj Mixsets does not show up in either Gallery or Music app.That's fine cause when I go to the Files app, I can see all three folders on my PC. From there, I can still access my TV Shows and Movies just fine. But when I try to listen to any of the mixsets, it says Cannot connect to network, please try again. This is weird cause the Droid shows my home PC as "Online". Is it because the music files are really large that it won't play? MotoCast can play larger size video files no problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMotocast app was preloaded on new razr. I manually loaded motocast software on desktop and laptop. Motocast working great for getting pictures to and from desktop & laptop. I called tech suppoirt for email problem and was told to update my device to the latest OS. I did this and after rebooting device, there was no motocast app/logo and no USB selection window. I now can not download pics and can only upload files from my desktop and laptop.

Music, photos and documents all present and available all the time.But my iTunes playlists are not. Major bummer. MotoCast playback quality is far superior to G-music, but I really need my playlists!Itunes data folders are all in the normal places. The MotoCast docs clearly say that iTunes playlists are usable and in one place says expressly, "Note: Currently MotoCast Wireless supports playlists from iTunes only."

I decided to install motocast and just ignore it but when I rebooted it started my browser with a video for backup assistant after looking thru msconfig and regedit I believe this program to be malware like microsoft security 2012 or many other softwares that use extortion to sell their product. I am not questioning the validity of the backup software but rather the way it like motocast doesn't give me an option. When I called Verizon they said it was a Motorola problem so can someone please tell me how to get this MALWARE from loading! I did get the browser to stop loading after removing all of motocast via add/remove.

We have installed the software on the computer (a Macbook Pro) and skipped the wireless setup (because we are only interested in USB syncing at this time). But when we connect the phone, all we get is a message, "Please wait while MotoCast USB loads your content."

I originally downloaded approximately 220 songs and have since added another 15. However, my song total now shows at 401 songs, many of which I would NEVER listen to. THere is nothing worse that running and listening to a great song and have the next one be a Bay City Roller or Cyndi Laupner tune. Are these songs being uploaded when I plug into the website? Were they pre-loaded onto the device?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid2 Global which has stopped all audio to selected phone numbers. The calls connect OK but there is no audio at all. No ringing, and no voice in either direction. I know it is my phone as it is now happening on 2 phone numbers. All connections, both incoming and outgoing are affected. Speaker, bluetooth will not work. I do not have a wired option to test the 3.5mm jack. I've factory reset, removed the contact details, power off, ..... Others work well, just these numbers. Latest version and no updates pending.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am able to print photos from my phone wirelessly via my network (Dell Laptop w/VISTA & H/P Officejet 7400 All-in-One, Microsoft Small Business) but when I tried to print a spreedsheet, as a test of Motoprint capabilities, it shows the printer grayed out and says "This printer is incompatible with the currently selected document type". Funny that I use the same printer on a somewhat daily basis to print anything I want to print from my laptop.

I was looking at the "supported devices" page for the Motocast USB software and it does not include this tablet. At the bottom of the page, it also says "MotoCast USB software works with most but not all of Motorola's Android devices." Is it possible to use it on the FE?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my Droid Razr yesterday. I was able to connect it to my PC (windows XP) via USB and transfer some songs. But I cannot set up Motocast wireless, however. Every time I try, it checks for a wireless connection, then goes to a set up Motocast wireless screen. It sits there for a couple of seconds, then the programs just exits.
I have read through the forum, and based on some other recommendations I saw there, I unistalled Java, and went to java.com and downloaded the latest version. I have disabled my Windows Firewall, and stopped Real Time Protection on my Microsoft Security Essentials. I also unistalled the Motocast program, which had first loaded from my phone, and downloaded Motocast from [URL]
