I have the screen time out (settings->display->Screen Timeout) set at 15 seconds and the stay awake (settings -> appications -> development -> stay awake) checked but it will not stay on.

keeping the screen awake, despite inactivity, during charging. I have my pbone set to stay awake while charging under developer options. Despite checking off this choice the screen shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity while charging. How can I keep the screen on? I don't want it to sleep until/unless I do it manually.
View 15 Replies View RelatedJust had something start happening, and I have 2 new accessories I have been using, and I have not had a chance to properly debug the issue. I have had the setting to keep screen on when charging set since it was "discovered". This morning I noticed my screen was shutting off when playing pandora and while charging, and that the setting had gotten turned off. My 2 new accessories are a Motorola SD10 bluetooth headphones (I really like these), and a navigation dock. I am thinking the navigation dock is the most likely culprit.

Very annoying as the screen can be on for an hour straight since I'm in class and it completely drains the battery. Can't use wakelock since I don't want to root my phone, and I've already tried clearing cache partition.

As I go to the keyboard setting and set this custom keyboard as the default one, the phone has been working perfectly poping up whatever custom keyboard I defaulted for couple weeks until yesterday... the phone keep going back to the default Multi touch keyboard and won't remember the selected default keyboard for some reason..
My wife and I have identical ATRIX 2 phones just over a year old. Always has been some strange things happening staying connected to wifi network but that finally corrected itself on both phones
After ICS update in November i have to toggle Airplane mode on and off to get wifi connection back after a period of not useing it on my phone .
My wife was reluctant to update hers when I did as she doesn't like change. However over time her phone kept droping wifi network connection. I would have to power it down and remove battery and sim card to get it to stay on wif for a few days. Finaly that was no longer a fix. I went to a AT&T hotspot and downloaded the latest ICS update.on her phone No matter what I do it will connect to our network wifi and bring in mail etc for about ten seconds then the singal bars change from white to blue, The settings menue shows wifi still on blue connected but the signal bars shows blue. Her data use would indicate it is indee using cingular data.
I got the Atrix 2 today, The Back lighting on the 4 soft keys on the bottom, settings, home, return and search, the backlighting doesnt always come on.. usually when you touch them or the display screen, they light up bright white.

Previously on my Desire I could see what was causig this (was running CM 7.1)I've checked most apps I know like to do things in the background but haven't found any smoking guns.Secondly, does anyone in here use Hotmail and connect it so it does push email? Push is working fine but for whatever reason, email I read on my phone will not sync that I read it back to the server. Worked fine on my Desire. Not sure if its a Electrify or Hotmail issue.

I like to be able to glance up from my work wnd see whether I have email waiting. Now I have to "wake the phone up" to check it. However my wife bought the Atrix2 and she says the screen shuts off on her when the she touches the screen. It is not a timeout setting either. It is REALLY bad when we are laying in bed and she holds the phone and i try to touch the screen...boom screen shuts off! She turns it on and i touch the screen...boom the screen turns off again. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have this weird thing going on with my Atrix. I've had it for about six months and it was fine until now. What happens is that the touchscreen stops responding after it is turned off (pressing the power button) and back on. I can't unlock the phone, but the volume buttons are still responsive and I can still turn off the screen. If i reboot it (by removing the battery), it boots up just fine, with the screen working perfectly. It'll sometimes stop working when ending a call. The weird thing is that it doesn't happen everytime I turn off the screen, and when it happens, if I turn it off and back on it sometimes starts working again. It also seems to happen more frequently when the battery is low.

A funny thing has happened on my 8GB MOTOACTV. Music that I do not have has begun to appear on my device. I originally downloaded approximately 220 songs and have since added another 15. However, my song total now shows at 401 songs, many of which I would NEVER listen to. THere is nothing worse that running and listening to a great song and have the next one be a Bay City Roller or Cyndi Laupner tune. Are these songs being uploaded when I plug into the website? Were they pre-loaded onto the device?

I didn't do anything to it either. Good news...My backup Pro...was able to put all of my texts back into my phone...not in perfect order...but they are there. The call log was replaced! The desktop was put just like I had it! It was a pretty good move...just lost my pictures and had to redownload everything

Im not sure if this is a google flagship fucntion, but I think if we got that with the next a future update, it could even boost future sales of the device. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid2 Global which has stopped all audio to selected phone numbers. The calls connect OK but there is no audio at all. No ringing, and no voice in either direction. I know it is my phone as it is now happening on 2 phone numbers. All connections, both incoming and outgoing are affected. Speaker, bluetooth will not work. I do not have a wired option to test the 3.5mm jack. I've factory reset, removed the contact details, power off, ..... Others work well, just these numbers. Latest version and no updates pending.
