Motorola Electrify :: Battery Awake Time And Hotmail Sync

Recently purchased the Electrify a few days ago. Overall much better than my Desire.I have is anyone know why we can not dig into what is causing "Awake" time? Previously on my Desire I could see what was causig this (was running CM 7.1)I've checked most apps I know like to do things in the background but haven't found any smoking guns.Secondly, does anyone in here use Hotmail and connect it so it does push email? Push is working fine but for whatever reason, email I read on my phone will not sync that I read it back to the server. Worked fine on my Desire. Not sure if its a Electrify or Hotmail issue.

I have maybe 15 total folders in my hotmail account. On my Electrify, I am running the hotmail app. While it shows my other folders,I can't get it to sync to show the emails that populate those folders. I've messed with every app setting there is to no avail.

Iam a Uscc agent and I have a customer with the electrify and their phone is dying within a couple of hours and only sending a couple of text messages and making one phone call I have given a battery swap and checked the phone for any bad apps but there were no additional applications installed and settings do not seem out of place and compared it to mine that I have abd everything matches and mine lasts me an entire day of heavy use. I am just wondering if there is anything else that could be draining the battery or a way to fix it?

I am having no luck trying to send any picture to someone using my Hotmail account. I can recieve any message fine and reply just with text but if i attatch any file (so far picture) it doesnt allow me.
I had to send a file through a MMS just so they could get it.

I got my phone on 11/9/12 and within the first day our so the clock had lost a few hours. I had to switch to manual and set the clock. Then I set it back to use network for time. Well today I was late for work because when I woke up my phone said 7:10 and it really was 7:40. So had I not woken up when I did I would have been an hour late for work. The tech in Store removed my antivirus apps starting I didn't need them.

My music player only works some of the time and other times it gives me an error message. Also when I set ringtones from any music on my phone(ones I bluetoothed, ones downloaded from apps on the market, and also ones I copy and pasted from my computer) they will only work sometimes. Other times they seem to reset themselves and go back to a default ringtones or say unknown ringtone and will not work at all. The only ringtones that work all the time are the ringtones that came on the phone. My friend is having the same problem and the tech at US Cellular said he has had couple people come in with the same problem but they can't seem to find a solution. Also when the ringtones/music player is not working the videos in the "Help Center" on my phone will not work either. There seems to be some kind of glitch. I just want to be sure that there isn't some kind of setting wrong or something before I take this phone back and get something else because I would love to keep this phone, but it's not looking very promising.

I have been checking and deleting emails from my phone. When I logged on to my computer, all the emails that I deleted were still on the computer showing as unread. How do I link them so that when I delete the emails from my phone, they will also be gone from my computer?

I have been using the smooth calendar widget on my Electrify for a few months. I love how easy it used to sync with my online Google Calendar. Now I notice that when I look at the monthly view of the calendar, it shows no appointments/tasks beyond mid-May. If I click on any date on the calendar, it will go to my agenda and show the appointments. The appointments/tasks do appear online on my Google calendar.
I want to be able to see that I have appointments on specific dates on the monthly calendar at a quick glance. I don't want to have to scroll through the agenda to view them. I don't know what happened to change my view.
I don't know if I need to change a setting on my Electrify or if I need to change a setting online on my Google calendar.

Previously when I connected my phone to my computer via USB, I would get a Motorola screen on my desktop inviting me to sync my music, photos, etc. I would be offered the choice to sync using Windows Media Player or iTunes. That screen has stopped appearing when I connect via USB. What happened to it? I uninstalled and reinstalled Motocast, no luck there.I have found this Motorola sync program pretty creaky compared to iTunes. Would I be happier using another program altogether (Winamp? something like that?) to manage my music, podcasts, etc?

I just switched from a Samsung Mesmerize to the Motorolla Electrify. It looks like my facebook contacts have synched. However, the only pictures that are appearing on my contacts list are those few that have started using google+.Is there a fix to get the facebook pics to show up in the contacts?

I powered off and restarted my Electrify this morning. It had run on battery for about ten hours and the battery level on Circle Battery Widget said 84% - which is pretty normal. When it came back on, Circle said 96% and the standard notification bar battery icon showed totally full, which is absolutely not normal! I plugged in the charger and it was up to "100%" and stopped charging within a few minutes, not nearly as long as a normal morning charge would take.This was the second power cycle I've done since installing the 2.3.5 update. After the first one (about two weeks after the update!), my WidgetLocker lock screen showed up, but after I unlocked it I got the standard lockscreen and had to unlock that, too. The developer had already found this problem which was introduced by the 2.3.5 update, and had a fix ready. Neither of us could figure out why the problem hadn't shown up on my very first boot of the 2.3.5 version.
I have seen some reports here that the update recalibrated the battery level indications, but there is no mention of that in the official changelog. What I'm wondering is if the changes from the update might somehow be appearing one at a time for me? It sure looks like this morning's restart found a new set of battery levels.Is that why I see people suggesting we should do a battery pull after the update? I didn't see that as part of the official instructions, and I doubt typical OTA customers would do it.(I did verify that I had 1080 video immediately after the update, and I had to uninstall and re-install the Flash 11 update to get it to work with Dolphin HD, so at least some parts of the update appeared after the very first boot.)I see lots of procedures for recalibrating the battery levels, but they all require a rooted phone. Is there some official procedure for us non-rooted peopleTW, the reason I'm paranoid about battery level is that the phone came with "Nighttime saver" mode on by default. While this seems like a good thing, it is disastrous if you use SugarSync - it causes SugarSync to hold wakelocks and wifilocks for more than half of the "saver" time period, and totally trashes your battery overnight. I currently have a Droid Pro, wanted to set up Hotmail as IMAP or Active Sync. Currently have it set up as POP3, but wanted the full capabilities from the phone. (Yes, I know, the simple answer is to switch to gmail, but I have had this hotmail account for many years). I have tried the steps listed here: [URL]
Added a Corporate Sync account. Entered these parameters:
Email Address: <my email>
Password: <my password>
Domain: Blank
Username: <my email>
Server: m.hotmail.com
Use secure connection: Checked
When I enter these details, it adds the account to the phone. However, when I go into that account, after a few minutes I get an error: "Unable to connect to Hotmail1." The strange thing is, I am able to see my subfolder set up after it timed out while trying to connect. How to get Hotmail working on a Droid Pro...other than POP3?

So I was having a bad battery drain issue after I got my One. Decided to relock and flash stock RUU.
80% lost in 14.5 hours with only half an hour of screen time. Funny thing is, the HTC battery stats don't seem to think the phone was awake much. My battery apps tell a different story - says it was kept awake for 8 hours, with the kernel to blame.
Not an app doing it. Things were fixed initially after the reflash, and then went back to their old ways yesterday.

random restarts - the first month i had my electrify, it would only restart itself once a week or so. now within the last couple of weeks its jumped up to around 5 times a day. i kept track of variables as the restarts happened, and it does it at any battery level and during anything im doing, such as text, pandora, Internet, in-call. my first guess is that is in app that constantly runs in the background, and i was wondering if any more experianced users could tell me where and what to look for.

hotmail was working great until yesterday on my Photon. I was using the Corporate Sync account type, using the exchange active sync settings from the official Windows Live Solution center:

I was looking for an older email I could not find yesterday, so I decided to change my sync window from 3 day to 30 days. Right after that, all emails disappeared, and no matter how many times I tried to manually sync, nothng would show up again. Interestingly I can see all my folders, but all my folders say "no messages". Of course, when I access hotmail any other way (through Windows Live Mail on my PC or through the web, all the email is there). I have deleted the hotmail corporate sync account from the phone twice and re-setup twice, both times the installations were successful. I can always see the mail folders, but no mail messages. I also tested and found that I can send an email through hotmail.

I've read many posts about poor battery life since the last Lollipop update and am suffering the same issues! However, mine appears to be because the phone is constantly awake and WiFi is constantly on. I have 'extended standby' enabled which should kill the WiFi when the screen is off, should it not?

I've only had my Z3 a week, first expensive phone I've bought outright but I've noticed the battery draining quickly in standby, when I look in the battery stats it say's my phone is awake all the time, I've never had that on any of my other android smart phones, starting to regret this purchase now :-(

I can delete individual emails from my inbox. However, when I go to Trash folder there is no method to delete the Trash contents. Searching the manual gives zero information. Searching online has not been much more productive. The methods I've seen in independent forums don't work for me.

Does anybody know how I keep all of my past appointments on the Electrify? I check my google calendar which is syncing fine and see all of my past appointements, however they are gone from the phone. Additionally, even though my google calendar is scheduled out for the entire year, my phone calendar stops at December 15th, 2012.

Anybody have an easy way to convert the video I shoot on my Electrify to some readable format on the computer? I've tranferred the files to both Mac and PC and neither have worked. I almost thought it was because I turned on the encryption, but I haven't had problems with photos, and I don't know why video would be different. Didn't have this problem with my old phone
