HTC One M8 :: Google+ Keeping Phone Awake
Jul 4, 2014Issue with google+ keeping phone awake for way too long? This morning I unplugged my phone around 730 then fell back asleep until 9. When I checked my phone it was at 88%. I looked at the usage and although google+ was at a low % it had kept my phone awake since I unplugged.
Just to clarify, by awake, I don't mean screen on. It kept the phone from going to sleep when I turned the screen off and went back to bed. I immediately disabled the app, as I don't use it anyway, and the battery is back to normal, I think. Also, I have all the auto-backup options turned off on google+ so why it was kept awake for so long.

Feb 20, 2010I notice the charging pod has a little light that turns on when it has power.I generally tend to keep my wall charger plugged in at all times, and just plug in the phone when needed, since the plug is behind furniture.

Feb 28, 2015Just discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

May 22, 2013So I was having a bad battery drain issue after I got my One. Decided to relock and flash stock RUU.
80% lost in 14.5 hours with only half an hour of screen time. Funny thing is, the HTC battery stats don't seem to think the phone was awake much. My battery apps tell a different story - says it was kept awake for 8 hours, with the kernel to blame.
Not an app doing it. Things were fixed initially after the reflash, and then went back to their old ways yesterday.

Oct 7, 2015My bluetooth is keeping the device awake all the time since the past one month. Even if I disconnect my G Watch, bluetooth drains the battery. Waited for Marshmallow and installed it yesterday after formatting the phone but it bluetooth is again at the top in power consumption in the battery stats and keeps my Nexus 5 awake all the time. It used to work really well until last month.

Xperia Z3 :: Always Awake Sometimes Even From Within Ultra Stamina Mode With No Running Apps
May 1, 2015Noticed that Z3 always awake (and thus bad battery life), even from within Ultra Stamina mode with no running apps? This happened to me twice now with just over two weeks of using this phone. I haven't been able to take specific steps to replicate this yet, but 2 days in about 16 days means so far over 12% of the days.
Usually, the phone lasts over 24 hours with moderate use. I normally have stamina mode "on", and set to activate at 50% battery level, and then Low Battery mode to activate at 20%. Note also that all the apps I am using have been installed from the first day I've been using the phone. That is, I have not installed any new apps before I noticed this happening, and when I have "normal" battery life it is using the same set of apps.
Here is an outline of what happens:
I notice a much faster than usual power drain, despite being a typical day of usage (i.e. nothing out of the ordinary). I go to battery usage, and see the history details, and see that "Awake" has been on constantly, including during long screen off times, and all the while with Stamina mode enabled and active.
I then restart the phone. Problem still there, still constantly awake despite screen off and stamina.
Battery dips below 20% and Low Battery mode activates.
Phone keeps on being constantly "awake", despite no usage and now both low battery AND stamina modes on.
Restart the phone. Same problem.
I turn on Ultra Stamina mode. (I did this last time at 17%)
Phone continues to be always awake. Battery quickly drains down to 5% within less than an hour and almost no use, even though Ultra Stamina is supposed to stretch the life for an order of magnitude longer than that.
I shut off the phone to avoid complete discharge. When I return home, I plug it in and wait for a decent charge before turning the phone back on.
After full charge, I take the phone off the charger. Phone now works normally again, without always being "awake".
I can't figure out what causes this sequence of events to kick off in the first place. I'm trying to play around with things to get it to start doing this, but so far I haven't been successful in deliberately replicating the problem.
My android version is 5.0.2, v. 23.1.A.0.726.

Oct 10, 2011Just had something start happening, and I have 2 new accessories I have been using, and I have not had a chance to properly debug the issue. I have had the setting to keep screen on when charging set since it was "discovered". This morning I noticed my screen was shutting off when playing pandora and while charging, and that the setting had gotten turned off. My 2 new accessories are a Motorola SD10 bluetooth headphones (I really like these), and a navigation dock. I am thinking the navigation dock is the most likely culprit.

Dec 18, 2015I have a bluesleep wakelock stuck on 100%. It won't allow any deep sleep, always awake. It will stop only when I turn off Bluetooth all together. Bluetooth and wifi scanning are both off. I have a watch, even turning it off won't work. Also froze Android wear apps. No change.... Maybe something to do with missing kernel binaries?
Here are some better battery stats. Thurs is obviously after a fresh reboot, makes no difference really.

Mar 29, 2012My iPhone 4 doesn't seem to be keeping a full charge. My phone never used to do this, and I'm not sure what's the cause of it. Every couple of nights or so, I'll plug my phone in to charge before I go to bed, generally the battery's down to 30% most of the time due to using it throughout the day for work and whatnot. Anyway, before I head to bed, I'll plug it in and turn it off. And when I'd wake up the next day, I'd unplug my phone and turn it back on, the battery would be at 100%, and it'd be good to go for the entire day.
But here lately, it hasn't been doing that. I'll plug my phone in before bed, turn it off, and when I wake up the next day to take it off the charger, it'll be at anywhere between 93-97%. And I don't know if it's just me, but sometimes it feels as though the battery's life goes down much faster when it's not at 100%, but maybe that's just my imagination or something. And when I keep my phone on the charger once I've turned it on, it'll get up to 100% after a while.
Like I mentioned before, this has only been a recent thing, and has started doing this maybe about a month or so ago. Needless to say, it's rather frustrating. It's not difficult to deal with, just a bother more than anything else.
