I found the setting once but cannot find it again, theres a setting where you can keep the phones display awake whilst charging, I had set it to on but now I want it off now when charging
keeping the screen awake, despite inactivity, during charging. I have my pbone set to stay awake while charging under developer options. Despite checking off this choice the screen shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity while charging. How can I keep the screen on? I don't want it to sleep until/unless I do it manually.
it seemed like a dodgey connection at first because if you just touched the charger it would start or stop charging. Its got to the point now where the charger does not work at all so i have borrowed another charger with the same connector this worked fine but with the same problems as before but now the phone will not charge at all. The charge light comes on on the phone but the percentage charge on the phone screen just keeps going down and not charging. I cannot take it back to 02 as i did not take out any insurance with them and its way over the 30 day guarantee.
My X10 minipro Phone is charging but not getting detected by Computer when connected by USB cable. Not even in PC Companion. tried removing battery, sim, memory card no change tried reinstalling pc companion no change tried detecting from device manager still no help
My xperia pro m16i was charging though usb cable, I was surfing net on my pc then I took my pro and clicked its side button to unlock it but I saw that it was not unlocking then I took out its battery and placed in again then tried to start it but its not starting. It's not even charging. I bought it 15 days ago. I also tried to on it by holding vol. up button and home button but nothing is happening. And I also updated it to latest ics 4.0.4 by flash tool the day when I bought it.
I Bought Sony Ericsson X10 Mini on June 7th 2011in Poorvika Mobile Shop in T.Nagar , Chennai.I didnt use it correctly for 1day .While it is charging it getting drained, totally switch off.I gave it to the sony showroom they said that software upgraded now it is working fine. But again i take that & put charge for that for 8 hours it is totally switched off. While i gave it to the mobile shop they are saying that it is the manufacture problem so Sony has to answer for it. But I was in totally lost the hope on Sony why they are producing these type of mobiles.
i have updated my mini-pro SK17i two days ago (13.06) , sales item number 1251-8027 over the official update. Since the update the usb connection does not work anymore... i cannot connect to a computer and the usb charging does not work too. If i use the a/c power plug for the usb cable the charging works normal.
I've tested several computers with different usb ports and windows versions and different usb micro cables (each of them is working with other usb devices and phones).
I've searched for new settings in ICS like "activate charging over usb" without success.
I purchased an X10 mini three days ago and I've had nothing but trouble. It took three hours to finally get it to recognize my SIM chip. Now when I connect to the charger (PC and wall socket), it'll start charging and the light will turn orange but it will spontaneously shut off. As has been pointed out elsewhere, the phone won't charge unless so it's on, so you can see how this is a problem. I haven't been able to get the battery to fully charge (the best I've gotten is to 75%) and it gives it still gives it's status as discharging when it's hooked up. To add insult to injury, once the phone shuts off, I need to repeatedly press the on button (sometimes in conjunction with the home button) to get it to turn on. I'll get a little vibration and then nothing happens. I need to try about a dozen times before it'll finally respond. Do I need to return the phone for being defective or is there something I can do? I've had SE phones for the last six years, but this is enough to make me switch to another brand.
My X10 Mini Pro freezes out at the lock screen when I switch it on as it is still charging!I switched off my phone the night before and plugged it in to charge. The next morning I switched it on and it took a while to boot up but when it eventually did it would not let me past the lock screen.I then went out and when I came back, a hour later, it had died.
A few days ago the battery completely discharged and the phone switched off so i recharged it but initially i couldn't turn it on, it kept vibrating but the screen remained black. After several attempts (startup screen appearing but shutting off) i got it to turn on but the touch screen wasn't responding, i couldn't unlock the keypad. I was beginning to think my phone was bricked but taking the battery out and reinserting it seems to have sorted things out. Now i'm reluctant to let the battery fully discharge in case it happens again and i can't recover the phone!
Is this a bug caused by the update? I've read of others having similar issues. Yesterday for a few hours i couldn't dl apps from the store which is why i ask as similarly others have had this issue since updating. My X10 came with the update but was fine up until then.
I usually charge my phone overnight because the battery goes almost dead by the end of the day. I had connected my phone to the charger and tried to use the touch screen, it didnt work to my surprise. I tried to use the hardware buttons, they seemed to be working but all that in vain because when i tried to switch off the phone, i couldn't...!! Because the final screen to confirm the switch off of the phone is a touch command. This is not expected to happen on a device that i paid so much for...
I think there is some problem with the gravity sensor when connecting to the charger, i have seen this only when i connect my phone for charging and when the phone is in a position where the screen is facing the floor tilted towards the right. I have seen this problem 3 times, and would not like to see it happen again.
On some sites I have read I have to charge and discharge the battery completely a few times to make it better, on some I read lithium batterys don't like to be fully discharged and all you need is a few overnight charges or charging the battery for 1 to 16 hours. I am totally confues the sites are all about xperia mini pro battery. It can't both be correct, so which is it?
I've read many posts about poor battery life since the last Lollipop update and am suffering the same issues! However, mine appears to be because the phone is constantly awake and WiFi is constantly on. I have 'extended standby' enabled which should kill the WiFi when the screen is off, should it not?
I've only had my Z3 a week, first expensive phone I've bought outright but I've noticed the battery draining quickly in standby, when I look in the battery stats it say's my phone is awake all the time, I've never had that on any of my other android smart phones, starting to regret this purchase now :-(
Noticed that Z3 always awake (and thus bad battery life), even from within Ultra Stamina mode with no running apps? This happened to me twice now with just over two weeks of using this phone. I haven't been able to take specific steps to replicate this yet, but 2 days in about 16 days means so far over 12% of the days.
Usually, the phone lasts over 24 hours with moderate use. I normally have stamina mode "on", and set to activate at 50% battery level, and then Low Battery mode to activate at 20%. Note also that all the apps I am using have been installed from the first day I've been using the phone. That is, I have not installed any new apps before I noticed this happening, and when I have "normal" battery life it is using the same set of apps.
Here is an outline of what happens:
I notice a much faster than usual power drain, despite being a typical day of usage (i.e. nothing out of the ordinary). I go to battery usage, and see the history details, and see that "Awake" has been on constantly, including during long screen off times, and all the while with Stamina mode enabled and active.
I then restart the phone. Problem still there, still constantly awake despite screen off and stamina.
Battery dips below 20% and Low Battery mode activates.
Phone keeps on being constantly "awake", despite no usage and now both low battery AND stamina modes on. Restart the phone. Same problem.
I turn on Ultra Stamina mode. (I did this last time at 17%)
Phone continues to be always awake. Battery quickly drains down to 5% within less than an hour and almost no use, even though Ultra Stamina is supposed to stretch the life for an order of magnitude longer than that.
I shut off the phone to avoid complete discharge. When I return home, I plug it in and wait for a decent charge before turning the phone back on.
After full charge, I take the phone off the charger. Phone now works normally again, without always being "awake".
I can't figure out what causes this sequence of events to kick off in the first place. I'm trying to play around with things to get it to start doing this, but so far I haven't been successful in deliberately replicating the problem.
When I tried to connect to magnetic charging dock the Led and the charging symbol starts blinking continuously without getting charged, while it used to be perfect previously, and usb charging is perfectly fine , i even tried with multiple chargers.
When I connect my phone via the PC's USB, it is instantly recognised and starts charging. When I try this from the USB port in my car, it does not charge.I have tried two genuine Nokia USB data cables and two separate in car USB chargers but with the same result i.e. no in car charging. The in car USB chargers both work fine with the Garmin Nuvi.
It's a USB cable so why doesn't it work? Can anyone throw any light on this please?
My BBM seems very lazy! when someone sends me a message nothing happens, then when i go into BBM and start typing a message it wakes up and in come all the messages that have previously been sent to me! it is very annoying. Even if i send a message to someone - i don't get a reply come through until i start typing again!
Ever since the recent update, battery life is horrible. I just looked at the battery history and notice that the phone is always awake, a solid green bar on the graph.
When I try to charge it using my PC's USB port, the PC will try and identify it as a flash drive, but it will then bomb out - this is an endless cycle (the sound Windows makes when adding USB Flash drive and then removing it). Using different USB ports has the same result. I am not sure whether charging occurs, but after 10min or so I am still unable to switch the phone on.So I went to the device manager and I can see it reloading each time the N97 tries to register as a USB device. Then I went and looked at which port the N97 is connected to (open each USB root hub and look at the Power tab - ie refresh each time the new device found sound is played from Windows - the USB hub that will be connected to the phone will be indicated by "nokia usb flashing parent"). By disabling the applicable hub, the phone actually showed the Nokia logo on a white screen with the battery life indicator (non charging)when I then re-enabled the USB Root Hub, the display remained on the phone and it started charging.Without disabling the hub the phone would just continue to endlessly find and then discard the "flash drive".I was using Windows XP SP3.Nokia OVIsuite 2.2.0.241 I did manually terminate any Nokia processes prior to disabling the USB Root Hub (not sure how many tried to rerun again)finally it is charging again. Wasn't too keen on what happened, because I don't carry the charger with me when traveling abroad.
Issue with google+ keeping phone awake for way too long? This morning I unplugged my phone around 730 then fell back asleep until 9. When I checked my phone it was at 88%. I looked at the usage and although google+ was at a low % it had kept my phone awake since I unplugged.
Just to clarify, by awake, I don't mean screen on. It kept the phone from going to sleep when I turned the screen off and went back to bed. I immediately disabled the app, as I don't use it anyway, and the battery is back to normal, I think. Also, I have all the auto-backup options turned off on google+ so why it was kept awake for so long.
My Verz HTC One "stays awake" in airplane mode...I put my phone in airplane mode at work due to no signal but my battery will drain and my battery history shows the phone awake the whole time (no screen shot) Hard reset fixes problem only for a short period..there are no apps running...
I realize I'm careless for letting my battery die so often, but I have trouble unlocking my phone if I:let the battery die and the phone shut itself offplug the usb charger into my computer and the phoneturn on the phoneI end up being unable to unlock the phone. If I press the power button or menu button, I am prompted with the message "Use keyguard switch to unlock screen and keys" But sliding the keyguard switch has no effect.
Just got my torch kinda a newbie and noticed something odd,When I plug in my bb torch via mini USB using mini USB for bluetooth headset *smaller/thinner cable than supplied with bb* my bb displays the clock, on the bottom left my alarm time and icon and on the bottom right a icon that looks like the wall plug and a time
So I was having a bad battery drain issue after I got my One. Decided to relock and flash stock RUU.
80% lost in 14.5 hours with only half an hour of screen time. Funny thing is, the HTC battery stats don't seem to think the phone was awake much. My battery apps tell a different story - says it was kept awake for 8 hours, with the kernel to blame.
Not an app doing it. Things were fixed initially after the reflash, and then went back to their old ways yesterday.
