My X10 minipro Phone is charging but not getting detected by Computer when connected by USB cable.Not even in PC Companion. tried removing battery,sim,memory card no change tried reinstalling pc companion no change tried detecting from device manager still no help

The phone was not getting detected in USB.When I insert USB, I could see the charging LED glows. -So no problem with the connecting chord.I looked thro the forums.einstalling pc companion, rebooting machine, rebooting phone, soft reset - dint helpDevice manager (I am using Vista) shows two 'Base System Devices' - drivers are not working.I reinstalled pc companion, which inturn installed the drivers once again - No helpWhen I manually try to search the driver, nothing helped. The device works fine in Mass Storage Mode, so the connectivity cable & ports are alright. Then I tried with the 'Device Manager' Updating, Uninstalling & Reinstalling & even changing the ports. The device still fail to start in MTP Mode as the Windows 7 would say.

View 4 Replies View Relatedit seemed like a dodgey connection at first because if you just touched the charger it would start or stop charging. Its got to the point now where the charger does not work at all so i have borrowed another charger with the same connector this worked fine but with the same problems as before but now the phone will not charge at all. The charge light comes on on the phone but the percentage charge on the phone screen just keeps going down and not charging. I cannot take it back to 02 as i did not take out any insurance with them and its way over the 30 day guarantee.

It's not even charging. I bought it 15 days ago. I also tried to on it by holding vol. up button and home button but nothing is happening. And I also updated it to latest ics 4.0.4 by flash tool the day when I bought it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI Bought Sony Ericsson X10 Mini on June 7th 2011in Poorvika Mobile Shop in T.Nagar , Chennai.I didnt use it correctly for 1day .While it is charging it getting drained,totally switch off.I gave it to the sony showroom they said that software upgraded now it is working fine.But again i take that & put charge for that for 8 hours it is totally switched off. While i gave it to the mobile shop they are saying that it is the manufacture problem so Sony has to answer for it. But I was in totally lost the hope on Sony why they are producing these type of mobiles.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have updated my mini-pro SK17i two days ago (13.06) , sales item number 1251-8027 over the official update. Since the update the usb connection does not work anymore... i cannot connect to a computer and the usb charging does not work too. If i use the a/c power plug for the usb cable the charging works normal.
I've tested several computers with different usb ports and windows versions and different usb micro cables (each of them is working with other usb devices and phones).
I've searched for new settings in ICS like "activate charging over usb" without success.
I purchased an X10 mini three days ago and I've had nothing but trouble. It took three hours to finally get it to recognize my SIM chip. Now when I connect to the charger (PC and wall socket), it'll start charging and the light will turn orange but it will spontaneously shut off. As has been pointed out elsewhere, the phone won't charge unless so it's on, so you can see how this is a problem. I haven't been able to get the battery to fully charge (the best I've gotten is to 75%) and it gives it still gives it's status as discharging when it's hooked up. To add insult to injury, once the phone shuts off, I need to repeatedly press the on button (sometimes in conjunction with the home button) to get it to turn on. I'll get a little vibration and then nothing happens. I need to try about a dozen times before it'll finally respond. Do I need to return the phone for being defective or is there something I can do? I've had SE phones for the last six years, but this is enough to make me switch to another brand.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA few days ago the battery completely discharged and the phone switched off so i recharged it but initially i couldn't turn it on, it kept vibrating but the screen remained black. After several attempts (startup screen appearing but shutting off) i got it to turn on but the touch screen wasn't responding, i couldn't unlock the keypad. I was beginning to think my phone was bricked but taking the battery out and reinserting it seems to have sorted things out. Now i'm reluctant to let the battery fully discharge in case it happens again and i can't recover the phone!
Is this a bug caused by the update? I've read of others having similar issues. Yesterday for a few hours i couldn't dl apps from the store which is why i ask as similarly others have had this issue since updating. My X10 came with the update but was fine up until then.
I usually charge my phone overnight because the battery goes almost dead by the end of the day. I had connected my phone to the charger and tried to use the touch screen, it didnt work to my surprise. I tried to use the hardware buttons, they seemed to be working but all that in vain because when i tried to switch off the phone, i couldn't...!! Because the final screen to confirm the switch off of the phone is a touch command. This is not expected to happen on a device that i paid so much for...
I think there is some problem with the gravity sensor when connecting to the charger, i have seen this only when i connect my phone for charging and when the phone is in a position where the screen is facing the floor tilted towards the right. I have seen this problem 3 times, and would not like to see it happen again.
On some sites I have read I have to charge and discharge the battery completely a few times to make it better, on some I read lithium batterys don't like to be fully discharged and all you need is a few overnight charges or charging the battery for 1 to 16 hours. I am totally confues the sites are all about xperia mini pro battery. It can't both be correct, so which is it?

i am using xperia neo v for the past 9 months. its running stock ICS and its rooted. two days backs i was using my sim in my usb modem to connect pc and all was working fine.when i tried to put back the sim into my phone found, the sim was not getting inserted in the gap provided. after applying some pressure it went in and when i switched on the phone it was saying "Emergency Calls Only No Sim". i switched off the phone and tried to pull out the sim but it was like stuck there and was not coming out. after some serious pulling it came out. i tried my sim in another phone it was working fine and also tried other sims on my phone all the time its saying No Sim. after some attempts to insert and remove the sim now the slim slides in and out of the gap easily.after searching the issues in internet i updated the phone using sony update center but the issue still persists.is it an issue with the hardware? do i have to take it to the service center?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just returned home from abroad where I was using a local sim card rather than my own. When I use a different sim card, the settings inevitably get messed up. My phone now won't recognize my headphones after Throw kicks in. What happens is that I can get music to play if I manually stop Throw. As soon as Throw restarts, the music stops playing on my headphones and goes to my external speaker. My phone won't give me the option of disabling Throw. I've tried disabling Smart Connect, disabling the headphone compatibility app, adjusting settings in throw and Smart Connect, and still have gotten nowhere after hours wasted. Losing patience.

It applies to the noise cancelling and standard headphones.
Headphones work just fine (tested on a different audio player).
I bought an Xperia Z5 yesterday, and everything is working fine apart from my headphones not being recognised at all.
Firstly I tried my decent headphones which have an inline pause button which I've previously used without problem with my old android phone (Nexus 4), and the phone doesn't detect them at all, music still plays fully through the speakers.
I then plugged in an old pair with no inline controls, and they half played the music, (really low volume), with volume still coming out of the speaker.
I looked back at the issues seen on the Z3 and downloaded the soundabout app and tried to force the sound through the headphones, still nothing. I deleted the cache of the smart connect, chose the "music on the go option" and rebooted the phone.
Now I can get music properly through my old rubbish headphones without a button, but still nothing at all through my decent headphones with a button., with or without using the soundabout app.
Is this an issue with the headphone jack that i'll need to send the phone back for repair? Or is it a compatibility issue..(the headphones are "android" headphones so I find this doubtful? The headphones 100% work.
Xperia Z3 just came back from repairs, apparently they did software upgrades and replaced a hard drive, now its not reading my memory card. It was fine before the repair though.

It works with SoundAbout, but it's a pain to have the notification "hey buy me" everytime I switch on the headphones and it's a pain just to have to switch to listen to music.

I have a problem with my PC Companion (2.10.079) which was installed on 8-6-12 in my computer, I has used it many times but never had any virus problem till 28-08-12, The K7 anti virus on the system says PASSWORD STEALER 003d48a91 found when i opened the application on 28-08-12. I had the program uninstalled and again downloaded PC Companion (2.10.094) from the SONY website on 28-08-12.Again the same virus was detected and was removed. I had tried this twice but the result was same.
