View 5 RepliesWith both the charger and the USB charging, the screen shows charging, the battery meter runs as if charging, but even after an hour of charging, the charge remains the same and immediately shows low battery
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have both the DT-900 wireless charging plate and the DT-901 wireless charging stand. They both have a charge light that stays on when charging and goes off when charging is complete. I've notice that with the Icon the light never goes out when the phone is fully charged. When I charge my 822 the light goes out when it's fully charged.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI guess thats gonna be 2 more chargers needed then... one for the car and one for the office. And when the phone is at the office, it needs to be plugged in at BOTH ends, one for charge, the other for sync.
I simply can't understand what the hell Nokia were thinking about with sticking a Micro USB connection on the phone and then not using it for charging!, especially since they have signed the EU memorandum agreeing to adopting the Micro USB charging standard by 2011. [URL]
Nokia like to profile themselves as green - way to go for adding to the thousands of tonnes of electronic waste thats thrown away in Europe each year...
I was about to buy an in-car charger for my 9630. Since i have an in-car usb port, I;m wondering if I can just get a USB to microUSB cable, connect the phone to the car, and get a charge.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI switched from a 9000 to a 9700 so I bought mini to micro adapters to use on my car charger and my USB cable so that I wouldn't have to buy a bunch of new chargers.
When I plug my USB cable into my Belkin power block or cigarette adapter it won't charge, but if I plug in my wall charger or plug the cable into my USB port on my computer, it will charge my 9700. Both the power block and the cigarette adapter will charge my iPod, so I know it isn't the power block.
Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?
When I connect my phone via the PC's USB, it is instantly recognised and starts charging. When I try this from the USB port in my car, it does not charge.I have tried two genuine Nokia USB data cables and two separate in car USB chargers but with the same result i.e. no in car charging. The in car USB chargers both work fine with the Garmin Nuvi.
It's a USB cable so why doesn't it work?Can anyone throw any light on this please?
My phones bottom gold pin on the micro usb charging port broke.Is this covered? My phone has not been abussed, it is over protected with an Otter Box Defender case. I took it back to US Cellular and they wanted $50-$150 bucks to fix it with there own techs, and I also pay for the cell protection, they want $100 bucks to replace it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedGuys i've recently switched from a Bold 9000 to the 9700 and as you know, the 9700 comes with Micro USB port so all the mini USB accessories i have don't fit anymore.i came across MANY mini-USB to micro-USB adapters, but most if not all of them state "charging adapter" also saw many threads here about people complaining how their adapter charges but doesn't sync has anyone found a mini-USB to micro-USB adapter that charges AND syncs? don't understand the limitation since both have 5 pins, i would assume a straight forward adapter should exist somewhere
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to charge it using my PC's USB port, the PC will try and identify it as a flash drive, but it will then bomb out - this is an endless cycle (the sound Windows makes when adding USB Flash drive and then removing it). Using different USB ports has the same result. I am not sure whether charging occurs, but after 10min or so I am still unable to switch the phone on.So I went to the device manager and I can see it reloading each time the N97 tries to register as a USB device. Then I went and looked at which port the N97 is connected to (open each USB root hub and look at the Power tab - ie refresh each time the new device found sound is played from Windows - the USB hub that will be connected to the phone will be indicated by "nokia usb flashing parent"). By disabling the applicable hub, the phone actually showed the Nokia logo on a white screen with the battery life indicator (non charging)when I then re-enabled the USB Root Hub, the display remained on the phone and it started charging.Without disabling the hub the phone would just continue to endlessly find and then discard the "flash drive".I was using Windows XP SP3.Nokia OVIsuite 2.2.0.241 I did manually terminate any Nokia processes prior to disabling the USB Root Hub (not sure how many tried to rerun again)finally it is charging again. Wasn't too keen on what happened, because I don't carry the charger with me when traveling abroad.

If I press the power button or menu button, I am prompted with the message "Use keyguard switch to unlock screen and keys" But sliding the keyguard switch has no effect.

a few days ago I bought my SE X10 mini pro.I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35%
A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery.So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...
I preorded the iPhone 4 yesterday and got a confirmation email saying that once the phone is shipped they will send me "additional information, including your phone number." I realize that the SIM cards are different but am I going to have to "change" phone numbers? Will there be a way to transfer my phone number to the new phone? I'm getting the phone shipped to me and I realize all of these issues would be dealt with if I just picked the phone up from the store.I really don't want to do the cutting of the Mini SIM mod I've seen around the interwebs.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy sons Nokia was recently repaired under an insurance claim for water damage. After approx 2 weeks of recieving the phone back from the insurers the phone starting bhaving eratically - not allowing him to play music, showing the phone was charging when it wasnt plugged in. Well before i had chance to do anything about this the phone is now completly unresponsive, it turns on and off but when it is on none of the keys work, the touchpad doesnt work when you slide the screen up and down it does nothing. Does anyone know if this is something likely to be linked to the repair or if it is likely to be a seperate problem with the handset (possibly covered under warrenty) and just a coincednce?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just bought a N97 mini and it seems that when it is in power saver mode, the battery went from 4 bars to 0? I was shocked that I couldn't even turn it on in the morning. It's a real bummer when I have to leave the house and I realise my phone died overnight. Is this normal? Is there any way to save energy when I leave the phone in that mode at night? I'm very sure I have turned off all Wifi and Wlan and Bluetooth settings. Also, I believe my wall charger is faulty. There is no white light when plugged in. (Another bummer, when I returned home and realise my phone has not been charging the whole time I was out.) However, when I use the usb on my computer it works just fine.

I bought one of the awesome looking charging pods for my 9930-- but it doesn't charge my phone. The battery icon indicates that it is charging when I place the phone in the pod and the pod will activate bedside mode (when I have that function activated), but I have left it over night and the battery does not charge.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a Z5C for my wife, but I am withholding it fo test purposes because I own a Z3c... As per title, if I use it while charging the battery's charge drops or, at best, doesn't improve.
I had already:
-Tried more usb cables, including those one which came along our phones.
-Tried more chargers: my usual z3c charger, my MacBook Pro, my iPad's charger, a no-name wall charger rated for 1Ampere;
-Repaired with bridge for Mac;
-Restored to factory defaults, effect of which turned out to be more or less like "Repair" procedure;
I don't' have strange applications running, I don't play games, mail synchronization is manual. It's like my phones are on perpetual holidays.
More over: I used it just to surf the web and take a dozen of shot with the camera set at 8MP, so nothing really challenging. The phones back heats but not really that much.
I wanna to ask if iPhone battery not fully charging and charging until 97-98% will cause effected battery lifespan or not ?

I have had my X6 16GB for just over a year on a contract with O2, now I've not really had any problems with it, few bugs etc but nothing major. Recently out of the blue however it's decided it doesn't want to charge, the phone will show the charging indicator when the charger is plugged in however it will not charge the battery, then the battery will completely drain and I can no longer power the phone on.
The phone has a 2 year warranty and has just under a year left so it was sent back to O2 who have just said it is "Beyond economical repair" and sent me a broken phone back which is no use to me at all. I've had Nokia's for as long as I can remember but I'm not really quite sure what I'm to do with this one as at the moment it's a useless paper weight.
This annoying issue just started in the last few days. I use wireless charging almost exclusively including in the car. Once the phone is completely charged it cycles between charging and not charging. Every time it starts charging again it wakes the screen up and does the charging started notification which means a I get a notification sound about every minute or so.
