Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Automatically Turn Data Traffic On And Off?
Nov 30, 2010I don't always use the internet on my phone so i turn on data traffic only when i need it. but sometimes it does not automatically connect (the down/upload status is not visible) that i just usually restart my phone. Is this advisable and will it have any bad effect (such as phone deterioration and lower battery life) on my phone?

Nov 7, 2012On my new Lumia 920, Nokia maps is not showing traffic info for me. I have already updated to 3.0, but when I set the map view to traffic info, nothing happens.
WIth the builtin Bing maps however (which is not directly accessible, but for example when clicking on a contact's address), traffic info works just fine. I'm in Germany, so it's not about the coverage.

Feb 23, 2010Are people still receiving traffic information in the UK. It worked for about 2 weeks on the latest update (the free one of course!), but now it updates but doesn't download any new information and says its updated at so-and-so time.

Jun 18, 2010When you first use HD Traffic you set up a username (email address) and password. If you go to the "Traffic" menu in TomTom on a second phone and log in with those details it will work fine but inactivate HD Traffic on the first handset. AFAIK you can swap around as often as you like but it can only be operational on one phone at a time.

I have been using the Ovi Maps satnav regularly for several months (and am delighted with it)but never seem to get any traffic information - even when my car's built-in Traffic Master is warning me of congestion ahead.I have the phone set to update traffic information every five minutes but, to date, have never received anything! I don't even know how the information is presented when it arrives!

Mar 19, 2012I noticed this evening that my broadband connection was running very slowly, and realised that a wireless device was sending constant WiFi traffic.
I traced this back to my iPhone 4S and through experimentation have diagnosed it as follows: When the iPhone is connected to a mains charger and idle, it generates constant WiFi traffic.If I wake the iPhone it immediately stops sending WiFi traffic - until it goes back to sleep and idles again.Also if I unplug the iPhone from the mains it immediately stops sending WiFi traffic.The iPhone *never* does this when it is disconnected from the mains - only when it is charging. What is going on here? Does the iPhone do something over WiFi when charging and idle? Or is my handset likely to be faulty (I bought it from the Apple store in London about a week ago)?

Nov 8, 2011I got this unit as gift little while ago and just opened it. plugged it in and was receiving traffic and charging. i plugged in couple days later and now not charging and no traffic. the little green light is on at the cig plug and there is power to the end of barrel plug via test light. I looked over the cradle and pins all looks fine. i cleaned them just in case. so it would seem to be a cradle/dock issue. I cant find any issues with the unit and it charges fine on usb. i dont have a spare cradel to test it.
