Does anyone have any instructions to disassemble an LG Rumor 2/LX265? Maybe a schematic? I need some help. I can't remove the motherboard. There is a latch I cannot see on the right side of the phone.
View 1 RepliesThe LCD on my vx8575 chocolate touch cracked so I ordered a replacement that should be arriving mid-week. I have been searching for a disassembly guide/tutorial for this phone and so far I have found nothing. I see it has six screws on the back, so that's probably a good place to start. If someone has taken this phone apart or has a link to a guide that they could share, it would be much appreciated! If nothing materializes, I'll be sure to take photos and notes and post them after the surgery.

I tried cleaning every nook and cranny with no luck and now I'm thinking of cleaning the insides as well. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I might go about doing this? Or if they know any shop that might do this service for me?
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Sprint/Metro PCS HTC Diamond's touch screen all of a sudden stopped responding.If it had a keyboard like the PRO would've been no problem but NO KEYBOARD.Even though I did a PIM backup and had my old PRO handy and now connected I really want to see if I can get it back to life!!I opened it yesterday (thinking maybe it got loose and I could "just" connect it right) and could not get all the way to the screen so I decided to leave it alone, for now..Googled and all I got was GMS videos and stuff so I was wondering that maybe someone here has done it and could help me get to the screen and replace it...

I recently purchased an unlock code for the A177 - but I do not have the unlocking instructions on how to do it.
Not too long ago I unlocked the Samsung Hype ( Which is basically the Canadian version of the phone ). Are the unlocking instructions the same for this model phone as well? If not Can any of you provide me with the instructions on how to properly unlock this phone?
Ovi Maps 3.04 seems to work well on my E72. At first I got spoken navigation instructions, both from the phone speaker and a connected Bluetooth device SuperTooth. Somehow these instructions disappeared and a symbol, a faint crossed-out loudspeaker, appeared in the top right hand side of the screen. So I probably inadvertently switched off the spoken instructions, but I cannot find how to switch them back on. The manual doesn't mention the possibility nor the symbol.

All I want to know is exactly which screen I enter an address in to find my way there traveling by car. I assume this is what the Ovi maps are for however I am having a lot of difficulty getting it to work.

I got the contacts off the ic502 using iDEN Phonebook Manager. Am I going to have to go to a Sprint store? View 13 Replies View RelatedAs of Monday, we noticed all our BB fleet's times were an hour ahead.[URL]... as per the link from Telstra's web site.I uploaded the required time zone update as per the instructions, confirmed it is resident in the Blackberry but am still an hour over.
Checking the time info on the BB, it shows the Network time is correct but the device time is still one hour out.As I have not been able to find anywhere in the KB article that it is for Western Australia, I am guessing this DST patch was NOT applicable for ourselves.Is there another patch I need to try to allow the BB's to work?
just received an LG Scoop from my daughter that she had been using and overall it is a nice phone for me and I have been able to ad my personal ringers and photo for wallpaper. My biggest issue with this phone though is that I have a hard time seeing the tiny font when I read a text message. Has anyone figured out a filesystem fix for this or any other work around?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had my LG Rumor(unflashed) plugged into uniCDMA to get my security code and I clicked "read all" and my phone's info showed up. I saw the phones ESN # and I clicked "write" (assuming it would just rewrite the original ESN) & it said ESN write failed followed by my phone restarting. Once I plugged it back in, my ESN, MEID, and other codes where zeroed out.Is there anyway to restore it, because my ESN is showing up as zeros in my phone's settings and I'm trying to activate it with cricket. View 8 Replies View Relatedi have the rumor touch on virgin mobile, my problem is that in the predictive text mode it finds and adds words even though i dont want it too. this happened with the rumor 2 too, but the problem is you cant edit of delete these words.i was wondering if someone that has the rumor touch on sprint has a way to edit the dictionary and its just cut out of the virgin mobile rumor touch firmware (cause virgin mobile does it alot with thier software).

Fields under MMS are: Retry number, Gateway, MMSC Center, User Agent, MMSC Post URL, Upload Address, MMSC Post CGI, Authorization.Mostly want to be able to send media, Browser would be nice but is of minor concern. Also..."Gateway" is currently set as: mms.alltel.com, but when I try to edit it only allows input of numeric characters?Can connect to BitPim but only able to access "Filesystem" section.
I hate having a locked up phone. Somebody figure out how to get access to this phone's memory soon please.
