View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an older Curve, and recently changed my gmail password. For the first time I can remember, the phone needs me to enter the Key Store password. (T-Mobile has a security certificate with some issue, and I need to tell the phone, "Trust Certificate".)
I don't think I've ever dealt with Key Store password before. My PIN doesn't work. I have never enabled the phone's Password, never set the password.
Searches here in support plus reading the User's manual for this model 8320 tells me lots of info about the Key Store - including, I might have to reset the phone (and lose lots of data) - however no where have I determined, how was this password initially set? When I reset the phone, how do I even find out what the new password is? Is this something RIM sets, or T-Mobile sets, or do I set it? (Yes I see that I can change it - but only if I know what the existing password is.)
I have a new Curve 9300 and cannot find the Password Keeper app. It is not hidden. How can I get it installed?

However, the find function no longer works. If I type A, is says no passwords found even though I can see a bunch as soon as I open it. So how does one fix and non-functioning password keeper find function. It is painful trying to get to the ones that start with "Z!"

However, mine is not writing to the card even with apps that came installed on the phone, Camera, My Files, etc. Furthermore, when I try to backup files on my computer, it gives me an error message halfway through. Is there a way I can override the write permissions so I can go back to using my SD card? I like Samsung's concern for my privacy and security, but I'd prefer if they left that part up to me and let me use my SD card because, at the moment, it's useless.

I find it silly that the an option to find a lost or stolen phone isn't password protected and can be disabled with a few clicks.If I were a criminal, stealing an iphone, the first thing I'd do is disable that option.

I've got a C5 and can't work out how or if I'm able to set the text message inbox to override old messages. At the moment it gets up to about 2000 texts and then I have to delete them either one by one or the entire inbox at once. I've got into the settings for the ring tones, theoretically they should be silent along with everything else but it doesn't matter, they continue to play. Normal ring tones do play silently, or rather those numbers to which I have not assigned a custom ring tone.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI switched to Cricket from Virgin Mobile so I could go back to Windows with the 1320. In my 1st month with them I went over my 2.5 GB of data with about a week left in the month. In five years with VM I can count on one hand the times I went over 1.5 GB with them. Checking my data usage on Cricket's website I see 1-3 entries per day detailing my usage, some with very large amounts of data. Cricket CS tells me that my device uses their network first and Wi-Fi 2nd.
So in other words when I'm at home and connected to my home wi-fi the device will use Cricket's data even though it's connected to my Wifi. To fix this they told me I have to manually disable data from their network when I don't want to use it. Now this makes no sense to me since the 3 Android phones I've had did not do this once I connected to Wi-Fi the carrier's data was disabled. I think there must be a setting on the phone that must wrong that is keeping this from happening other that what Cricket CS told me. The way they explained it to me Wi-fi is useless because their data would be used regardless if it's connect or not.
Ovi Maps 3.04 seems to work well on my E72. At first I got spoken navigation instructions, both from the phone speaker and a connected Bluetooth device SuperTooth. Somehow these instructions disappeared and a symbol, a faint crossed-out loudspeaker, appeared in the top right hand side of the screen. So I probably inadvertently switched off the spoken instructions, but I cannot find how to switch them back on. The manual doesn't mention the possibility nor the symbol.
