I realize that the new 5.0 update restricts third party apps from writing to the SD card. However, mine is not writing to the card even with apps that came installed on the phone, Camera, My Files, etc. Furthermore, when I try to backup files on my computer, it gives me an error message halfway through. Is there a way I can override the write permissions so I can go back to using my SD card? I like Samsung's concern for my privacy and security, but I'd prefer if they left that part up to me and let me use my SD card because, at the moment, it's useless.

In my 1st month with them I went over my 2.5 GB of data with about a week left in the month. In five years with VM I can count on one hand the times I went over 1.5 GB with them. Checking my data usage on Cricket's website I see 1-3 entries per day detailing my usage, some with very large amounts of data. Cricket CS tells me that my device uses their network first and Wi-Fi 2nd.
So in other words when I'm at home and connected to my home wi-fi the device will use Cricket's data even though it's connected to my Wifi. To fix this they told me I have to manually disable data from their network when I don't want to use it. Now this makes no sense to me since the 3 Android phones I've had did not do this once I connected to Wi-Fi the carrier's data was disabled. I think there must be a setting on the phone that must wrong that is keeping this from happening other that what Cricket CS told me. The way they explained it to me Wi-fi is useless because their data would be used regardless if it's connect or not.

parental restrictions password was set on my 4S, and now wanting to take them off, but the problem is, i have forgotten the password. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been using the IPCU for a while now, however we are having more and more iPhones and iPads in the business and we are finding it more difficult to manage. To start with I enable a few security features, ie a passcode that is 6 digits and expires after 30 days. This is set to time out after 5 minutes and also to come into force if the device is switched off. Ok so that doesnt sound too difficult and we have overcome the issue (at our cost) with iPads and iPhones being setup at different times as we need to get the passcodes in synch.
My real problem (well two actually) is that if the person for whatever reason forgets their passcode their seems to be no way of resetting it over the air or with an admin override facility. That mean that they either have to keep guessing until they wipe the device or bring it to HQ to resolve. The second problem is that we are using EAS (exchange active synch) which is great and works well but when the passwords expire on their AD account the push notification then fires up the wrong password notification box and locks out their AD account. I know the easiest way is to not expire passwords but this is a legal requirement.
