I have Windows 7 installed and have seriously tried everything to fix this, deleting old back ups, cheacking my firewall, unintalling and reinstalling itunes, deleting pictures that may be corrupt. This started after an Apple Techincian had me restore the iPhone because I was having WiFi issues, which continued even after the fact. This is a replacement iPhone 4S. My original 4S had battery issues and had to be replaced. Unbeknownst to me, Apple replaces with refurbished iPhones, a practice I do not agree with. I experienced the WiFi dropping from the get-go with the replacement/refurbished iPhone 4S, but hung in there hoping it was just a fluke. It appears this iPhone 4S will need to be replaced.
Back to the issue at hand. I have removed all backups from iTunes. Of course now I have no backups stored on iTunes or iCloud.I have run Disk Utilities to repair permissions. I have reset the iPhone. I tried to restore it, but it will not restore since it cannot backup current data. I have made sure all OS software is updated. I have made sure permissions are unlocked in Backup folder on my HD.

I can access the backup by using MobileSyncBrowser or iPhoneBackup Extractor. The Data is there and accessible. How can I restore the data to my iphone? View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded IOS 8 from my developer account, and i got tired of all the crashes so i decided to restore back to IOS 7.1.1 , and so i downloaded the latest IOS 7 IPSW , entered DFU Mode and i held down option on my mac and clicked "Restore" , chose my IPSW, but halfway through iTunes froze. I waited for about 40 minutes but then i needed to go, so i took it out without a choice.
I came back and it was in Recovery mode,i tried the same steps, but it keeps freezing at the exact same moment.
I tried both of my mac's USB ports, two lightning bolt cables, another Windows PC, nothing seems to work.
The strange thing is, when i try to restore it on my Mac it just freezes in the middle, but when i try to restore it on my PC it just gives me an error.
The error is:" The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be restored.An unknown error occurred. Error number 14".

I am not able to sync my iPhone 3GS on iTunes. I keep getting an error "backup cannot be saved on this computer". I have tried to sync my phone to both my old desktop and my brand new laptop running the lastest version of iTunes but I keep geeting the same error.
