I recently lost my SD card to my blackberry 9810 and am attempting to restore the files onto a new SD card to a computer. I had automatic backups set up from the Blackberry desktop manager and Blackberry protect. I was under the assumption that these backups also backed up information on the SD card. Unfortunatley, when I tried to restore my phone using a blackberry desktop no old files where restored to my new SD card.I have read an old post that says the automatic backups do not backup SD card documents but am unsure if that is still true.Is there anyway I could restore the files using the backups?
Im selling my iphone now i have a sony xperia play. After putting my sim card into the xperia and trying to import contacts,it says there are no contacts on my sim card?

I purchased an unlocked 3gs iphone and tried to sync it with itunes to get updates on the software. I clicked on update but nothing happened so I clicked on restore and it basically wiped the whole phone clean and now it wont pick up my sim card and is saying my serial code is wrong?
Am trying to restore my iPhone 3GS iOS, instead it tells me 'There is no SIM card installed in the phone you are attempting to activate'.i am using my phone in kenya, i had jailbroken it, then updated the software from iOS 5.0.1 to iOS 5.1 so it can't read my SIM card.
My iphone keeps telling me that "iphone could not activate" when i try to activate it through wi-fi. When i try connecting it to itunes itunes says that "could not activate this iphone cause there is no sim card in the phone that you are trying to activate" I have a brand new sim card installed in the phone.
all I have a problem with restoring from iCloud I wanna know if I can restore from iCloud without inserting sim card or I have to insert the sim cardI have iPhone 4 and I wanna know if I can restore from iTunes on my pc
It was working fine first when it came but it didn't have any of my data on it and it was jail broken. I researched into this and it said that a restore of the software would get rid of that and then I'd be able to put my own data onto it. It was extracting the software everything seemed like a normal restore but then it came up with the message "the SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported" I cannot get passed it and O2 (I'm in the uk) the staff in my local shop just didn't have a clue what to do.
i got this iphone 3g from a friend. He got it for the US from another person. We have no idea what the carrier is or if its factory unlocked or not. The phone was not jailbroken or anything. Then one day my friend updated his iphone 3g to the ios 4.1 which also upgraded his baseband to 06.15.00 so the phone is now locked and no sim here in Bahrain can be used. He asked me if i could unlock it for him so i tried to do so thinking i could use ultrasnow. I jailbroke it first using redsnow 09.6b2 and pointed it on its firmware 4.1 (from iclarified) when it asked for one and the jailbreak went through perfectly.
But then what he forgot to tell me was that there the wifi wasnt working on his phone. There would just be that thing circling next to the connecting to wifi but nothing would show up. So there is no way for me to get into cydia and get the ultrasnow right? So i read thru some forums here and found that the wifi thing is a bug with the ios4 when u update? So i thought of downgrading the phone instead to 3.1.3. When i tried to do that using the full restore where u shift click the restore button and select the 3.1.3 firmware, it was going okay it first but then i got a 1015 error in itunes that the phone cant be restored. So i did the recovery fix (which i was able to succesfully do to another friend's iphone) it almost worked with this one but i coouldnt connect to itunes after coz i get the message:: "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.Only compatible SIM cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit supported Carrier's store to receive a replacement SIM card" This is where i am stuck. I dont even know what firmware the phone is currently in after what i did.
I have an unlocked iPhone3GS that I used in Thailand for 2 years with a Thai SIM card. Now I am back in the USA and I got a AT&T SIM card without a contract. I wanted to update to the newer version of iOS so I contacted AT&T and had them do an authorized iPhone unlock. I backed up my iPhone and then restored it in iTunes. After restarting the phone iTunes told me there was no SIM card installed in the device. I've taken the AT&T SIM card out and put it back in but nothing changes.
i tunes said "cannot identify i phone unplug and plug again. to update. It was then downloading software for 17 minutes..and then froze with a usb arrow itunes logo on the screen.I have tried to restore and am getting "cannot restore unknown error has occurred 21"
I've reseted the data of my phone recently and I've backed it up in my sd card but I don't know how to restore the data found in the sd card to my phone, how do I do this?I need my contacts and messages
I got my Galaxy S2 this morning i had a HTC Sensation previously i backed everything up using ES File explorer everything has been transferred over to my new phone music pictures etc it's just the sms i don't have a clue how to restore
I back up my mobile thru th pc suite..and i update the phone to newer version.when I restored my files back i found that the memory card content did not restored at all while i was backing it up? how can i restore my memory card content back?
I wasn't able to back up all my information via PC Suite as the connection kept going, so I backed it all up to my memory card. The phone is now working OK (including connecting to PC Suite) but I can't see the option to restore the information (calendar and contacts) from my memory card to my phone. I know it should be in File Manager, Memory Card, Options, but the option simply isn't there- I can either remove my memory card, or back up my phone to the memory card which as it has no information on it I don't want to do!
I just unlocked my bootloader, and following the subsequent reset I tried to restore from my backup in the SD Card. Everything shows up, the SD Card with the date I backed up and everything. When I click the button, nothing happens. It registers my touch, I get the button animation and the little "ting" sound, but that's it. It stays in that screen and nothing happens.  What I tried so far:  Reboot Reinsert SD Card Connect to my accounts (Google, Sony) Input my old PIN code Unchecking options  It's currently reinstalling all my apps, will update if anything changes after that. Reinstalling all apps doesn't solve it.  Model: Xperia Z5 Compact E5823 SI 1298-4171 Rev1
i reset my phone and now all the applications are gone, but the memory card still has everything. Like the data and all. The application are gone from the menu. Is there any way i can bring 'em back?
due to several reasons it seems that I need to format my N5800 XM existing memory card but I have installed quite a lot of applications so recreating them would be quite a pain. The question is: is it possible to do a complete backup from the Nokia Ovi Suite program, format the memory card and then _restore_ all contents including memory card contents so it will be exactly as before?
Suddenly telephone was dropped to water, only one thing remain alive - mini SD card, there can find few file named as Phone Contact. How I can open them on standard PC with Windows XP?
After receiving my 5800 I had to restore factory settings and format the memory card to get rid of unwanted pre-installed content. Before that, I had no problems connecting the phone to the computer via USB and transferring media files, but now - Ovi player doesn't recognize it when I connect the phone and select PC suite modemedia transfer mode. Bluetooth works, mass storage mode via USB works. I am using Windows 7.Is there anything that I need to reinstall on the phone to get it to work? has anybody seen this problem?
I switched iphones today with a friend of mine. I made sure that I had backed up everything to my computer AND iCloud before doing the trade. Did it, everything set up fine. Restored through iTunes and then turned on. I still had my email, texts, call logs, contacts and notes. But all my apps and songs are gone. How do i get them back?
I'm planning to restore my iPhone while updating to iOS 4 since I've bee using the same old backup for 3 years or so now, installed a bunch of thing etc... so I want to start from scratch.
The only thing I don't want to lose are my SMS.I also don't want to jailbreak my iPhone. What are the solution to backup only my SMS (so not regular iTunes backup) and then restore that only to my freshly installed iOS4?
I inadvertently backed up my iPod Touch 3G which ended up being a blessing because it actually died due to water damage. When I get my new iP4 I want to restore from that iPod Touch backup because it has many apps I use for studying including the settings which I definitely need. Is there a way to restore just the apps? How would/could I restore at least the one app with data that I really need?
I finally updated my iPhone to 5.1. I waited so long because of the fiasco updating my iPod Touch when 5.0 first came out. I thought it worked, I was pleased Apple worked out the bugs. Lo and behold, all of my apps and folders disappeared before my eyes. No problem I thought, I did a back up. Restore from back up. Fifteen minutes later, it looks exactly the same. Isn't a backup supposed to be of everything on the system so that if something goes wrong, you just revert back to the back up and either try again or wait for the process to be fixed? Seriously, get your stuff together.
if I restore factory setting to my iPhone, is it still possible to restore the backup from itune/ icloud to get the purchased apps and other informations?
I cant get my iphone to turn on, I tried to restore it and it told me they couldn't restore it, is it junk or is there something that can get it to work?
I have been using my iPhone 4 as an iPod for a while because I'm waiting for AT&T to unlock it. I wanted to restore my phone to backup in my computer, but the restore button only restored my phone to factory settings, and it now tells me to activate the phone but I don't have the original SIM. Is there a way to restore to backup without activating the phone?
