I back up my mobile thru th pc suite..and i update the phone to newer version.when I restored my files back i found that the memory card content did not restored at all while i was backing it up? how can i restore my memory card content back?

View 4 Replies View Relateddue to several reasons it seems that I need to format my N5800 XM existing memory card but I have installed quite a lot of applications so recreating them would be quite a pain.The question is: is it possible to do a complete backup from the Nokia Ovi Suite program, format the memory card and then _restore_ all contents including memory card contents so it will be exactly as before?
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter receiving my 5800 I had to restore factory settings and format the memory card to get rid of unwanted pre-installed content.Before that, I had no problems connecting the phone to the computer via USB and transferring media files, but now - Ovi player doesn't recognize it when I connect the phone and select PC suite modemedia transfer mode. Bluetooth works, mass storage mode via USB works. I am using Windows 7.Is there anything that I need to reinstall on the phone to get it to work? has anybody seen this problem?
View 5 Replies View Relatedi own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?

When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted.Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. What is wrong with my 5230, why it doesnt find my memory card and why inserting it makes so slow? I would like to get it work because it has all my music and pictures etc...

The phone is now working OK (including connecting to PC Suite) but I can't see the option to restore the information (calendar and contacts) from my memory card to my phone. I know it should be in File Manager, Memory Card, Options, but the option simply isn't there- I can either remove my memory card, or back up my phone to the memory card which as it has no information on it I don't want to do!

I have no other stuff installed on the internal memory card and tried to download all available maps for the world. "All" did not work from the beginning, so I started with Europe and America. Trying Asia now, Ovi suite complains that the card memory is full. But there are 2.7GB left out of 7.5, the magic slider in Ovi maps says maps can consume 90% of E:.1G would be required only.Any Idea why Ovi Suite complains about no more memory? I also have the impression that the consumption calculus is buggy: After adding the 2nd download America, the memory usage displayed is garbage (nothing on the right side and 750M above the phone icon). I also noticed that maps loaded with Ovi Suite do not get listed in Ovi Maps loader and vice versa. Why? What is the right methodology to create content for the maps application 3.0.3 and higher?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI think my N97 is playing up. I cant take photos as it says my E drive is full which is nonsense as I only had 5 pics on there no music or video!. When I went to file manager it wont let me access the mass memory as it says "memory in use". I thought if I synced it up to my Mac i could somehow get into the E drive and see what the problem is but low and behold its not compatible. I've had a look on here for Mac versions and theres lots of people talking about it but no links or descriptions as to where I might find it!. I sync is useless as this just does calendar and notes. I need something that will let me access everything on my phone.

everything was working fine until I updated the Ovi Suite to v 2.1.1.245 then phone wouldnt sync anymore. I restore the computer back to the date before the Ovi suite was updated taking it back to v 2.1.1.1. now the phone still wil not sync. any ideas ? (Im syncing with the usb cable). I often get a messege telling me to set my phone to "set my phones usb mode to ovi suite or PC Suite" which I do of course but no success just fails to sync evrytime now. wish I had nevver tryed to update the ovi software now.
I had Nokia e52 which is dead now and I have backed up its contacts via nokia ovi online , and since it is no available anymore online, I had to download the zip file of my contacts from nokia ovi online which contains csv file . Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?

All is well except when i connect to PC via USB cable and select 'Mass Storage' I get the message 'Memory Store Unavailable' on my phone and cannot access the contents of my memory card. I have the latest firmware on the phone. As I noticed that my memory is geting low, I deleted my music using File manager and deleted some Saved pages. Problem is that used memory is still the same like it was before I deleted the files. I suppose that my deleted files gone to recycle bin or something like that? How can I REALY delete it (without reset)?
