IPhone :: Restore From ICloud Without Inserting Sim Card?
Jun 29, 2012
all I have a problem with restoring from iCloud I wanna know if I can restore from iCloud without inserting sim card or I have to insert the sim cardI have iPhone 4 and I wanna know if I can restore from iTunes on my pc
i tunes said "cannot identify i phone unplug and plug again. to update. It was then downloading software for 17 minutes..and then froze with a usb arrow itunes logo on the screen.I have tried to restore and am getting "cannot restore unknown error has occurred 21"
I was previously using a work Nokia phone with an 02 sim card and my wife has an iPhone. She upgraded to an iPhone 4 leaving her 3GS spare. I therefore placed my sim card n the phone and it worked fine with accessing wifi only, which is all that I require. I upgraded the software and again it worked ok for approx 12 hours. Now the phone comes up SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED and is permanently saying NO SERVICE. I have put the sim card back in my Nokia phone and it is saying the same. All phones on 02.
I switched iphones today with a friend of mine. I made sure that I had backed up everything to my computer AND iCloud before doing the trade. Did it, everything set up fine. Restored through iTunes and then turned on. I still had my email, texts, call logs, contacts and notes. But all my apps and songs are gone. How do i get them back?
I've just bought a 16gb micro-sd scard by san disk. I've tried inserting it, (with the metal prongs face up as you are looking at the screen). It slides it but doesn't click in place, instead it pops back out unless I close the lid. It's not bringing up any message to say it's detetecting anything either. What's going on?
for something reason, my phone started to be DAMN slow and laggy, when i try to go menu, it takes about 10 seconds to get to menu, and all is laggy in this phone. When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted. Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. What is wrong with my 5230, why it doesnt find my memory card and why inserting it makes so slow? I would like to get it work because it has all my music and pictures etc...
My friend just purchased a Bold 9700. I am going to install a 16GB micro SD card for him. The transfer rate is SO slow and I basically want to fill up the card with music and videos. To put on 10Gb seems like it's gonna take over an hour!! Maybe even two!! Ridiculous!!Would it be possible for me to load up all the music/videos onto the card at my house, then just pop the SD card into his phone with all the media pre-loaded? Or would it not work?
Also, just a side question, but if I fill up the majority of the card (let's say I leave about 1 or 2GB free), would it affect overall general speed of the phone, or is that not affected by the SD capacity?
I recently inserted a 16GB microSD card in my Bold 9000 and I observed that my BB starts draining its batteries quite fast. There aren't any applications running in the background, I make sure I exit them properly, and I rarely use Wifi or Bluetooth. I am totally lost as to why it is loosing power so fast. Even after charging the BB to 100% after reboot and allowing it to stand, the battery still drains faster. If I do disable the media card support, everything remains fine and the BB has normal power drain. I don't even use it except for checking my mails.
I lost my phone, an iphone 4S. I have an older 3GS as well as an icloud account that was set up when I bought the new one. How do I do this? When they gave me a new SIM card for my 3GS and reactivated it, the phone was right where it left off when I shut it down and turned on the new one.
I bought a iPhone 4S and thought all my data from my 3GS was going to be transferred - surprise didn't happen. Is there a way to move my data stored in iCloud to my new phone?
Is there a way to restore my device to an old iCloud backup? Yesterday I had to restore my device with my iTunes backup and it was months old and I'm afraid that now my iCloud backup is overwritten. Is there a way to choose whick backup I want to restore and say, 2 days ago instead of the latest one?
I purchased a new iPhone 3GS and started using it. I set up iCloud backup, and chose to save all my contacts etc to iCloud. The device was defective, so I had to exchange it. When setting up the new device, it doesn't seem to see the backup I made. It makes me setup a new device. After I setup the new device when I go to iCloud settings, I can see the backup I made earlier, but there is no way to restore it. What should I do? There is no apple store in my country. When I erase the phone and try to set it up it doesn't "see" the backup, and makes me setup a new phone. After setting up the phone it can see the backup (In iCloud settings I can see it), but there is no restore option. When I log into [URL], I can see all the contacts, so it has indeed been backed up. I just don't know how to get it on the phone.
Today I backed up my iPhone to iCloud before restoring. Now my iPhone is restoring from the Computer backup from 6 months ago, not from iCloud. How can I restore from today's iCloud backup?
I just got a new iPhone 4S yesterday due to a speaker that wasn't working. The Genius Bar helper confirmed that I had backed up everything yesterday morning and so last night he deleted my old iphone material and then restored on the new phone. However, the restore, when finished, didn't include a lot of apps and some data was missing.if I can still try to restore it? Don't know how or why this happened.I had it set to store all data.It also didn't restore to the newest software although it had been upgraded.
if I can simply restore from iCloud directly on my phone, without having to directly connect to iTunes. Will the unlock process still finish if I restore via iCloud, or do I have to connect to iTunes?
Restoring from iCloud backup: I downloaded iTunes, synched my iPhone 4s, and don't see any email, contacts, calendar items, photos, videos, or text messages. The screen does say the last backup to iCloud was minutes ago, but I have no idea how to check iCloud to make sure all my stuff is there before I restore my iPhone. (I need to restore the iPhone because it's having problems and Apple told me to do that through iTunes.) Apple told me I'd see everything in iTunes and could copy the stuff over once the restore is complete, but I just don't see anything in iTunes.
I purchased an iPhone 5S yesterday to upgrade from my 4S. I had everything backed up to iCloud. When I got the new phone, I restored the phone from the prior iCloud backup.
It went mostly smoothly, except it is still going. iCloud says it is still restoring and maybe half of my 1300+ photos are available. One the bottom of photos, it says "Downloading..."
I had to go different places in the past day or so, and I have been in and out of Wi-Fi. Is that the problem? Should it automatically continue to restore when I am back with a Wi-Fi connection? Is there a way to jump start this to make sure it is continuing?Â
I'm trying to restore a new iPhone from the Cloud but keep getting the following error message - Could Not Sign In - There was a problem connecting to the server. Wi-fi connection is good and Apple ID and password are all correct. What does this mean and how to I resolve?!
