I've just bought a 16gb micro-sd scard by san disk. I've tried inserting it, (with the metal prongs face up as you are looking at the screen). It slides it but doesn't click in place, instead it pops back out unless I close the lid. It's not bringing up any message to say it's detetecting anything either. What's going on?
View 6 RepliesMy friend just purchased a Bold 9700. I am going to install a 16GB micro SD card for him. The transfer rate is SO slow and I basically want to fill up the card with music and videos. To put on 10Gb seems like it's gonna take over an hour!! Maybe even two!! Ridiculous!!Would it be possible for me to load up all the music/videos onto the card at my house, then just pop the SD card into his phone with all the media pre-loaded? Or would it not work?
Also, just a side question, but if I fill up the majority of the card (let's say I leave about 1 or 2GB free), would it affect overall general speed of the phone, or is that not affected by the SD capacity?
Need to figure out regarding fatal error while inserting memory card...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently inserted a 16GB microSD card in my Bold 9000 and I observed that my BB starts draining its batteries quite fast. There aren't any applications running in the background, I make sure I exit them properly, and I rarely use Wifi or Bluetooth. I am totally lost as to why it is loosing power so fast.
Even after charging the BB to 100% after reboot and allowing it to stand, the battery still drains faster. If I do disable the media card support, everything remains fine and the BB has normal power drain. I don't even use it except for checking my mails.
my bezel is clicking its not loose but its clickig a little in the sides wht should i do?

View 12 Replies View RelatedOk, so I got my bold 9700 last week and love itBUT, the trackpad will make the clicking noise ok for a few minutes and then suddenly disappear and won't make the clicking noise until i remove the battery and it reboots.Went back to the store this a.m. and switched it out for another one and SAME problem.worked fine for about 30 minutes and now the same thing.

If i go to google i can type in what i want to search but then when i hit enter it doesnt respond, same as if i try to click on the search icon it doesnt do anything. If once on any page i can move the arrow around just unable to click or do anything else and if i need to reinstall browser please let me know what my options are.

I therefore placed my sim card n the phone and it worked fine with accessing wifi only, which is all that I require. I upgraded the software and again it worked ok for approx 12 hours. for something reason, my phone started to be DAMN slow and laggy, when i try to go menu, it takes about 10 seconds to get to menu, and all is laggy in this phone. When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted.Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. What is wrong with my 5230, why it doesnt find my memory card and why inserting it makes so slow? I would like to get it work because it has all my music and pictures etc...

I thought maybe it was a problem with the apps, but I started noticing it happening whike sending a text the phone will click on suggested words by itself, and even if I'm just on the home screen apps will open on their own.

From the Contacts List I press a contact, then Menu, then there is a Copy to SIM Phone Book and when I press Enter or the trackpad, nothing happens. View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought an unlocked BB 9700 a couple of weeks ago and brought it to Costa Rica, it was working like a charm, until last night. The phone died (no charge) and when plugged back in, it started rebooting itself. I didn't notice this until this morning (it rebooted all night long) and now I am able to use the phone without the SIM card in, but as soon as i put the sim in, the phone goes on an endlees reboot.

Doing this broke a contact point off in the sim socket giving initialization failed message. I took the phone apart trying to come up with a fix of my own...... no success
-what are my options? i cannot find the main board and the socket is integrated unlike other blackberry models.
-can i buy the main board?
