View 2 RepliesTried to format it on pc/bb bt didnt work. When i load it into the pc via the memory reader the files show up as read only. I double checked to be sure the adaptor wasn't locked and even tried with another memory card and it was fine with the other card.My 8gb card is new and i formatted it as i put it in my bb. I media sync'd with desktop software and when i disconnected I got the error.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a micro sd 8 GB memory card. It came along with my nokia 5730. I never changed this card since last 3 years but when I inserted it in my BB phone, it didn't recognised and I indicated i.e. Cannot access the memory card for fatal reasons. I want to know if I can use this card with my blackberry or I'd have to buy some other? Or is there any special type of memory card for blackberry?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently inserted a 16GB microSD card in my Bold 9000 and I observed that my BB starts draining its batteries quite fast. There aren't any applications running in the background, I make sure I exit them properly, and I rarely use Wifi or Bluetooth. I am totally lost as to why it is loosing power so fast.
Even after charging the BB to 100% after reboot and allowing it to stand, the battery still drains faster. If I do disable the media card support, everything remains fine and the BB has normal power drain. I don't even use it except for checking my mails.
for something reason, my phone started to be DAMN slow and laggy, when i try to go menu, it takes about 10 seconds to get to menu, and all is laggy in this phone. When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted. Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. What is wrong with my 5230, why it doesnt find my memory card and why inserting it makes so slow? I would like to get it work because it has all my music and pictures etc...
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Bold keeps sending me a message saying my media card has failed because it has a fatal error. I have lost my photos and music. What do I do to repair?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAlright, a friend of mine gave me a Blackberry Bold 9700 after unlocking it, which is awesome. What's not so awesome is that when I first turned it on, it informed me that the media card could not be accessed due to a fatal error. So I checked the card, made sure it was properly inserted, then went to the options menu and tried to format and repair the card, both of which failed. So I tried pulling the battery and that didn't work, either. Unfortunately, I don't have a card reader to actually check this out on my PC.I saw that there were other posts on here from people with similar issues, but I couldn't find a clear answer as to what works to resolve this.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIve recently bought a SanDisk 32gb MicroSDHC card class 4. When I inserted the card into my phone I get the above message? I've tried to format the card and get the following message 'media card format failed'. I've tried rebooting phone etc with no results is it worth exchanging the card or shall I just throw the phone in the bin and buy an IPhone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a new Curve 8520 today, after my last one (same model) gave me issues. Everything goes fine except for the media card which is unaccesible for fatal errors. I HAVE tried the following: Formatting the card, Repairing the card, formatting the card via PC (the pc reads it fine), connecting via desktop manager, restoring backups, removing and replacing card and battery. On my last phone the card gave me no errors at all.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a Transcend 16gb class 6 Micro SDHC yesterday. Everything went well until I put it in my Torch 9800and formatted it like it requested. Afterwards I received the media card fatal error. Here's where it getrs strange: I assumed the card had corrupted, but upon using the adapter to access it on the computer, it worked fine there. Tried reformatting from the comp, still works on the comp., but upon insertion in the phone, fatal error. I tried puting it in my old 8520, works like a charm, no issues. Tried reformatting using the 8520, still a fatal error when inserted into the Torch. My old card that I was using was a Transcend 8gb Class 6, Which still functions with no probs.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a 16gb micro-sd scard by san disk. I've tried inserting it, (with the metal prongs face up as you are looking at the screen). It slides it but doesn't click in place, instead it pops back out unless I close the lid. It's not bringing up any message to say it's detetecting anything either. What's going on?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy friend just purchased a Bold 9700. I am going to install a 16GB micro SD card for him. The transfer rate is SO slow and I basically want to fill up the card with music and videos. To put on 10Gb seems like it's gonna take over an hour!! Maybe even two!! Ridiculous!!Would it be possible for me to load up all the music/videos onto the card at my house, then just pop the SD card into his phone with all the media pre-loaded? Or would it not work?
Also, just a side question, but if I fill up the majority of the card (let's say I leave about 1 or 2GB free), would it affect overall general speed of the phone, or is that not affected by the SD capacity?
While trying to upgrade software, the message "A fatal error has occurred while upgrading your device's software. Please try again." Then the phone switches off.
The phone is not synchronizing with any of the desktop applications - Microsoft outlook, calendar, task, memo.
I have tried everything on the blackberry like remove, reinsert, battery pull, options--->memory--->format and repair to no avail. I plug the card into the reader and get nothing on both mac and windows.Media Card Cannot Be Accessed Due To Fatal Errors
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an Mac running the Tiger OSX operating system. Because this is an older OS, the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software will not run on my computer. So far, I refuse to pay $170 to upgrade my computer just to run the Blackberry software. Instead, I manually drag my music files from iTunes onto my phone and then organize them later. My problem is as follows:Only some of the music appears on my phone, while much of it does not. At first, I thought this was a DRM issue with iTunes, but some of my downloaded iTunes music does appear and is playable on my BlackBerry.Regardless of how little music appears in my phone's media folder, my BlackBerry memory reflects that I uploaded the FULL amount of my music! Now, the latest problem. When I connect my phone to my Mac and try to delete all the files, they completely disappear from the phone and I still have a massive amount of occupied memory!Failed resolution attempts include: Restarting BlackBerry, battery pull, searching all over my phone's folders via my Mac looking for lost files (none found).
View 8 Replies View Relatedi have the blackberry bold 9790, my memory card had alot of photos and videos until one day i accessed my photos folder and realised the pics and vids on the memory card werent showing up. An error message appears 'Built-in media storgae not accessible due to detected errors. do you wish to repair, when i click yes another message comes up stating 'select the storgae you want to repair' it has the only built in media option and cancel so i click built in media now it states 'built in media repair failed, you can try to repair by mounting as a usb drive on windows and running chkdsk. or you can reformat. do you want to reformat now.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have this Bold 9900 for about half a year, first few month the Media card was that I transferred from my old BB was working fine, then without physical damage of the phone the "Media Card Storage can not be accessed due to fatal errors" msg started occurring during the charge and on/off. I bought a new 32GB SD card, the problem still exists, I check both cards on other devices, they both work fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was previously using a work Nokia phone with an 02 sim card and my wife has an iPhone. She upgraded to an iPhone 4 leaving her 3GS spare. I therefore placed my sim card n the phone and it worked fine with accessing wifi only, which is all that I require. I upgraded the software and again it worked ok for approx 12 hours. Now the phone comes up SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED and is permanently saying NO SERVICE. I have put the sim card back in my Nokia phone and it is saying the same. All phones on 02.
