May 23, 2012I switched iphones today with a friend of mine. I made sure that I had backed up everything to my computer AND iCloud before doing the trade. Did it, everything set up fine. Restored through iTunes and then turned on. I still had my email, texts, call logs, contacts and notes. But all my apps and songs are gone. How do i get them back?

When they gave me a new SIM card for my 3GS and reactivated it, the phone was right where it left off when I shut it down and turned on the new one.

Apr 15, 2012I purchased a new iPhone 3GS and started using it. I set up iCloud backup, and chose to save all my contacts etc to iCloud.The device was defective, so I had to exchange it. When setting up the new device, it doesn't seem to see the backup I made. It makes me setup a new device. After I setup the new device when I go to iCloud settings, I can see the backup I made earlier, but there is no way to restore it. What should I do? There is no apple store in my country.When I erase the phone and try to set it up it doesn't "see" the backup, and makes me setup a new phone.After setting up the phone it can see the backup (In iCloud settings I can see it), but there is no restore option.When I log into [URL], I can see all the contacts, so it has indeed been backed up. Jun 20, 2012Restoring from iCloud backup: I downloaded iTunes, synched my iPhone 4s, and don't see any email, contacts, calendar items, photos, videos, or text messages. The screen does say the last backup to iCloud was minutes ago, but I have no idea how to check iCloud to make sure all my stuff is there before I restore my iPhone. (I need to restore the iPhone because it's having problems and Apple told me to do that through iTunes.) Apple told me I'd see everything in iTunes and could copy the stuff over once the restore is complete, but I just don't see anything in iTunes.

ICloud Restore To New IPhone 5s Slowness
Jun 23, 2014I purchased an iPhone 5S yesterday to upgrade from my 4S. I had everything backed up to iCloud. When I got the new phone, I restored the phone from the prior iCloud backup.
It went mostly smoothly, except it is still going. iCloud says it is still restoring and maybe half of my 1300+ photos are available. One the bottom of photos, it says "Downloading..."
I had to go different places in the past day or so, and I have been in and out of Wi-Fi. Is that the problem? Should it automatically continue to restore when I am back with a Wi-Fi connection? Is there a way to jump start this to make sure it is continuing?Â

Jun 4, 2014My iPhone recently went into recovery mode, so I had to restore it. I restored it through my iCloud backup, which had backed up the day before. It said to charge the phone as is was redownloading everything, because it loses the battery fast. I was charging it overnight (which I do sometimes, and it always completely charges in that 8-9 hour time period, obviously), but it only went from 20% to 99% in 8 hours! Then I started using my phone, checking to see if everything had downloaded correctly, and in about 3 minutes, it dropped from 99% to 86%.
I know that this commonly happens after an iOS update, but I did not recently update. I am using 7.1.1, which I have been using for a little over a month. Why my phone randomly went into recovery mode either last night (All I did was restart my phone yesterday because twitter wasn't working, and it wouldn't let me turn it back on). Also, my iMessage isn't working, even though I have it enabled. I have to send everything as a text message. My phone just lost 7% sitting idle while I typed this.

I have gone through my emails, there were MANY!!! deleted all unnecessary sent, received, trash etc....the last time my phone back up was may 24th. Mar 31, 2012I have been trying to restore my iPhone 4S over iCloud since yesterday. Invariably, it will fail with the message that the iPhone is no longer connected to the internet. The wifi over which my iPhone is connected is also being used by four other computers that have no problems maintaining their connection with the internet. Currently, the estimated time remaining for the restore is 11 hours. It has come down from 52 hours. This over a broadband connection of 120Mb/sec down and 9 Mb/sec up. The size of the backup on iCloud from which I am trying to restore my iPhone is 8GB.
