IPhone 5c :: How To Clear Recents From Phone
Dec 1, 2014I have iOS 8.1.1. on my iphone 5C. When I double-click on the home button, a list of recent contacts--from phone, message, facetime--shows up at the top. While that's a "nice to have," I might not want to see that--nor have an e-trail for snooping others to peruse. The problem is, while I can clear recents in the apps, the list still persists when I double-click the home button. How do I clear this or submit a request to add a clearing feature to the settings?

Mar 30, 2012Why does MobileMail start, and continue to run in the background causing battery drain (I have verified this as the cause after testing with repeatable results) until I force it to quit by starting Mail, then exiting Mail? Having to do that all the time is a nuisance.

Aug 30, 2015For about two months now I've had an app stuck in recents, and no matter what I do it won't go away. It's basically a website I opened from a google search. I've deleted and reinstalled Google Now, the phone has been upgraded from 5.1 to 5.1.1 in between, restarting, nothing seems to do the trick. I've been googling the problem without success so far.

So, I have done this in the past, kitkat , jb etc, but not in lollipop or marshmallow.... I've decompiled the systemUI.apk and I don't see any way to do it. I really want to do this !!

Sep 19, 2011I bought X2-01 Almost in less then a month. I liked it and using it well no problem. But I don't know I am unable to use camera since 2 days, Blue, black, white, red lines are coming infront of it. When I start cam it happens automatically. It becomes better when I set camera of x2 to some light etc., but still unable to see from the camera. No night mode etc., even used in day time.

Xperia Z3 :: Black Blue Colored Screen And Cannot Factory Reset
Mar 10, 2015While playing a game on my phone yesterday the screen flashed/blinked for a moment, then turned and remained a blackish blue color. While in this state nothing on the phone was functional, I could hold the power button until I was blue in the face and it wouldn't power off the device. At this point I opened the cover for the micro SD card and SIM card and pressed the yellow power off button.
After holding down the yellow off button for several seconds and feeling the three vibrations I set the phone down and left it for 5 minutes. When I powered device backup it had the same black blue screen. I repeated these steps several times all with the same outcome. At this point I'm pretty frustrated and attempted to boot into recovery to no avail, finally deciding to simply do a factory reset which didn't work either.
Google Nexus 5 :: Why Won't Phone Boot Past Colored Symbols
Oct 16, 2015I have had my fantastic Nexus 5 for some time now, and up until the Android 6 update I have had no crash issues at all. It may be coincidence, but since the update a couple days ago my phone has crashed three times, and with the last crash it will not boot past the colored symbols. In fact it will cycle the symbols without end at times, but sometimes it will cycle them for 30 seconds or so and then crash back to the black screen then to "Google" followed by the colored symbol screen. Rinse and repeat.
I have tried full shut off and re-start by holding down the power button and that does nothing new. I read on these forums a suggestion for a Nexus 4 user back in July to try holding down the power button and tapping the up volume once to pull up some options, but that seems to do nothing. Perhaps I am doing it at the wrong time though.
I read that Marshmallow handles permissions differently, so I wonder if it has to do with my third-party launcher. Though it seems strange that I was able to (until today) use my phone just fine between crashes for several days after the update.

Sep 28, 2014Yesterday I did the most recent developers update on my ATT Nokia Lumia 1020. I have had absolutely zero problems with the phone at all since day one. Today while checking emails my phone screen flickered and then went to something that appears to be the "snow" that you see on televisions when they had no signal. In the "snow" there are 4 lighter bars and 4 darker ones running vertically.
I also am unable to do a hard reset or soft reset.
I found others who have the same screen issue, but they have been able to fix it with either a soft or hard reset. I unfortunately cannot do that, as the buttons seem to have also become unresponsive. After about 2 minutes the screen will go black, and then after about 2 seconds come back on by itself with the same issue present.

Jun 29, 2010I have a BlackBerry Tour 9630, virtually brand new. I recieved my current phone barely two weeks ago from an insurance claim as my previous phone was stolen.
I was just headed to bed, I checked my phone a final time and had no issued. I always charge my phone on my nightstand next to my bed while I sleep. The instant I plugged the USB end of the power chord into the phone the screen went haywire. The screen is now saturated with a random pattern of colored lines. I cannot see or do anything. I tried battery out restarts and it did nothing. My phone has never been wet, never fallen or had any impacts, and is always in a silicone case. Again, this phone is basically brand new and the problem started the instant I began charging it tonight!What the heck happened and how the heck do I fix it!?
Google Nexus 5 :: Unable To Boot - Stuck At Colored Dots Loading Screen Then Shut Off
Sep 18, 2015After fully charging the phone yesterday, when I went out to get food, my phone shut down along the way and being unable to boot. My phone is running on stock 5.0 with no mods
At first, I was able to get to the colored dots loading screen but it would always get stuck there and shut off. Then I keep trying to restart it up and it got worse and worse, now I'm always stuck at the GOOGLE screen. I'm not sure if this is a boot loop issue as it just gets stuck at GOOGLE screen. I tried the recovery mode cache wipe and it gets stuck at the GOOGLE screen in the middle of the wipe.
So this morning, after fiddling around the power buttons some more, I am able to get the battery logo while charging, though it is weird that it shows 100% then completely drained the next minute or so. I try to load into the recovery mode again and this is what I see at the bottom
