I was able pre order the 32gb black via the apple store for $299. They asked for my cell number as well as the last four of my ss. I received a email confermation that it has been reserved this am. However when i checked my account on ATT i noticed im not eligible for a upgrade until 4/11. What price will i be charged when i go pick up the phone 6/24?
I've ordered 2 iphones (32gb black) off of the apple site UK today, and 5 hours later still haven't received a confirmation email even though I got through to the "we will send a confirmation email shortly" screen after the verifying debit card details.
Sorry if this has already been addressed, but will AT&T soon allow those who bought a 3GS in Jan./Feb. to upgrade for $199? OR will I have to wait until the date it says (2/14/11)? Any way of finding out?I'm on a family plan for 2. Bill is around $160 each month.
I have a water-damaged iPhone 3G S and since Apple switched their policy for liquid-damaged iPhone's, it says I can replace my iPhone for the Out-Of-Warranty price for $199. I did not purchase an AppleCare Protection Plan and was wondering if I am eligible for the Out-Of-Warranty price. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The site went down on attt and I got a message: You can take advantage of our no-commitment pricing option, with the exception of iPhone which requires a 2-year commitment. Additional discounts may be available on 03/19/2011. This is bull crap! Check your upgrade options. I was eligible now and now i am not.
I need help, I talk to an AT&T store rep and they were useless. I also plan on upgrading tomorrow, but if I can't upgrade then gonna have to find an extra 200$.
I preorderd through AT&T Premier on the 15th, and everything seems fine with my order. It's showing up on all sites, money was authorized, got confirmation emails, so I'm assuming all is good. The only weird thing is when I check my upgrade options, it still says I'm eligible to buy the iPhone for the $199/$299 price, which is awesome, I guess! I looked it up on the apple website, and used *639#. Will my new contract start when I activate the phone, or will I be able to possibly buy a second one and sell it for a nice profit? Anyone else have this happen?
I have just switched from BlackBerry. 3 fundamental issues so far are lack of confirmation of sent SMS, battery life is very concerning and what is the purpose of a directional GPS which does not have a voice function?
Excuse me for asking this question that may have been answered in another thread.I run a website of my own with a lot of Mac owners. We talk about iPhones as all of you do here. We are just much, much smaller. It seems that many people who bought the 3GS when it went on sale in June of last year are eligible for the discount upgrade. Then there are others, like myself, who are not. I am eligible in February 2011. Has anyone figured out why that is? Now, mind you, I am certain of the fact that quite a few of our forum members bought a 3GS last June and entered a 2-year contract. We are assuming perhaps it has something to do with how much money you spend each month with AT&T. It is being suggested that if you have a lot of service with AT&T and pay a hefty bill each month they will automatically grant you the upgrade pricing.
When the iPhone 4 was released I had 2 of my 3 lines eligible for full or partial upgrades. One a full subsidy, the other a half subsidy and the other nothing. Both upgrades were used on the 4's release but as of yesterday I noticed my line that wasn't eligible till February of 2011 now has a full upgrade. This would have been helpful 2 weeks ago because I wouldn't have used the early upgrade and paid more.Anyone else have their upgrade date move that didn't fall within 2010 grace period set by AT&T?
iTunes keeps saying iPhone not eligible for the requested build after downloading the update directly through itunes with the lateset version of itunes.
at&t don't want unlock my iphone 4 off contract because says that at&t non-custmers are not eligible to receive the unlock.Logic, if I request the unlock is because i want use my device with other company: I'm from Italy. My iphone is off contract, I bought it in United States, how can I do for unlock it?
Is there any way to set up the native email client on iPhone to ask "Are you sure" before sending an email? I have sent three emails accidentally by touching the "send" button before I'm done typing.I know that there is a way to confirm deleting an email (I've done that accidentally too. I know: *spaz*). Is there anyway to set up the same for sending mail?
Or those who made reservations, called the store, and was told that they weren't in the system. In my case, I received an confirmation email. So I plan to arrive around 5AM at the Apple store and stand in the reserve line with my printed confirmation email. What happens when we get in, they see we don't have a reservation in the system? What are the chances they'll give us a phone seeing that we have the confirmation email? I talked to a rep at my Apple store, he said I should be fine as long as I bring a printed email.
I got through a few hours ago on Apple.com and I got a confirmation e-mail, but is there anywhere on Apple's site where you should be able to confirm that they do in fact have the reservation stored?
I reseved my iPhone over 24hrs ago and no confirmation email. Is there any way to look it up to see if my reservation went through. When I did it, it gave me the same information as everyone else who placed and told me what to bring, but no confirmation email.
I'm eligible for the $299 price on the iPhone 4 32GB but when I reserved my phone at the Apple store, it shows the reservation for $699. Anyone else have the same issue and when I go to pick it up how much are they going to want to charge me?
I keep getting error stating device isn't eligible for the requested build. I have completed all troubleshooting I could find. Went through host files, have no 3rd party security software, restarted, software, ios and itunes are all up to date.
So after 6 hours, I finally was able to finish up my order and get a confirmation. However, when looking at the screen I noticed that it says "No Voice Plan". Anyone else have the same issue?

Starting tonight (4/28/12) attempts to download an app (free app) result in requests for "confirmation questions and answers" but these questions are not asked when obtaining the same app using iTunes on a PC.This occurs after the password is requested and entered, but it really smells like phishing, especially since the same is not asked within iTunes on the PC for the same account.I tested with attempts to download other apps and the same thing happens after the password is requested.this is a new and valid requirement, there needs to be an option to meet the requirement on a PC in iTunes because of the difficulty that some of us have inputing info on a iPhone or iTouch.
I bought second hand IPhone 4 ..when I want to make new account on ICloud it say (this device is no longer eligible for creating a free iCloud account... in addition I have no contact with seller..what should I do to get iCloud account.
http://www.facebook.com/ATT?v=app_10442206389 Wow, they claim they have measures set in place so that affected customers continue to have normal 3G uplink speeds. This is just pathetic. AT&T is such a failing miserable company. Yes, I will leave them on ETF when there is word of a Verizon iPhone. When was sub 100kbps "NORMAL" for any 3G upload speeds?
I feel this was a hoax. I purchased the phone under the impression I would received 100 rebate/store credit and received nothing. Did anyone get there $100 rebate/credit from nokia or ATT?
I've ha this phone for 4 months now and it is starting to present some unusual things:
1. Whenever I open an app after sometime, the phone woul make like a brief restart. A spiral appears on the screen, after that to the lock screen.
2. To resolve the problem just stated, I tried to restore the phone. iOS 5.1.1 is already out so I tried to restore and update. The following message appears in the screen: "This device is not eligible requested build....." I don't know what thhat means, my iphone is no modified or jailbroken.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1, I did the update on iphone
I updated my 2-week-old LG G3 to Lollipop this morning. Working great, except they doubled up on an annoying feature from KitKat.
With my first Android phone, I could press once on a Call Forwarding quickdial shortcut, and the phone would immediately dial, forward calls, and disconnect. (The quickdial shortcut calls (*722065551212) ). KitKat saw fit to add a popup confirmation window:
Call forwarding (*72) All incoming calls will be forwarded to 206-555-1212 Dial *73 to turn off Call Forwarding (Cancel) (Forward calls)
I disliked this popup as soon as I saw it. Sadly, when I run call forwarding under Lollipop, the popup appears, I press (Forward calls), the popup closes, then appears again. After the second press of (Forward calls), the call is completed and calls are forwarded.
Is there a setting to return to the pre-KitKat behavior? Or even the KitKat behavior, with a single popup?
I looked at the app store, and tried several free call forwarding apps. They all send the same signal to the phone's dialer, resulting in the same double popup.
