IPhone :: Randomly Eligible For A Full Upgrade (AT&T)

When the iPhone 4 was released I had 2 of my 3 lines eligible for full or partial upgrades. One a full subsidy, the other a half subsidy and the other nothing. Both upgrades were used on the 4's release but as of yesterday I noticed my line that wasn't eligible till February of 2011 now has a full upgrade. This would have been helpful 2 weeks ago because I wouldn't have used the early upgrade and paid more.Anyone else have their upgrade date move that didn't fall within 2010 grace period set by AT&T?

I preorderd through AT&T Premier on the 15th, and everything seems fine with my order. It's showing up on all sites, money was authorized, got confirmation emails, so I'm assuming all is good.The only weird thing is when I check my upgrade options, it still says I'm eligible to buy the iPhone for the $199/$299 price, which is awesome, I guess! I looked it up on the apple website, and used *639#. Will my new contract start when I activate the phone, or will I be able to possibly buy a second one and sell it for a nice profit? Anyone else have this happen?

Excuse me for asking this question that may have been answered in another thread.I run a website of my own with a lot of Mac owners. We talk about iPhones as all of you do here. We are just much, much smaller.
It seems that many people who bought the 3GS when it went on sale in June of last year are eligible for the discount upgrade. Then there are others, like myself, who are not. I am eligible in February 2011. Has anyone figured out why that is? Now, mind you, I am certain of the fact that quite a few of our forum members bought a 3GS last June and entered a 2-year contract. We are assuming perhaps it has something to do with how much money you spend each month with AT&T. It is being suggested that if you have a lot of service with AT&T and pay a hefty bill each month they will automatically grant you the upgrade pricing.

I upgraded to the latest iOS, my phone started shutting off with 60% of battery remaining, and will not successfully boot up unless I plug it in. When I plug it in, the battery shows 60% or so remaining. I charge it fully, and situation repeats. If I'm using power hungry apps, I'm good for about twenty minutes. In stand-by mode, I'm good for about six hours before it goes dead.
I recharge fully every night. I tried restoring the software. No effect.

I upgraded to iOS 5.1.1 last week this has been the only changes on my iPhone 4 other then normal app updates. Last light I pluged in my device for charge as is normal. Today I woke up and the device indicated that it didn't charge and is showing that I have about 35% of the charge remanding. Pluged in the device to another charger / cord and while the battery charging icon shows that it was charging but after 2hrs I still only had 35%.

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but will AT&T soon allow those who bought a 3GS in Jan./Feb. to upgrade for $199? OR will I have to wait until the date it says (2/14/11)? Any way of finding out?I'm on a family plan for 2. Bill is around $160 each month.

I have a water-damaged iPhone 3G S and since Apple switched their policy for liquid-damaged iPhone's, it says I can replace my iPhone for the Out-Of-Warranty price for $199. I did not purchase an AppleCare Protection Plan and was wondering if I am eligible for the Out-Of-Warranty price. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The site went down on attt and I got a message: You can take advantage of our no-commitment pricing option, with the exception of iPhone which requires a 2-year commitment. Additional discounts may be available on 03/19/2011. This is bull crap! Check your upgrade options. I was eligible now and now i am not.

I was able pre order the 32gb black via the apple store for $299. They asked for my cell number as well as the last four of my ss. I received a email confermation that it has been reserved this am. Below is a relisting of a current problem I have not managed to fix.I have the latest firmware installed on my N97, but after the latest upgrade (clean install was done, mass mem refromatted, hard reset, etc') On checking over the phone I started getting messages that the Mass mem' was full (Not so) I eventually traced it to my 8 gig mem' card, (is coming up with the message that the memory card is corrupt, I have now tried 3 different mem' cards) cos after this was removed the phone worked perfectly again, I tried reformatting the card via the pc , same problem when the card was put back in, tried a brand new card , same problem, lastly tried a known working 4 gig mem' card, same problem?

After last system upgrade, my xperia ray's video camera is not working properly. It now records in 16/9 instead of 4/3 (Letter box) and I would be glad it would work fine but since then, videos are not recorded correctly. Image is not continuous, but it shifts randomly as it wouldn't be able to record without stopping. That gives poorer videos than with previous version. Other problem I have is that welcoming message is displayed twice when phone is starting.

I've ha this phone for 4 months now and it is starting to present some unusual things:
1. Whenever I open an app after sometime, the phone woul make like a brief restart. A spiral appears on the screen, after that to the lock screen.
2. To resolve the problem just stated, I tried to restore the phone. iOS 5.1.1 is already out so I tried to restore and update. The following message appears in the screen: "This device is not eligible requested build....." I don't know what thhat means, my iphone is no modified or jailbroken.

i am trying to jailbreak my 3gs that i just bought. it has version 3.0.1 and i am following iclarified's guide here
I have downloaded the 3.0.1 to use in step 2 and i keep getting the error message that says "this device isn't eligible for the requested build" does anyone have any ideas how load the 3.0.1 firmware on there without this error message? i have a 3gs, i downloaded the firmware straight from the link on that page, and i have tried restarting my computer. any other suggestions?

i have a blackberry bold 9700 v 5.0.0.862 ( bundle 1446, platform 5.1.0.175 I fully charged my battery monday night, unplugged it before going to sleep.When i woke up the phone was turned off, when i turned on i got a white screen with a battery with a red line through it but no blackberry loading screen.I didn't know what was wrong so i plugged phone in to charge a bit. when there was no change i unplugged it and held the power button. After many many many attempts to turn it back on finally i got the BB loading screen.The battery had full power when I finally got it turned back on.I used the phone throughout the day but come suppertime the battery was still full so i went to a friends. Halfway through dinner the phone displayed " BATTERY DRAINED TURNING OFF HANDHELD " .
Got home plugged in, turned back on and battery was 50%. I charged it to 100% and unplugged it before going to sleep. Woke up this morning to ringing phone i answered it had the chance to say hello then it displayed " BATTERY DRAINED TURNING OFF HANDHELD " !!! Went to turn back on got the battery screen again , finally after an hour or more of trying to turn back on it finally loaded and guess what?? THE BATTERY IS SITTING AT 100%!!I don't know what's going on but my phone keeps saying the battery is drained and the phone turns off but the battery is still full.

Can I use someone else's upgrade? Yes, this is called an "upgrade swap". AT&T will allow you to upgrade any line to receive a new phone. You can then activate that phone on any phone line you like. Apple is able to do this in store also, but it requires a bit more time since they have to call AT&T first. If you pre-order and recieve the phone by mail, you will need to contact AT&T to let them know that you will be activating the phone on another line."
My current situation:
I am on a family plan with a total of two lines. My line is not eligible until 7/23, so all I can get is "early upgrade pricing". My mom's line is currently eligible for "full upgrade pricing". I am planning on using my mom's upgrade to get an iPhone 4. I want to preorder the phone from Apple.com on the 15th, and hopefully receive it the afternoon of the 24th. From my understanding, the microSIM that ships with the phone will be programmed for the line whose upgrade was used. However, the iPhone Upgrade Guide makes it sound like I can call AT&T once I receive the phone (and before I activate it), and have AT&T switch the microSIM from my mom's line to mine. Is this possible?
