I have just switched from BlackBerry. 3 fundamental issues so far are lack of confirmation of sent SMS, battery life is very concerning and what is the purpose of a directional GPS which does not have a voice function?
Is there any way to set up the native email client on iPhone to ask "Are you sure" before sending an email? I have sent three emails accidentally by touching the "send" button before I'm done typing.I know that there is a way to confirm deleting an email (I've done that accidentally too. I know: *spaz*). Is there anyway to set up the same for sending mail?
I've ordered 2 iphones (32gb black) off of the apple site UK today, and 5 hours later still haven't received a confirmation email even though I got through to the "we will send a confirmation email shortly" screen after the verifying debit card details.
I was able pre order the 32gb black via the apple store for $299. They asked for my cell number as well as the last four of my ss. I received a email confermation that it has been reserved this am. However when i checked my account on ATT i noticed im not eligible for a upgrade until 4/11. What price will i be charged when i go pick up the phone 6/24?
Or those who made reservations, called the store, and was told that they weren't in the system. In my case, I received an confirmation email. So I plan to arrive around 5AM at the Apple store and stand in the reserve line with my printed confirmation email. What happens when we get in, they see we don't have a reservation in the system? What are the chances they'll give us a phone seeing that we have the confirmation email? I talked to a rep at my Apple store, he said I should be fine as long as I bring a printed email.
I got through a few hours ago on Apple.com and I got a confirmation e-mail, but is there anywhere on Apple's site where you should be able to confirm that they do in fact have the reservation stored?
I reseved my iPhone over 24hrs ago and no confirmation email. Is there any way to look it up to see if my reservation went through. When I did it, it gave me the same information as everyone else who placed and told me what to bring, but no confirmation email.
So after 6 hours, I finally was able to finish up my order and get a confirmation. However, when looking at the screen I noticed that it says "No Voice Plan". Anyone else have the same issue?

Starting tonight (4/28/12) attempts to download an app (free app) result in requests for "confirmation questions and answers" but these questions are not asked when obtaining the same app using iTunes on a PC.This occurs after the password is requested and entered, but it really smells like phishing, especially since the same is not asked within iTunes on the PC for the same account.I tested with attempts to download other apps and the same thing happens after the password is requested.this is a new and valid requirement, there needs to be an option to meet the requirement on a PC in iTunes because of the difficulty that some of us have inputing info on a iPhone or iTouch.
http://www.facebook.com/ATT?v=app_10442206389 Wow, they claim they have measures set in place so that affected customers continue to have normal 3G uplink speeds. This is just pathetic. AT&T is such a failing miserable company. Yes, I will leave them on ETF when there is word of a Verizon iPhone. When was sub 100kbps "NORMAL" for any 3G upload speeds?
I updated my 2-week-old LG G3 to Lollipop this morning. Working great, except they doubled up on an annoying feature from KitKat.
With my first Android phone, I could press once on a Call Forwarding quickdial shortcut, and the phone would immediately dial, forward calls, and disconnect. (The quickdial shortcut calls (*722065551212) ). KitKat saw fit to add a popup confirmation window:
Call forwarding (*72) All incoming calls will be forwarded to 206-555-1212 Dial *73 to turn off Call Forwarding (Cancel) (Forward calls)
I disliked this popup as soon as I saw it. Sadly, when I run call forwarding under Lollipop, the popup appears, I press (Forward calls), the popup closes, then appears again. After the second press of (Forward calls), the call is completed and calls are forwarded.
Is there a setting to return to the pre-KitKat behavior? Or even the KitKat behavior, with a single popup?
I looked at the app store, and tried several free call forwarding apps. They all send the same signal to the phone's dialer, resulting in the same double popup.
I have been following this community since I bought my Triumph 2+ months ago. I am generally happy with the phone, although I am annoyed by the intermittent lack of responsiveness from the touchscreen and the GPS issues. I cannot believe that there are actually Motorola and VM employees who are saying that they are not aware of any issues with the phone - and they say this in the context of forums like this that are FULL of people reporting issues with the phone. I am extremely disappointed with both companies for refusing to either acknowledge that they are working on a fix (or Gingerbread upgrade) or announce that there will be no fix/upgrade. Matt, the Forums Manager, posted the following on the Droid Bionic forum yesterday:
"I know everyone is eager for updated software. We have been working diligently on a software update for DROID BIONIC and have a version in the testing stage; we expect to deliver it to users in 30 to 60 days. The update is targeting issues identified through owner feedback and we're confident it will improve device performance."
Why can't we get an answer one way or the other as to whether there will be a fix or an upgrade for the Triumph? I think a lot of us would be happy with a simple acknowledgement that it is coming, even if the timeframe is still unknown. If it has been decided that there will be no fix or upgrade, then we would like to know that. Triumph users are entitled to the same treatment as the Droid Bionic users, and we have been waiting longer.
I've been in contact with Verizon Wireless about recent troubles I've had with my BlackBerry delayed emails, problems with Internet connections and Internet-related apps.Verizon is pointing the finger at RIM, saying they're having server problems. The general line to RIM says no such thing. And, of course, it's impossible to get a person on the phone without forking over $50-- which I refuse to pay if all they're going to tell me is there is some general problem.outside of the Verizon network? I'm trying to get to the bottom of this, and want to know if it's only Verizon customers. If it is RIM, how do I get confirmation so I can stop railing against Verizon? Verizon has no backup beyond their word to prove the problem is on RIM's side.
I was just plug the usb cable to my N8 just to charge it to my computer as i always do every day cause battery sucksafter an hour my friend call me to my other phone and he tell me that my N8 is out of reach or it is turned off.So, immediatly, i went to my room, check my N8 screen and i saw a message to ask for my PIN.after inserting the PIN, phone ask for my security number (???) and.... **bleep**?welcome to Symbian Belle!who do this? without user confirmation? why? This is Illegal and it called Piracy!my conatcs and photos where there by all my apps, wifi settings etc where lost.
Just upgraded to .656 and now I don't get confirmation of text messages being delivered. I've set and saved the settings to ON, but its flicking back to OFF.Is anyone else having this issue? I'm going to roll back to my previous OS as it worked fine on there..
I just registered my brand new DROID4, and I'm excited to take part of the Motorola Feedback Network. I did register, opt-in, and I didn't receive any email confirmation like I had previously with my DROID3.Also, I noticed on my Profile, that it had added an extra '6' to my serial number, which I thought was odd, so I modded my profile to have the correct serial number (HEX). Not sure if that's a bug or if anyone else has noticed that. I had double checked my input *TWICE* before submitting it, so it wasn't a typo.
With ICS for the D4 getting closer, I wanted to take part in the soak test, but I'm not sure how I can verify that my phone has properly been registered so I can take part in it. With the (2) "leaks" floating around the net, I figured Moto must be getting close to releasing the soak test,I have a Car Dock, and the 'Universal' HD Dock. I also use the Motorola Car Finder (which is a bit buggy, but incredibly useful app) I can provide good feedback, and I look forward to ICS. I was actually running it on my D3 for a while, and can say that ICS is awesome
ordered an iphone 4s yesterday, but i've still got no confirmation mail. is it because it's weekend? i admit i'm starting to get a bit nervous, because when checking my order list there are no orders on my user neither. though, i signed up when completing the order of the phone. did it take a while before you got the confirmation mail or did I really mess this up?
I have my Confirm Delete disabled in my email general settings and my email reconciliation settings for all my accounts set to delete emails on the device. Starting today, when I select more than one email, text, etc. to delete, it pops up the delete confirmation prompt. I pulled the battery and tried again. Still, the confirmation dialog pops up.If I delete individual messages, there is no dialog.
I downloaded Adobe Flash and Adobe Air from Market. When I went to the Application Tray Icon on my home screen and opened it, there was NO Icon for either Adobe Flash, or Adobe Air, there was however on the first page a icon for "Flash Settings"
When I went to Manage Apps/Applications from Settings...., Both the Proper Icons for Air and Flash were showing.... Is this proper or should I also be seeing a Icon for them both in the Applications Tray as well-?
My camera will not function when I want to use it on my iPhone 5. Both the back and front facing camera will not work. I tried everything with hard reset, reset settings, restored phone…everything that I could think of.
I downloaded the new OS4 this morning and was listening to music fine on my way to work. I bought a song on itunes and now for some reason the ipod function keeps crashing? Apps etc all work fine but when i try to listen to music, nothing happens and it reverts itself back to the front screen.Any help would be appreciated.
If I go to use any video play on the phone it starts and then stops afer a couple of seconds. However, if I connect the USB cable to it, it seems to work fine. Have tried the home button / on off button procedure to no avail. I then backed up my phone's contents on I Tunes via my pc and then implemented a full contents clearance and system restore on the phone itself but still the problem persists.
