Apr 10, 2012I recently upgraded my iphone 3GS to the IOS 5.1 however i have noticed that now i am unable to use the camera whilst my phone is locked.
I can use the button but the screen kind of jumps up, like when you double click the home button, to reveal the bottom part of the camera, the shutter and camera/video camera slide, but then the locked page comes back down to hide the camera. Also the function button isnt properly formed, i have the camera but instead of being in a box just the top and bottom lines are shown.

The track pad on the screen shows only the + sign on top of the tracking pad but the - sign has disappeared, in the panel it shows zoom at 1.0x. I have pressed the accessory bottom and the function for zoom in and out have disappeared as well. The letter commands on the key board for zooming in and out don't work either. Jun 25, 2010I have a Curve 8520 that's brand new. However, I notice when I zoom the camera and take a picture, the camera doesn't actually zoom in. All it does is resize the image so that it gets smaller the more it says the zoom number. For example, If I take a picture at 1x zoom, it will be 1024x768 pixels on my computer screen. However, if I zoom in 3x, it makes the picture much smaller (like 600x800) and more focused (and pixelated) on the center of the subject of the picture.
So that on the tiny Blackberry screen, the picture appears bigger when resized down a lot. When has digital zoom meant resizing the image to fool the user into thinking that it is zoomed only when viewing it on the blackberry screen? When I zoom in, it should keep the picture the same size! What a gip for a relatively high quality phone camera too.

Aug 15, 2010Welp got the torch and love it, was using a captivate and an aria for about 3 weeks, neat toys but sucked as phones so back to bb I went.My convience key will let me program it for any other function other than the camera, it will work the first time after resetting it to the camera option, but won't work the shutter. After closing it out and pressing the button again from the home screen or any other I get nothing?

Went through all the options, did a reboot, removed the battery etc - same result. The trackpad works on the bottom menu items, but it used to be that I could use it to focus in and out (up and down).
