I can't Zoom when using trackpad and also Volume up/down, Buttom 3 and 9 also cannot.I am able to ZOOM when I first bought it but then after that I can zoom 1x 2x anymore after 1 month of using.Can someone advise how can I set back the ZOOm function.I tried all OPTIONs field and still cannot.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I switch on the camera application the track pad doesn't zoom anymore like it used to. The track pad on the screen shows only the + sign on top of the tracking pad but the - sign has disappeared, in the panel it shows zoom at 1.0x. I have pressed the accessory bottom and the function for zoom in and out have disappeared as well. The letter commands on the key board for zooming in and out don't work either. I would appreciate any assistance I can get.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520 that's brand new. However, I notice when I zoom the camera and take a picture, the camera doesn't actually zoom in. All it does is resize the image so that it gets smaller the more it says the zoom number. For example, If I take a picture at 1x zoom, it will be 1024x768 pixels on my computer screen. However, if I zoom in 3x, it makes the picture much smaller (like 600x800) and more focused (and pixelated) on the center of the subject of the picture.
So that on the tiny Blackberry screen, the picture appears bigger when resized down a lot. When has digital zoom meant resizing the image to fool the user into thinking that it is zoomed only when viewing it on the blackberry screen? When I zoom in, it should keep the picture the same size! What a gip for a relatively high quality phone camera too.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just noticed after only a week of having 9700, that I have a very thin surface scratch on my track pad. It's not something that you can even really see unless you move it back and forth under a light (and I'm not that vain) but it got me wondering about the possibility of deeper scratches possibly affecting the function of the track pad?? I have babied this thing for the last week, and still got a fine surface scratch, so more heavy usage could possibly result in deeper scratches down the road. Although a very fine surface scratch might not affect the function, could a deeper one affect it?? And if that happens, how easily can the track pad be changed out by a local technician (or yourself)?

The camera was being a little funny and won't zoom so I switched off my phone and took out the battery and replaced it to try and reboot the phone. Now it won't turn on!When the battery is in the Red LED light at the top right corner lights up then goes off when the Phone starts up showing the BLACKBERRY Logo on the screen with the Loading Bar underneath. The bar then shows that it is loading but almost immediately it crashes and switches off. It does this repeatedly though I've tried removing and replacing the battery several times.I'm sure it is not a problem with the battery as I had only charged it the previous night and even tried using another battery from my friends Blackberry just to double check but the phone continues to repeatedly turn on, crash, turn off.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since I updated the softward on my device (about a week ago) my lock function doesn't work. I have set all the same securities as before (Options/Password/Enable) however when I push the "Lock" button on the top of the device it only locks they keypad. If I push it again it simply unlocks the device, it does not prompt for a password. I have to wait for the device to reach it's security time out before there is a password prompt to unlock.

I can use the button but the screen kind of jumps up, like when you double click the home button, to reveal the bottom part of the camera, the shutter and camera/video camera slide, but then the locked page comes back down to hide the camera. Also the function button isnt properly formed, i have the camera but instead of being in a box just the top and bottom lines are shown.

I just noticed today that the trackpad on my phone has become super sensitive, but not for scrolling, only when pressing down to open apps. It's weird. It seems like it's sunken down and not level with the other buttons anymore and actually tilts down towards the keyboard. I've only had this phone for about a month and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if it is truly a faulty trackpad. If so then its back to AT&T for a replacement!

Went through all the options, did a reboot, removed the battery etc - same result. The trackpad works on the bottom menu items, but it used to be that I could use it to focus in and out (up and down).
