I downloaded the new OS4 this morning and was listening to music fine on my way to work. I bought a song on itunes and now for some reason the ipod function keeps crashing? Apps etc all work fine but when i try to listen to music, nothing happens and it reverts itself back to the front screen.Any help would be appreciated.

Its infuriating, I just get to the end of typing a message and it just goes off and back to the "home" screen. When I go back in to the text that I typed has gone!!! If I am googling or on Facebook it does the same thing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince I replaced my Iphone 4S - 64 GB for a new one due to broken screen, my Iphone has been crashing with the use of any app, e-mail, and anything else. I spent most of the last weekend doing what Apple asked me to do. Soft reset, hard reset, restore to factory settings, open it in security/recovery mode, and anything else. After all this, I still can not read e-mail, or check facebook, or add new contact, play music over bluetooth, or any other function on Iphone other than place calls.

Since a few weeks my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1 and now 5.1) keeps crashing. First it were paniclogs after that memory leaks and now reset counter.What I see is a screen that gets a color (red,blue,...) and reboots.I did a new instal already twice and I deleted all apps I bought after the first crash occurred.

This is very annoying. Since 5.1 upgrade, my iPhone 4 shows slowness and it's crashing several time / day. When an app is open, after a couple of minutes, the screen becomes black with a little white spin wheel that stops spinning after a couple of tours then the iPhone freeze.
If I let it like that, It takes about five to ten minutes to come back to the login screen. There's still about 5GB free for 16GB capacity.
Even now, I'm taping this note and the iPhone is so slow, letters appears seconds after as a bunch. I'm not sure, but it look like apps related to network activities seems to crash more often.

I recently upgraded my Iphone 3GS 16GB to the new 5.1 software. What a mistake. I have had it crash countless times on me.
I have updated itunes on my computer and all my apps are up to date. If I go to start up any app it just goes, even the apple apps. I have now restored the phone twice and its still crashing..

My iPhone 4 keeps crashing and restarting and AppleCare is unable to duplicate the issue or resolved the issue.
Recently my iphone randomly started crashing or it would freeze then i have to restart using power and home button, These are few things that I have already tried to resolve the issue:
1: Restore to factory settings and start over from scratch.
2. Deleted recently updated apps to see which one could be causing the issue, but the issue is still there.
3. Re-downloaded ios 5.1 and did a fresh restore.
After doing all this I called Applecare and they suggested to send in my phone and they will replace it and send me a new one since Im still having the issue after doing all of the above. Today I recieved my phone back from Applecare stating that the issue was resolved or not duplicated. So I did a restore once again and from one of the saved files that I had setup as a new phone. In the last 6 hours my phone has froze once, and crashed twice. I called Applecare again and he suggested to send the iphone in again and he will put in the notes to give it max time to detect the issue.

My iPhone 3g has been constantly crashing and I know they're kernel panics, but nothing will fix it. I recently removed the jailbreak and completely restored it. I've tried restoring it as a new phone and backing it up and I've even removed all my apps and cleared it. For the past 5 days my iPhone continuously keeps crashing. I had to do a hard reset then do a total restore. The first time it did it after I restored it, it was fine overnight then the following morning it crashed again. Once again needed to do a total restore, this time I set it up as a new iPhone and did not sync all my music, photo's and apps. It lasted about an hour before it crashed AGAIN. Then it would not restore it would get through to the "waiting for iPhone"but the iPhone would not respond. Eventually this morning I finally restored it and once again didn't sync anything. Its working now but I don't know for how long. I HAVE NOT JAILL BROKE it before anyone asks. I believe you know when you buy a iPhone that they have some limits on what you can do. I have tried a hard reset (with no improvement) and have backed up my phone today in preparation for restoring the phone. My plan was to do a factory reset and then restore from my backup. However, I am wondering if I restore from my backup, whether it might restore the problem causing the crashes.

I want to lock the iPod app to prevent it from playing. I have earphones with remote connected to the phone all the time. The remote on the earphones keep turning on the iPod app and plays the music while in my pocket. I want to lock it so it won't play.

I had an iPhone 3GS that was no longer under contract. Yesterday, I bought an iPhone 4S from Verizon and switched my phone number from the 3GS to the 4S. After transferring all of my apps and other data to the new 4S phone, I reset the 3GS to the original factory settings and gave it to my mother, to use as an iPod touch. It works fine. She can connect to wifi, check email, sync with iTunes, download apps under her iTunes account, etc. The phone has never been "jailbroken" or had SIM cards swapped out, or anything similar. It still has the original SIM card that that I bought the phone with, in August 2009.
Now that the 3GS is working as an iPod Touch, do I need to remove the SIM card? Should I? My concern is that AT&T will hit me with some nefarious fee at some point in the future for reasons that I don't understand. Should this be a concern?

It's basically a paperweight. I fell asleep one night and it was working fine and the next morning it wouldn't even turn on! The screen is off and I can't seem to turn it on. Also, when I plug it into a computer the computer doesn't even realize anything has been connected.
