Since a few weeks my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1 and now 5.1) keeps crashing. First it were paniclogs after that memory leaks and now reset counter.What I see is a screen that gets a color (red,blue,...) and reboots.I did a new instal already twice and I deleted all apps I bought after the first crash occurred.
View 3 RepliesI had my phone jailbroken on 3.1.2 for a while (3G S). I was satisfied with it, although I decided to go clean on 3.1.3 and did a restore. Ever since this time I get constant freeze-ups in the SMS app. A few letters will type, and then it'll freeze up for at least 20+ seconds. I'll type on and it'll slowly add character by character and take minutes. If I add any more characters, it'll do the same; lag and then slowly catch up.
I end up using the power button and then force quitting the app, or just turning off the phone and turning it back on. Within an hour the problem will come back.
I'm on my third FRESH restore to 3.1.3. I have a few apps installed, most settings at default, and my mobileme account setup. That's it. No jailbreak. It occurs every time, after every fresh restore.
I received a text yesterday and ever since I keep getting notifications for the same message (even says it was received yesterday as opposed to a new message). How do I fix this error? Using an iPhone 4s. Its only with this message, everything else is working fine, since I logged in and typed this up, I've had another 3.

anybody ever encounter this annoying issue with ios4 when you keep getting 'call failed' constantly until you either reboot, turn 3g off, turn on and off airplane mode? i am able to receive calls when this happens but its annoying that i have reset everytime when it happens. i notice it happens about the same time after i get off work when i get home. i know i can send and receive text.
it happened to my roommate as well.we are running iphone 3gs under ios4.
How to downgrade a iphone 4s from 5.1 to 5.0.1 on 5.0.1 i had a much better safari connection and my phone didn't just shut off randomly as soon as I updated to 5.1 my phone just restarts, I don't know why and I would like to go back to 5.0.1 My phone has never been jailbroken and I just want the errors to stop I have tried everything from backing it up and restoring to dfu mode restores and nothing fixes the problem.

What is the cause of this...anyone know? Phone was on my desk at work, then just started vibrating constantly, and the screen was black - no buttons responded, including the two obvious ones to soft boot. Plugged in the phone to pc and to A/C and pushed and held buttons, and no response. Then about 3 hours later, pushed and held the two reset buttons, and got the white apple and phone appears to be working again.
Is this some kind of signal the battery is dying? Sure was weird, plus the phone was inoperable for several hours until it decided to play nice again. Is it time for a trade out? It's a 4G about a year old. When it rebooted, it asked me for my FACETIME password, and my IMESSAGE password and I hit CANCEL for both questions. My phone was not inuse when the vibration thing started - very weird.

My iPhone 5 screen has been cracked for a few weeks but worked fine. Yesterday the screen went black but Siri still worked. When I plugged it in to charge, it started beeping as if i were constantly unplugging it then plugging it back in. At first the screen would light up even though it was black but now the screen wont light up at all. I ordered a new screen to replace it but now I am thinking that it is more than the screen. I plugged it in to my computer and it doesn't recognize it at all. Use the same cord to plug it back in to the wall and it starts beeping again.

In central jersey. The 3G data fr few users has been a hit or miss especially in nj at least that's what I been reading on the forum. Anyway my point is if edge is working fine and fast (for edge speeds that is). Then it can't be the antenna. Att must be updating 3G somehow.

I traced this back to my iPhone 4S and through experimentation have diagnosed it as follows: When the iPhone is connected to a mains charger and idle, it generates constant WiFi traffic.If I wake the iPhone it immediately stops sending WiFi traffic - until it goes back to sleep and idles again.Also if I unplug the iPhone from the mains it immediately stops sending WiFi traffic.The iPhone *never* does this when it is disconnected from the mains - only when it is charging. What is going on here? Does the iPhone do something over WiFi when charging and idle? Or is my handset likely to be faulty (I bought it from the Apple store in London about a week ago)?

The phone's volume buttons suddenly stopped working and today the phone is in a constant vibration mode even when not using. This started when a call came and ever since then the phone is constantly vibrating. Can feel the motor running at the back but not sure why it is running in such a hyper mode. I've purchased a iPhone 4S off ebay with the aim of fixing it. It is in great condition inside and out, however won't turn on or boot and there is no display. When plugged into the wall socket it just makes the charging chirp sound over and over again, but that is all. When plugged into a computer it does nothing, no show in iTunes. All the seller was able to say was that he tried to fix the screen and it worked before that, but couldn't get it to work properly after that. Any ideas what could be wrong, what needs to be replaced? If it was just a faulty screen shouldn't the phone still charge and why is it making the constant sound?

My iPhone 3GS keeps chucking me out of everything - apps, web and even typing a text! Its infuriating, I just get to the end of typing a message and it just goes off and back to the "home" screen. When I go back in to the text that I typed has gone!!! If I am googling or on Facebook it does the same thing.

I spent most of the last weekend doing what Apple asked me to do. Soft reset, hard reset, restore to factory settings, open it in security/recovery mode, and anything else. After all this, I still can not read e-mail, or check facebook, or add new contact, play music over bluetooth, or any other function on Iphone other than place calls.

This is very annoying. Since 5.1 upgrade, my iPhone 4 shows slowness and it's crashing several time / day. When an app is open, after a couple of minutes, the screen becomes black with a little white spin wheel that stops spinning after a couple of tours then the iPhone freeze.
If I let it like that, It takes about five to ten minutes to come back to the login screen. There's still about 5GB free for 16GB capacity.
Even now, I'm taping this note and the iPhone is so slow, letters appears seconds after as a bunch. I'm not sure, but it look like apps related to network activities seems to crash more often.

My iPhone 4 keeps crashing and restarting and AppleCare is unable to duplicate the issue or resolved the issue.
Recently my iphone randomly started crashing or it would freeze then i have to restart using power and home button, These are few things that I have already tried to resolve the issue:
1: Restore to factory settings and start over from scratch.
2. Deleted recently updated apps to see which one could be causing the issue, but the issue is still there.
3. Re-downloaded ios 5.1 and did a fresh restore.
After doing all this I called Applecare and they suggested to send in my phone and they will replace it and send me a new one since Im still having the issue after doing all of the above. Today I recieved my phone back from Applecare stating that the issue was resolved or not duplicated. So I did a restore once again and from one of the saved files that I had setup as a new phone. In the last 6 hours my phone has froze once, and crashed twice. I called Applecare again and he suggested to send the iphone in again and he will put in the notes to give it max time to detect the issue.

My iPhone 3g has been constantly crashing and I know they're kernel panics, but nothing will fix it. I recently removed the jailbreak and completely restored it. I've tried restoring it as a new phone and backing it up and I've even removed all my apps and cleared it. For the past 5 days my iPhone continuously keeps crashing. I had to do a hard reset then do a total restore. The first time it did it after I restored it, it was fine overnight then the following morning it crashed again. Once again needed to do a total restore, this time I set it up as a new iPhone and did not sync all my music, photo's and apps. It lasted about an hour before it crashed AGAIN. Then it would not restore it would get through to the "waiting for iPhone"but the iPhone would not respond. Eventually this morning I finally restored it and once again didn't sync anything. Its working now but I don't know for how long. I HAVE NOT JAILL BROKE it before anyone asks. I believe you know when you buy a iPhone that they have some limits on what you can do.
