Motorola Droid 4 :: Didn't Receive Any Email Confirmation?
May 24, 2012I just registered my brand new DROID4, and I'm excited to take part of the Motorola Feedback Network. I did register, opt-in, and I didn't receive any email confirmation like I had previously with my DROID3.Also, I noticed on my Profile, that it had added an extra '6' to my serial number, which I thought was odd, so I modded my profile to have the correct serial number (HEX). Not sure if that's a bug or if anyone else has noticed that. I had double checked my input *TWICE* before submitting it, so it wasn't a typo.
With ICS for the D4 getting closer, I wanted to take part in the soak test, but I'm not sure how I can verify that my phone has properly been registered so I can take part in it. With the (2) "leaks" floating around the net, I figured Moto must be getting close to releasing the soak test,I have a Car Dock, and the 'Universal' HD Dock. I also use the Motorola Car Finder (which is a bit buggy, but incredibly useful app) I can provide good feedback, and I look forward to ICS. I was actually running it on my D3 for a while, and can say that ICS is awesome
Motorola Triumph :: Can't Get A Simple Confirmation
Nov 2, 2011I have been following this community since I bought my Triumph 2+ months ago. I am generally happy with the phone, although I am annoyed by the intermittent lack of responsiveness from the touchscreen and the GPS issues. I cannot believe that there are actually Motorola and VM employees who are saying that they are not aware of any issues with the phone - and they say this in the context of forums like this that are FULL of people reporting issues with the phone. I am extremely disappointed with both companies for refusing to either acknowledge that they are working on a fix (or Gingerbread upgrade) or announce that there will be no fix/upgrade. Matt, the Forums Manager, posted the following on the Droid Bionic forum yesterday:
"I know everyone is eager for updated software. We have been working diligently on a software update for DROID BIONIC and have a version in the testing stage; we expect to deliver it to users in 30 to 60 days. The update is targeting issues identified through owner feedback and we're confident it will improve device performance."
Why can't we get an answer one way or the other as to whether there will be a fix or an upgrade for the Triumph? I think a lot of us would be happy with a simple acknowledgement that it is coming, even if the timeframe is still unknown. If it has been decided that there will be no fix or upgrade, then we would like to know that. Triumph users are entitled to the same treatment as the Droid Bionic users, and we have been waiting longer.
Motorola Atrix 2 :: Confirmation Of Adobe Flash And Air Icons In App Tray?
Oct 29, 2011I downloaded Adobe Flash and Adobe Air from Market. When I went to the Application Tray Icon on my home screen and opened it, there was NO Icon for either Adobe Flash, or Adobe Air, there was however on the first page a icon for "Flash Settings"
When I went to Manage Apps/Applications from Settings...., Both the Proper Icons for Air and Flash were showing.... Is this proper or should I also be seeing a Icon for them both in the Applications Tray as well-?
Motorola Droid 3 :: Can't Find Pictures Or Video
Oct 23, 2011I can't find some pictures or a video that I took on my DROID3. I'm not sure if I had them stored on the SD card or internal storage. There is one picture contained in the internal memeory that I took when I first got the phone and before I put the SD card in it. The SD card is from my old Blackberry. It takes and stores new pictures just fine. The pictures and video are from about 2 weeks ago. I did find a thumbnail that looks like it might be from the video and I set one of the pictures aas my wallpaper. It displays fine as a wallpaper but for some reason it can't find that actual picture.

Dec 15, 2011Since the update I keep getting this notice that pops up saying my location can't be found. This is happening on a variety of apps from texting (GO) to just playing games. I have searched thru every app and nothing seems to be location based. My GPS is off and I don't use any social media apps needing location and location is also turned off on my camera. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?
Otherwise the update has made my phone a bit faster, the camera focus now works great but I am still dropping a data connection tho not constantly. My connection is alot stronger and I can at least pull 3 blue bars of 3G. I am not really happy that I am still dropping a connection. I can drop to zero bars while sitting in the same spot. It comes back faster but my phone had degraded to not being able to get back the connection for at least 5 minutes (airplane mode, shutting phone off, pulling battery).

Sep 9, 2011On my original Droid there was an option to select which account I wanted to look at or even combine the inboxes and when one was selected I could set sounds for that account. On my Bionic I couldn't find a way to switch between accounts so I made separate icons for each but it turns out that when I set the sound on one it changes both.

Jul 26, 2012I have a few apps on my phone that can't locate the sd card. The most important of these (to me) are apps that are designed to read or import csv files and create little databases from the data.
All of them look for files on the sd card automatically and report that none are present (of course, I know they are because I put them there). One of them offers the option of searching for the files manually. When I do, instead of displaying the contents of my sd card, it displays the contents of my internal storage. I suspect that's where the apps that search automatically are looking as well.
I tried dismounting/remounting the sd card. Didn't work.
Yesterday I spoke to a second tier Motorola support agent. He tried various things by taking charge of my phone remotely, then did a factory reset. No joy. He said that in his opinion, the apps (all four of them) are at fault.
One of those apps worked perfectly under Gingerbread. I downloaded the other three when it stopped working after the ICS upgrade.
I had a similar problem with an mp3 player when it tried to automatically find the mp3 folder on my sd card. Did the same thing: examined the internal storage instead, even though I chose the option to search the external card. Fortunately, that app also had an option to search manually, and that function saw the sd card.
These data apps are very important to me. One developer said he's working on an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. The other developers haven't replied, though their sites claim that their products are compatible with Android 4.
Is this an operating system problem? A device problem? Is there a way to "tell" apps the path to your sd card? The names of the apps: Panacea Database, Sailforms, Memento, Collector.
If anyone else using a Razr Maxx running Ice Cream has found an app that can successfully import a csv file or read an mdb file (Microsoft Access) on the sd card
Motorola Droid Razr :: Computer Can't Find Maxx
Dec 27, 2012I plugged it in to the computer tonight to see what exactly was in the double folders that I can see in the gallery. My computer can't even find the device. Went to Moto's site and downloaded drivers and installed them. Nope. Cannot find device. Ok. Son plugged his phone in - nope no device found. My computer runs XP. His computer runs Win 7 and he also has a Maxx with JB update on it that he got the same time I did. His opens Motocast and that is it. No drive letters. So on a whim, we took both phones to my granddaughter's computer running XP also and hers found all the drives on both phones. Is there a setting I am missing? We didn't change anything when we went to her computer..just plugged it is and it found the device and opened all the drives.

Jul 8, 2012Can I remove the email widget (@ on red background emerging from a white envelope) and still receive email? I have a problem not being able to find saved emails when I use this widget to check my inbox. In this mode the app does not show the messages folder.
I have both a gmail account and a cox.net account, I receive emails on both accounts and would like to keep it this way. I'm afraid to delete the above mentioned widget if it could affect my emails.

Jul 23, 2011This used to work on my Droid and Droid 2. I receive an HTML email, which appears as 3 attachments, 2 text and one HTML. If I click on either of the TXT attachments I'm offered the choice of HTML Viewer or QuickOffice to view them. However when I click on the HTML attachment (the actual mail body) it goes straight to the browser, which tries to opencontent://com.motorola.blur.service.email.engine.EmailProvider/bodyparts/file/3/329_5.attand drops me into a google search browser window "did not match any documents". IOW it cannot find that file/location.
It's as if the email tool is creating an address (storage location) for the attachment that the browser doesn't recognize; or that it is creating one but passing a different handle to the HTML reader. Over a variety of emails the pattern is .../file/x/yyy_5.att.sing "Files" I can't find anything that looks like these attachment files, apparently it is below user visibility. can save the attachment into Messages then view it with the HTML Viewer; but I don't want to do that a dozen times a day.
Motorola Droid Razr :: Slow To Find Wifi Connections?
Aug 7, 2012Having a new problem finding and connecting to wifi hotspots / routers. When phone was new it used to find a list of available networks very quickly and connect to previously used networks without a problem.Now (only a few weeks old) the phone takes 2-3 minutes to "scan" for networks, then takes another 30sec or a minute to connect.Can't think of any settings I've changed which might have caused this. Have not installed any 3rd party wifi apps either.

Aug 29, 2015I have a droid turbo. When i throw my music into my music folder that appears after plugging my phone into the computer, i cant find it on my phone. I will either put MP3s directly into the "music" folder, or i will create another folder within the music player, name it after the band or album, and then put the mp3s into that newly created folder. Then upon rebooting my phone, the music doesn't appear in the music player application. Though if i do put music into my "downloads" folder i am able to find it, though with this method i am unable to organize the music at all.

Nov 13, 2011For whatever reason I can't get the stock e-mail app to sync my G-mail account correctly, unless I use the manual sync. It shows every 15 minutes (not thrilled with that either) but still won't do it. I really like the stock e-mail app with the gesture swipe too and just the general look of it. How can the g-mail app continuously sync and not this one? Plus I don't want notifications coming up for both apps, it's pretty redundant.Data push is turned on for: my gmail accountFetch Schedule is every 15 minutes but it shows for "no accounts" can't find an option that connects my account.
