Just upgraded to .656 and now I don't get confirmation of text messages being delivered. I've set and saved the settings to ON, but its flicking back to OFF.Is anyone else having this issue? I'm going to roll back to my previous OS as it worked fine on there..

Some of my text messages have recently appeared delivered but are not received. What to do?

I am receiving text messages from a friend, but she can't receive mine when they are sent as an imessage. She and I both have iPhones. I've reset my phone, updated my routing with my carrier, to no avail.

I've tried resetting Network Settings, turned off iMessage, rebooted our phones, etc.

Just recently I have had some problems sending normal text messages..The problem is when I want to send a text I go to my contacts and try to send a sms message, but instead of opening up a conversation window I get taken straight to my recieved messages... I havent had a problem replying to messages after people have texted me, its iniating the converstation thats not working.

- Messages are not delivered (or they are delivered hours later)
- I sometimes don't receive messages (or I receive them hours later)
- I type in blue (so I think it's an iMessage) but then when I send it turns green.
You can't imagine the consequences of this and how it affected my relation with my girlfriend !!I switched it off and I don't care to find a solution (the same with iCloud).
sometimes my text messages dont open some times they do .. any solutions?

It was then after asking some members about this matter I've just known that any comment I wrote never appeared on their BBs, so nobody ever read any message from me. It happened within Group Chat only. It is completely okay with inter personal chat.
In trying to overcome this problem I have upgraded the OS from the original 330 to 442 and then to 536 without result. Perhaps to change any setting related to this matter?
Is there any way to block text messages from one person. I added the call blocker pro, but it only blocks calls not text.

View 4 Replies View RelatedStarting yesterday night, every time I would try to open the activity log for my boyfriend, the phone will freeze. I took the battery out and turned the device off. Once back on, I noticed that some of my text messages were missing between us. Its only him, no other contact in my phone. Does anyone know why. When I do a search for it, I see all the text messages even the ones missing but every time I try to pull it up in messages, it doesn't show up and freezes. I've only had the device for a couple of days.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor the past week or so, my texts messages get stuck. What I mean..If I'm texting a friend and we are going back and forth, all of a sudden, the text msg wont open. I can scroll thru the list and open, reply to my other friends, but not the one im communicating with at that moment. I press the trackpad a ton of times and it just wont open. I have my phone set up to auto off and on each day. I also have run a Wifi at my house, so my phone is always using this connection first. Most times when I try to send my first message of the day it hangs until I shut down all connections. I do notice that the UMA isnt connected. I see the 5 bars with wifi. After a on/off cycle the UMA and wifi come back on. The wifi signal is strong at 2-3 lines always. Its like the 3G and UMA are fighting one another and no one wins. Am I missing something?

But one problem i'am having trouble with sending and receiving text messages. I have called att customer care numerous times and powered cycled my phone as many times as I can count but still nothing, I have also checked to see if the "service center" number is correct and it is, I still have no clue what it could be. When i send an sms text message and scroll up to the message it says "sent" and the date and time but i ask the recipient if he/she has received the text but still nothing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem since yesterday. Out of the blue my 9700 (5.0.0.442, free device, Vodafone Germany) can no longer connect to the Internet. The connection to the BIS, however, is still there. It lacks only the right service books. Vodafone said that I should do a software update -> so I installed 5.0.0.536. But the problem persists. The Vodafone-BlackBerry support is then determined that posting the service books hang in a "queue" and can not be delivered. They created a new BIS account for testing, even there the problem exists.My carrier says I have to replace the 9700. But I don't think, that this is a hardware problem.

Akkupulls, resending service books, wiping and new firmware install brought no improvement. I just despair.
Every data connection with no BIS requirement works. (e.g. weather apps)
When I send/recieve an email there is no small check-mark next to the messages with a small "R" for read or "D" for delievered.How do i change this?When i Had my 8900 it had the check mark,is this something that is only on the 9700?

My 9700 recently started not letting me view my new text messages. For example, sometimes I get forwarded chain texts and it won't let me view them, it'll show a random block of text and that's it. And if I try to reply to it, it won't show me my reply, it's only doing this with a few contacts, but it's still extremely annoying.I've tried uninstalling my third party apps and it didn't fix it, is it a setting I have to change or does anyone know anything?

1-I can't send or receive texts from certain contacts (right now it only seems to be from my boyfriend, we're both on At&t).
2-My text threads lock-up. A new text comes in, but I can't actually open the message. I can open all the previous messages, but any message at the top won't open.
