I had 2 ringtones that worked fine on my iPhone 4. When I updated my phone and had to restore it, they disappeared as options for my ringer. I bought them again, and they still don't appear as options for my ringer.

Last week I purchased three ringtones from iTunes directly from my iPhone and when I synced up my iPhone to my Mac just now, it removed those ringtones off my phone but now I can't figure out how to get them back on! I can see those ringtones in iTunes on my Mac but when I tell it to sync those ringtones back to my phone they never show up. What am I doing wrong?

But while plugged into the USB, it can not access my ringtones on the mediacard, where all of my defaults for SMS, Phone, and Email are located. So, the question, is there a way to import external, i.e. .wav's or .mp3's on a media card, to the Tours onboard memory so that the device can access them even plugged in. Yea - I know - how long can a phone be plugged in and is this really an issue. Yes - it is - to me. On a busy day at work, I will often plug my phone into the USB at my PC to charge it some, especially if it is getting into the 50% range, and it is not noon yet.

View 1 Replies View RelatediTunes (updated yesterday) and iPhone 4s are up to date with updates. When my phone synched yesterday, I lost all my music, except my most recent purchases. I also lost all my videos. Apps are not affected whatsoever.
When I look at the phone in iTunes, I can see all my music & movies listed as being on the phone but there is an "!" next to all the songs. The capacity bar shows what should be the correct amount, and there is about 10 gig of space free.
However, when I sync the phone with itunes, the capacity bar begins with what is currently (or accessible) on the phone, and then jumps to where it actually should be while it is on step 4, but then goes back to the lower amount it goes into step 5.
