HTC :: Touch How To Access Ringtones?
May 8, 2010When i set up my sd card for my Mytouch 3g I made a folder for ringtones, put a few in. How do i access them ? when i set up ringtones for contacts I dont see the ones on my sd card.

Dec 10, 2014I can't access the ringtones I bought on iTunes on my iPhone 4. When I sync it with my laptop, I see the ringtones in the Tones section but I can't do anything but look at them. How can I make it so the ringtones are in my phone and I can access them?

Feb 26, 2010I have not found in a search where this is covered, so here goes While plugged into my USB port my Tour defaults to the Ringer_ClassicPhone Ringtone. It sounds horrible. But while plugged into the USB, it can not access my ringtones on the mediacard, where all of my defaults for SMS, Phone, and Email are located. So, the question, is there a way to import external, i.e. .wav's or .mp3's on a media card, to the Tours onboard memory so that the device can access them even plugged in. Yea - I know - how long can a phone be plugged in and is this really an issue. Yes - it is - to me. On a busy day at work, I will often plug my phone into the USB at my PC to charge it some, especially if it is getting into the 50% range, and it is not noon yet.

HTC :: Touch Pro Cannot Access Wi-Fi And EVDO
Mar 22, 2010I am totally new with Windows Mobile.Bought a used Touch Pro Sprint on ebay 2 weeks ago. I have been able to use the wifi on it to read email and browse internet at home. Yesterday, I was able to set it up on boostmobile to swapping it with my newly activated sanyo mirro through the boostmobile CS. The phone call and EVDO web immediately worked on the Touch Pro.After that, I installed the AL_CommManager_Suite_with_WifiSharing_1_1.CAB - the htc wifi router. Then my laptop was able to use the TouchPro as a router to connect to internet. Speedtest was around 700kbps down and 150kbps up.
After that, I reverted my laptop back to use my home broadband, and did not use the touch pro for an hour or so. I don't recall doing anything to the Touch Pro in between. But then, I found out my Touch Pro cannot connect to internet through EVDO any more. I thought this may be a problem with boostmobile side, and was planning to call the CS to find out. But then I found the wifi connection does not work either.I uninstalled the AL comm_manager suite. But the problem still exists.
So I checked the wifi more carefully. TouchPro shows it is connected to my home wifi. My home router also shows that it detects the TouchPro, but did not assign an IP address for it. Since I did not change my router settings, so it means probabaly TouchPro DHCP client is not working.I also found out Touch Pro can still get emails and sync weather when connected to my laptop with activesync, but the web browser does not work still.I guess, if I could fix the wifi problem, then the EVDO problem may also be fixed. They could be caused by the same thing.

Aug 8, 2011I dropped my Nokia X6 and the screen cracked. It still displays everything OK but accepts no input. I don't want to shell out money to have it fixed (+-$100) because I'm almost due for a phone upgrade on my contract.I tried using the data cable but when I connect it to the phone I can't choose data transfer or ovi suite etc. since the screen input is broken.Is there any way to access the (internal) memory of the phone? I basically just need the photos and contacts.

Sep 23, 2011After installing Wifi File Transfer, I accidentally renamed the "store/" folder and now I cannot access the device memory on my Curve 8520. Opening the device memory in the Files app just shows a blank screen. I've lost all preloaded pictures and tones, as well as pictures stored on the onboard memory.If I take a picture with the camera and press Rename, a box will show up with the full path to the device memory, which is supposed to be "Device Memory/home/user/pictures". I can't access that anymore. I also can't access "Device Memory/samples" which contains the ringtones and pictures.

May 16, 2012Problem Description I was in a middle of a workout with the MOTOACTV. It was connected wirelessly to my heart rate monitor. During the workout the UI became high latency and almost completely unresponsive. It would take 3 4 presses to the Power Key to get the device to wake up. When device did wake up, the CapTouch UI would not accept any swipe or touch gestures. I finally was able to power the device down hoping for a graceful reset. However I was concerned that I was never going to get to the point of getting to the power down screen. seen this issue on other Android devices and know that there are times when a battery pull is needed due to a deadlock or a process gone haywire.

Feb 12, 2010I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.

My Sprint Touch Pro's touchscreen slowly died today. And I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I should do. I bought it on eBay and apparently the warranty is non-transferable so that's void. I have it on Boost so I'm guessing going to Sprint is out of the question also.

Aug 14, 2015I distinctly remember setting a separate ring-tone for one of my favorites. But then, out of the blue, her ring tone switched to the default. I was just trying to edit the contact. But when I select a new ring tone, it no longer previews. I can select one, but not have it play right away.
I tried powering the phone off and back on, but still cannot preview the ring tones. I played around with the "compose ringtones" option that makes a ring tone out of the phone number, but that doesn't work because it does it for each phone number for each favorite. So that I would have to memorize more than 10 similar ring tones. But at least I could press the play button and preview the tones. That tells me it is not the default sound playing app that is the issue.

Jun 9, 2012I still have my iPhone 3G. Have had no reason to get a newer iPhone.
I recently tried to get a new ringtone from iTunes and all I get anymore is "Tone not available for this device. A device that can run iOS5.0 or later is required." I get this for ever ringtone now. Even ones that worked just a few months back.
Am I just out of the ringtone list forever now?
