HTC :: Touch Pro Cannot Access Wi-Fi And EVDO

I am totally new with Windows Mobile.Bought a used Touch Pro Sprint on ebay 2 weeks ago. I have been able to use the wifi on it to read email and browse internet at home. Yesterday, I was able to set it up on boostmobile to swapping it with my newly activated sanyo mirro through the boostmobile CS. The phone call and EVDO web immediately worked on the Touch Pro.After that, I installed the AL_CommManager_Suite_with_WifiSharing_1_1.CAB - the htc wifi router. Then my laptop was able to use the TouchPro as a router to connect to internet. Speedtest was around 700kbps down and 150kbps up.
After that, I reverted my laptop back to use my home broadband, and did not use the touch pro for an hour or so. I don't recall doing anything to the Touch Pro in between. But then, I found out my Touch Pro cannot connect to internet through EVDO any more. I thought this may be a problem with boostmobile side, and was planning to call the CS to find out. But then I found the wifi connection does not work either.I uninstalled the AL comm_manager suite. But the problem still exists.
So I checked the wifi more carefully. TouchPro shows it is connected to my home wifi. My home router also shows that it detects the TouchPro, but did not assign an IP address for it. Since I did not change my router settings, so it means probabaly TouchPro DHCP client is not working.I also found out Touch Pro can still get emails and sync weather when connected to my laptop with activesync, but the web browser does not work still.I guess, if I could fix the wifi problem, then the EVDO problem may also be fixed. They could be caused by the same thing.

Okay ive got the Lg Rhythm and noticed that it is in evdo mode which drains the battery like crazy. i tried looking in the secret menu and didnt find any setting to turn it from evdo to 1x.

My "new" used W385 will not show EVDO.My other VZW phones do show EVDO.I'm in NYC so EVDO coverage not an issue.Have tried in various parts of the city. Same results.Have rebooted. Removed battery. And reset phone. No difference.Any suggestions on what to try next? Also, what is latest software for this unit? The good news is the RF is even better than my formerly trusty e815.

I bought the 8330 about six months ago and purchased the High-speed data package from Sprint. I have confirmed with my provider that I do have the high-speed data package. I noticed that the phone is very slow while connecting to the internet. I took the phone into the store where I bought it which is a Sprint dealer.
The person working there said the problem was that.I only had a 1X for radio signal and I needed a 1XEV. He messed with the phone for about an hour and even talked to support while I was in store. We tried re-provisioning several times and numerous other things. Eventually I was told by support that the particular Blackberry I owned did not support EV(EVDO) service and I would have to purchase a new phone.

I dropped my Nokia X6 and the screen cracked. It still displays everything OK but accepts no input. I don't want to shell out money to have it fixed (+-$100) because I'm almost due for a phone upgrade on my contract.I tried using the data cable but when I connect it to the phone I can't choose data transfer or ovi suite etc. since the screen input is broken.Is there any way to access the (internal) memory of the phone? I basically just need the photos and contacts.

Problem Description I was in a middle of a workout with the MOTOACTV. It was connected wirelessly to my heart rate monitor. During the workout the UI became high latency and almost completely unresponsive. It would take 3 4 presses to the Power Key to get the device to wake up. When device did wake up, the CapTouch UI would not accept any swipe or touch gestures. I finally was able to power the device down hoping for a graceful reset. However I was concerned that I was never going to get to the point of getting to the power down screen. seen this issue on other Android devices and know that there are times when a battery pull is needed due to a deadlock or a process gone haywire.

I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.

I posted this in the wrong forum earlier like an idiot. If you see it please disregard. I didn't know how to get it deleted, I'm still a newbie as if you couldn't tell. My Sprint Touch Pro's touchscreen slowly died today. And I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I should do. I bought it on eBay and apparently the warranty is non-transferable so that's void. I have it on Boost so I'm guessing going to Sprint is out of the question also.

My 5800 touch screen is not responding well like any touch screen should. Compared with my friend's phone and he said there is definite problem with touch. Now is this rectifiable? Or better to go for an exchange? I dont trust Nokia Care because my e72 is still with them for some error which they are not explaning properly. Poor customer service.

I will be traveling abroad with my new iphone 4S and will need to make calls for reservations during my trip. To prevent abroad fees for voice calls, I am planning on leaving the phone on AIRPLANE MODE 'ON' with WIFI 'ON' (along with CELLULAR DATA 'OFF' just in case) and make my calls with Skype when I find a Wifi. If I understand correctly, it's OK so far...?
However if I received a call, I guess it will go in my voice mail? Will I a receive a Voice Message notification...? and how? Could I listen to the message through wifi or must I turn back the cellular service on (AIRPLANE MODE 'OFF'), which I would not want to do...

Just bought a BB Storm 2, 9520. But i find something doesn't seem right, but not exactly sure if it's a problem or it's just the design of the phone. Please enlighten me on this.The touch screen of my phone doesn't seem "fix" like other touch screen phone. The feel of touching the BB screen is like pressing a button where it'll "depress" when u press the screen. Is this normal for this phone?

Please someone figure out how to make this darn thing ring when it should. I love this phone but I'm on about day 20 of the 30 day return deal and the stupid thing just will not ring rite. most of the time if i use my wifes phone it takes 4 to 5 rings to actually start ringing then goes to voicemail and it will not even say I missed a call. I installed diamond tweaks, installed fine but will not open. I have taken it to two different uscc techs, they have no clue(but I do belive they have had more than just me complain there was a guy in there screaming at um cause he was past his 30 day and they would not help him , he just realized he's been missing all sorts of important calls. lol). I wrote htc no responce. I really don't want to have to bring it back specially cause I sined a internet plan contract and the only other phone they have is the blackberry tour that I cant use as a wifi spot. Like I say I don't mind it being super slow sluggish not doing what I click hell even not telling me I missed a call till 6 hours later but I DO need it to ring when it's supposed to.

Have had the Env Touch for a few months now and love it..just lately all of a sudden it just shuts itself off fro no known reason. Today i opened the phone to text, finished and closed the phone. It was off when the phone closed??? No noise, it happens in less than a second.Tried removing the battery many times and cleaned and checked the battery contacts.

Basically, in a nutshell, i want to be able to change this "slide lock" screen. I just flat out hate the way it looks, I want more of a sleek looking slide lock. Personally, i dont find the grey to be appealing at all. And id like to have just a tad bit more transparency as well. Does anyone know where i can find a different screen? Im assuming its a flash (.swf) file, just like most of the apps, and the theme is. If this is the case im sure its easy to customize, like the theme is as well. I don't mind using BitPim to make changes, so thats all good too.Been searching all day on Google for any user-customized screens, but haven't found a single thing.

Should I get an LG Env3 or LG Env Touch? I've tried both phones out in the store, but can't decide. It seems like the Touch is a better phone, but large for carrying in a pocket. I've read on forums, that is has a terrible battery life. The LG Env3 has a great batter life, and I like the number dialing pad. Supposedly both phones have bugs in them, that haven't been resolved.

I bought a used Touch Pro from eBay.The first thing I noticed is that the screen keeps flashing whenever I tap on something.Often it goes to sleep when I'm in the middle of doing something.I tried adjusting the battery options but it still happens.Is the phone defective? The seller claims the phone worked fine a few weeks ago before she upgraded phones.When I received the phone, it had the battery in it and was turned on, however. I'm wondering if it was damaged during shipping somehow.
