Have had the Env Touch for a few months now and love it..just lately all of a sudden it just shuts itself off fro no known reason. Today i opened the phone to text, finished and closed the phone. It was off when the phone closed??? No noise, it happens in less than a second.Tried removing the battery many times and cleaned and checked the battery contacts.
Problem Description I was in a middle of a workout with the MOTOACTV. It was connected wirelessly to my heart rate monitor. During the workout the UI became high latency and almost completely unresponsive. It would take 3 4 presses to the Power Key to get the device to wake up. When device did wake up, the CapTouch UI would not accept any swipe or touch gestures. I finally was able to power the device down hoping for a graceful reset. However I was concerned that I was never going to get to the point of getting to the power down screen. seen this issue on other Android devices and know that there are times when a battery pull is needed due to a deadlock or a process gone haywire.
I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom. These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.
I posted this in the wrong forum earlier like an idiot. If you see it please disregard. I didn't know how to get it deleted, I'm still a newbie as if you couldn't tell. My Sprint Touch Pro's touchscreen slowly died today. And I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I should do. I bought it on eBay and apparently the warranty is non-transferable so that's void. I have it on Boost so I'm guessing going to Sprint is out of the question also.
My 5800 touch screen is not responding well like any touch screen should. Compared with my friend's phone and he said there is definite problem with touch. Now is this rectifiable? Or better to go for an exchange? I dont trust Nokia Care because my e72 is still with them for some error which they are not explaning properly. Poor customer service.
For some reason, my phone will shut itself off without me touching the power button. It doesn't even do the power down thing, it just turns off abruptly, as if the battery was taken out, (even though it wasn't), even with a fully charged battery.it's getting annoying... it does this 3-4 times a day
My iphone 4s has been shutting off at 49% lately. As it is shutting down, the battery percentage changes and shows 1%. When I plug it back in and turn it on it then shows 49% again. Why would my percentages be wrong or it be shutting off at 49%?
My E71 started giving me a new problem since the last few days:Firstly, I was not able to charge the battery. I succeeded after fiddling with the charging point, there were flashes on the screen, but it resumed charging.I was not able to start up the phone - pressing the power button didn't seem to work. Even taking the battery out and re-trying was like a trial and error method. It works, but I have to try more than once. The phone switches off automatically. If there is movement, e.g. walking with the phone in my pocket, it is definitely going to be switched off.If the phone lies unused for a relatively long period of time, e.g. 30 min, the power saver screen hangs up and I have resort to taking the battery out and follow the entire process. This seems to have started all of a sudden without any prior warning. I shall be grateful to anyone who can help me address this problem.
Recently the back light / screen of my Blackberry Curve never seems to shut itself off after no use and/or when charging and it's draining my battery very quickly. Prior, it used to shut down during charging and/or when not in use after about 20 minutes.
my htc one shuts down after a couple of seconds when run on battery, but it stays on during charging. Is it a battery issue? Should I buy a new battery or send it to htc one for inspection? I even did a factory reset, but it didnt work. Also it turns off quickly while using camera, playing games, or in other words it stays on longer when I am not using it at all.
I bought this unit 6 months ago without warranty. Suddenly the phone shuts down and restart but after the LG Logo showed up it shuts down again and do the same thing all over again. It does not happen if the phone is being connected to a charger but as soon as i remove it, even if it says fully charged it will do the same thing.
While using the ENV3, at times it will shut it off by itself. I could be in the middle of a text message or just having the phone sitting on the couch next to me, but the next thing I know, the phone powers itself off. Does anyone else have this trouble??
I'm hoping someone can give me some tips. I bought the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant through Bell 2 days ago. Since then it froze up once, twice it shut down on me. I put the phone down, went to use it and the screen was blacked out, nothing worked. I ended up taking the battery out and re-installing to turn the phone back on.Since I've only had it two days I'm a little concerned, it's also my first smart phone so I'm not sure if this type of thing is common.
My iPhone 3GS shuts down randomly everyday during use. Plenty of battery (more than 50% at the lowest). It just goes black. And there is a strange vertical banding in the black dead screen. Restarting begins working, apple logo appears, but after a long wait it just quits again and goes black. Again, there is plenty of battery charge, this can happen on a full charge. Have tried hard-restarting by pressing power and home with the same result. Only when I have plugged it into a power source does it boot. It can then be disconnected immediately and used for hours, or until it crashes again.
This often happens with angry birds (any version) but that's just because I play it too much, it can also happen using apple apps like mail
I purchased a new 16gb AT&T iPhone4s a few days ago and today when I went to use my phone I noticed it had turned off by itself. The only way I was able to power it back on was to hold the home and power buttons at the same time. I did a lot of research on the problem and saw that if the Diagnostics had a panic.plist that there are hardware errors or failures involved.
So I looked at my diagnostics and can confirm there are two logs with the panic.plist header. panic(cpu 0 caller 0x8007617c):lck_mtx)lock():mutex (0x9B5A2820): 0x000080000. The phone came preinstalled with OS 5.1.
So I am here to ask if this is a case where I have no choice but to replace my phone... From everything I've read it seems to be the case, but I've only had the phone for a few days and would be really upset if this were the case. I gave Apple a call and they said to basically not worry about it unless it happens again... but after doing the research it has just got me more worried.
My phone wasn't low on battery but then it just shut off. And now It wont turn on and when i plug it into the computer It doesn't recognize that it is plugged in. How can I fix this fast without going to the Apple store.
My iPhone 4s randomly turns itself off during calls, text, and emails. It has never been dropped, gotten wet, or been exposed to extreme heat or cold, so I can't understand why all of a sudden this is happening. I bought it in October 2011, so it's not even a year old yet.
This problem has been gradually worsening. Happens often when using Maps, but at times with most any app. At first it was only occurring when battery was below 15%. Now it will occur even at 70%. Putting it on a charger fixes this immediately, no matter what battery life is indicating. Reset doesn't help.
My iPhone 3GS randomly shuts down for no reason, and apparently I am not the only person having a problem with this. This happens regardless of how much battery life my phone shows, or whichever application I am using. I understand that cell phones are not built to last forever, but my phone is in to good of a condition to go out and purchase a new one.
I've had my iPhone 3GS since Feb. of 2010. The same phone since Feb. 2010 with no problems. I noticed my phone started shutting off around 20% in December. I didn't think of it as a big problem. Then it got worse and started shutting off around 35% in mid-January 2012. Then it started shutting off at 50% around early March. Now it's June 2012 and it's basically shutting off around 70-80%. Sometimes it shuts off around 87% when I try to play a phone game. It's gotten to the point where I can't use my phone outside at all because it'll just shut off. I've tried restoring the phone and that doesn't work. I've tried "X-ing" out comments I don't use. I've known other people with this problem who've tried restoring to factory settings and that didn't work. I don't want to waste my upgrade on the iPhone 4S when the iPhone 5 is coming soon. I don't know what to do.
Is there a battery replacement that I can get? I don't have money to cough up for another phone. I don't want to waste my contract upgrade for another phone. I want to wait until the iPhone 5 to upgrade. And I'm out of warranty now so Apple probably won't replace my phone.
Every time I try to shut down my iphone, (Slide to to Power Off), it shuts down, but keeps rebooting. (Unless it is connected via USB cord to a live charger). Have tried different USB cables and chargers, reinstalled iOS 5.1.1, same results. iPhone 4S
I cannot open it unless I charge it (even if it has 80% battery). The big problem: while it is shut down, people can call me, and I never see it (the phone doesn't ring, and after openning it I see no missed calls. It even happened to me not to ever receive messages sent while the iphone was dead.I have firstly tried to change my battery. The I tried to reboot (press and hold Lock&Home buttons), then I tried to reset it (to factory settings) from the iTunes. It did not help. Can anybody give me a hint about what else should I try?
My iphone was recently disabled since I forgot the password to get in it and I need to connect it to itunes. The problem is that every time I connect it to the computer it shuts dow and it wont stop until you disconnect it.
