Last week I updated my iPhone 4S from iOS 7 to iOS 8.1.1. Allthough the battery level is 30%, my iPhone shuts down. I can only start it again by connecting it to a power supply (computer or charger) to get it back to life again. And if it is restarted, the battery level again is 30%. This is very annoying. I regret is very much that I updated the iOS.Â

This started after installing iOS8 (currently on iOS 8.1.1): At around 20% battery life, if I'm using any app at all the phone will shut down like there's no battery left. It will not restart. Plug it into the charger and get the display showing there's no battery life and it needs charging. After about 30 seconds, phone powers back up and shows 20%+ battery.Â
I have tried draining it to shut down, but it's hard to get it past 20%. I have made sure there were no background apps running, turned off just about everything I could. No joy. And this never happened under iOS7; it started right after I installed iOS8.
I have an iphone 4s and ever since the screen was replaced. It has been shutting down with a full battery saying its dead.

My IPhone 4 was working completely fine, then while i was listening to music it shuts off (the battery at 84%) . Now it won't cut back on, I've tired restoring it via itunes it just gives me an error, and I've tired holding the home and power button for 12secs. It still won't do anything

My iPhone 4 abrupty shuts off, incorrectly flashing low battery. Attach it to a charger and turn it on, and the battery percentage displays within the 40% range. Over the next week the shut off percentage will increase. I am on my 3rd phone. I purchased my original phone in Feb 2011. The problem started occuring Jan 2012. The phone was replace under warranty in Jan 2012.Buy April 2012 the same problem started occuring. Now it's June 2012 and the problem is occuring again. By the time the first two phones were replaced, it was shutting down in the the 90% range.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy htc one shuts down after a couple of seconds when run on battery, but it stays on during charging. Is it a battery issue? Should I buy a new battery or send it to htc one for inspection? I even did a factory reset, but it didnt work. Also it turns off quickly while using camera, playing games, or in other words it stays on longer when I am not using it at all.

Whenever I am in the browswer, my bby just shuts down and restarts. When it finally does restart, the battery (which is FULLY charged), is completely drained and it says i have a "low battery"
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've noticed since the 4.4.3 update on Verizon, that my M7 will shut down before the battery hits zero, in fact it occurs when the battery hits between 17-25%.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis happened to me a few times now now. A couple of weeks ago and yesterday. Both times I was using the network connection as wifi was not available. I used the repair feature within pc companion, but it happened again last night. It should be noted that the phone was fully charged, turned off, turned on during my lunch break and in use for only approx 20 mins.

View 3 Replies View RelatedLess than a week ago I purchased a blackberry bold 9700 brand new on craigslist. As soon as I got it i updated the software to 5.0.0.862 because on the crackberry i saw most people said it was a good build. I run 2 email accounts on my phone and use bbm. I noticed when i received 2 emails + a bbm at the same time the phone would shut off and i would need to do a battery pull to get it to start up again. But recently i noticed that the battery meter at the top left isnt updating properly. When the phones at 50% i still have 3 out of the 5 blocks. I notice that as it begins to dip a bit low past 50% the phone shuts off and when I just do a battery pull it doesnt seem to start up. Then when i plug in the power after some time the red led comes on and then a white screen with an empty battery shows up with a line through it. Then after a while it goes away and it starts up. Is anyone else facing this problem or know a solution

View 4 Replies View RelatedI own a Neo V. It shuts down unexpectedly. It may shut down twice a day or once a week. After it has shut down I cannot power it on. I must first remove the battery and then power it on. Is it a hardware or a software problem? I have Android version 2.3.4 and my build number is 4.0.2.A.0.62. I have not rooted it and I have already tried to reset to factory settings.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs that normal? I'd think that Google can just disable the camera when battery is low, instead of forcibly shutting down the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my Xperia Mini 26 days ago. But I am having some major battery problems already. When the battery charge level decreases to 50% my phone automatically displays a message that the phone battery is low and shuts down. It won't even turn on unless it is charged. I know the rules to save battery life, I have already done the following:
1. Turned off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
2. Switched to 2G when at home from 3G
3. I have a very low screen brightness
4. Turned off GPS when not needed
5. Disabled the display bravia engine, animations and screen auto rotation
Still my phone shuts down at 50%.
Bold 9700 running 6.0, battery suddenly drains dies and phone shuts off, even though there is charge left.I've made sure to exit and close apps so they don't drain in the background.Tried replacing the phone through the carrier.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to Lollipop 5.1.1 recently using Sony updates. However I am having a strange problem now. The phone shuts down when pulled out of a power source though battery status is above 80%. If I plug back the phone into a power supply and restart, I am able to use the phone without any problem. Is my battery dead? It has been about 1.5 years now with this phone. Tried restarting in safe mode as well but the phone still shut down when pulled out of power supply.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the Droid Bionic approximately 2 weeks ago. I got one for my husband also. Recently, my phone has been randomly shutting off and the only way to turn it back on is to remove the battery. It has also happened when the phone is on and I am charging it. My husband's phone has not randomly shut off at any time. I have downloaded a few apps which include Accuweather, Go SMS pro and PicSpeed Wallpaper. I also inserted my micro SD card from my old phone into the new phone which I just removed to see if the phone will randomly shut down. I also do not have the pocket detector on.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 4s has been shutting off at 49% lately. As it is shutting down, the battery percentage changes and shows 1%. When I plug it back in and turn it on it then shows 49% again. Why would my percentages be wrong or it be shutting off at 49%?

My iPhone 3GS shuts down randomly everyday during use. Plenty of battery (more than 50% at the lowest). It just goes black. And there is a strange vertical banding in the black dead screen. Restarting begins working, apple logo appears, but after a long wait it just quits again and goes black. Again, there is plenty of battery charge, this can happen on a full charge. Have tried hard-restarting by pressing power and home with the same result. Only when I have plugged it into a power source does it boot. It can then be disconnected immediately and used for hours, or until it crashes again.
This often happens with angry birds (any version) but that's just because I play it too much, it can also happen using apple apps like mail
I purchased a new 16gb AT&T iPhone4s a few days ago and today when I went to use my phone I noticed it had turned off by itself. The only way I was able to power it back on was to hold the home and power buttons at the same time. I did a lot of research on the problem and saw that if the Diagnostics had a panic.plist that there are hardware errors or failures involved.
So I looked at my diagnostics and can confirm there are two logs with the panic.plist header. panic(cpu 0 caller 0x8007617c):lck_mtx)lock():mutex (0x9B5A2820): 0x000080000. The phone came preinstalled with OS 5.1.
So I am here to ask if this is a case where I have no choice but to replace my phone... From everything I've read it seems to be the case, but I've only had the phone for a few days and would be really upset if this were the case. I gave Apple a call and they said to basically not worry about it unless it happens again... but after doing the research it has just got me more worried.

My iPhone 4s randomly turns itself off during calls, text, and emails. It has never been dropped, gotten wet, or been exposed to extreme heat or cold, so I can't understand why all of a sudden this is happening. I bought it in October 2011, so it's not even a year old yet.

This problem has been gradually worsening. Happens often when using Maps, but at times with most any app. At first it was only occurring when battery was below 15%. Now it will occur even at 70%. Putting it on a charger fixes this immediately, no matter what battery life is indicating. Reset doesn't help.

My iPhone 3GS randomly shuts down for no reason, and apparently I am not the only person having a problem with this. This happens regardless of how much battery life my phone shows, or whichever application I am using. I understand that cell phones are not built to last forever, but my phone is in to good of a condition to go out and purchase a new one.
