I have the 8330 on the Sprint network. This would not be a problem but it does not automatically turn it back on when I charge the battery. Is there any way to set it so it automatically turns it back on when the battery charges?

a) turn it off
b) charge it via USB
c) turn it on.
The Mobile network comes up as off.
I go to Manage Connections and check the box, and everything is fine again.Anyone have a clue what's going on? BB 8330, VZW, v4.5.0.77 (Didn't upgrade because their newer release is supposed to be less good).
So yeah, my wives 8310 battery reports between 50-100% charge, and if she is in a call, bam it shuts off, and will only turn back on, on charger. I would think it was battery BUT; this happened every day while in California, we went to South Carolina for the holidays (whole month of december), and it happened only once.OS is up to date, I upgraded to latest to make sure that wasn't the issue, happened following day (in Cali)and battery is 2 y/o. Anyone ever hear of this anomaly?

First, I had to figure out how to turn the radio back on as it was off when I got it. Now every time I click "camera" the phone shuts completely off and restarts! Tried two different batteries, on and off the charger, with and without microSD card. Any ideas?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am new to all of this stuff, and i just bought a used at&T curve 8310, i have tmobile and when i put my sim card in it reads my contacts and "t mobile" reads at the top of the screen but i cant make calls.
please help i have no idea what i am doing with this stuff.
I gave my sister my old curve its about 1 1/2 yrs old. the day i gave it to her the phone worked just fine but after she flew back home the battery would only last her a few minutes. i told her to try a new battery but it still has not changed anything. i even got her to upgrade to 5.0 just to see if it would make any difference but it doesnt.
she barely uses any apps, and mostly uses the phone for emailing.on standby it will every 10minutes or so the battery life will go down by 10%, and after a few texts or a minute or two on a call the phone will just die. she can pretty much just use it when its connected to a power source.Seems like a phone issue but there is no warranty on it
I know that I have a seen post on here regarding this but I can't find it. Sometime since Dec when I last left my time zone my BB has stopped updating using the network as the source.

I've had my BB curve for almost a year - and have to regularly synchronize to get emails; but for the past 3 days I have not been able to access net work - even to check emails to see if connection needs updating. just keep getting the same message: unable to connect to the selected provisioning server. when i turn off, pull battery, the turn on - the BB looks like it is trying to synchronize and connect, but it quits after a few seconds.

I had my 8310 formatted lately and got a Ver 4.5.0.182 installed on the same. The PDA works fine and the software seems to work properly. However from the time I have got my phone back, there is no network coverage on the phone. Tried everything in the network connection. Tried manual too but it just does not get any network coverage. I did a wipe handheld to reset it o factory setting. Still the same. Even used different SIM cards to check if that would work.

After I turn it back on i get the symbol in the top right that says "off" which according to the starting guide book says "Your connection to the wireless network is turned off" The only way i can fix this is pulling the battery. My phone stopped working randomly a couple of days ago. I cant send or receive texts or calls. In the corner where the signal is, changed from edge/GPRS to GMS now it's just constantly on SOS. I've tried going into mobile network options and switching network and then switching back and it's saying that my mobile network is out of range? I've also tried doing a battery pull and doing a security wipe which just deleted all my contacts I've been in contact with my mobile network and they told me try the SIM in another phone, and that worked so it's definitely a problem with the phone rather than the network.
