Jan 2, 2010I have a strange problem which appears to be random. Occasionally it turns itself off for no reason. Occasionally when I slide it open to write sms it turns itself off.Battery is properly seated and battery has charge. These are not low battery conditions. Does anyone else suffer similar problems? How do you prove this to LG as it is random and difficult to replicate?

Apr 21, 2010Looking at buying this phone, but can anyone tell me if it is possible to assign different ringtones for incoming text messages based on the contact info, similar to, but independent from assigning different ringtones for incoming calls.
For example,
Wife call - ringtone 1
Wife text - ringtone 2
Work (group of contacts) call - ringtone 3
Work (group of contacts) text - ringtone 4
Default (Other) callers - ringtone 5
Default (Other) text - ringtone 6
I used to be able to have different text alert sounds assigned on my old LG325, and just wondering if this phone has a similar feature.I find a lot of phones including my current Samsung Vice have only one ringtone for all text messages, which is annoying because I can't prioritize checking my incoming text messages, and have to look at every message to see if it's important.

He received a .jpg from someone that he wanted to move into a file folder.So he creates the folder but then can't figure out how to move the file INTO it.Menu options, touch-dragging, holding down the icon for the image hoping for a menu nothing.He sees that he can move the file between phone memory and his SD card... but he doesn't want to do that. But when I get e-mails in Japanese, they are partly readable (the hiragana and katakana are visible and displayed correctly, but the kanji don't show up properly). Mar 19, 2010I have a LG Xenon GR500 phone and whenever I try to send or receive files via MMS my phone tells me "My Stuff Folder is Full - Delete files". I am using a 2GB memory card and all defaults are set to this folder. I have moved everything from Ringtones to Pictures to the memory card and deleted every single nonessential file from the phone. When checking the Phone Common memory, it shows 179886KB in use and 108KB free. 170900KB is listed as "Others" and when I go to the "Other Files" folder, it is empty. I have done a Master Reset on the phone and I am at my wits end with this thing. Does ANYONE have any idea whats going on here?

Feb 1, 2010So I received a Canadian Rogers LG Xenon a couple days ago, I am not able to get any gmail apps to function on it (gmail, maps etc).After some troubleshooting I think it is because of the fact that the Access point settings in the phone are incorrect (read: not all entered)yet they are locked and not editable.For the rogers Internet Profile which is used for Application Data usage it did not have a user-name and password setup for the account.

When i look on the phone it does appear to have these settings (minus username/password which are blank) so.I tried to simply create a new Profile (new profile name also) to added the user-name and password but as soon as I enter the internet.com address the phone indicates that this access point already has a profile associated to it and you can not duplicate entries.Rogers Technical support also told me their "support" phone in the office was setup the exact same way and they could not edit it, and they do not 'support' gmail apps....I know other people have Rogers branded phones that are able to access gmail apps, could someone please verify if there accounts have the username and passwords set on their devices.The lady also said that the sim card is were this data is stored and that I should try putting my sim into a different phone to see if I could edit these settings there.....this doesn't sound correct to me, as this is my sim from my old phone were I manually entered all of these values.

Aug 14, 2015I distinctly remember setting a separate ring-tone for one of my favorites. But then, out of the blue, her ring tone switched to the default. I was just trying to edit the contact. But when I select a new ring tone, it no longer previews. I can select one, but not have it play right away.
I tried powering the phone off and back on, but still cannot preview the ring tones. I played around with the "compose ringtones" option that makes a ring tone out of the phone number, but that doesn't work because it does it for each phone number for each favorite. So that I would have to memorize more than 10 similar ring tones. But at least I could press the play button and preview the tones. That tells me it is not the default sound playing app that is the issue.

I recently tried to get a new ringtone from iTunes and all I get anymore is "Tone not available for this device. A device that can run iOS5.0 or later is required." I get this for ever ringtone now. Even ones that worked just a few months back.
Am I just out of the ringtone list forever now?

Jun 16, 2012i bought the app and i have the app.instructions say to go to devices-my i hone-apps. which i have done. it says to click on a ringtone then select all. this part won't work. left-click does nothing nor does ctrl+a,which it says to use. after i eventually do select them all i will then put in a new folder,etc. i just can't select them all to go to the next step. anyone know how to get this to work?
