I have a new N8 and the camera flash does not work. I have tried it in automatic mode and manually set it to on with no result. I have also tried a reboot and this also had no effect.
View 16 RepliesSo I received a Canadian Rogers LG Xenon a couple days ago, I am not able to get any gmail apps to function on it (gmail, maps etc).After some troubleshooting I think it is because of the fact that the Access point settings in the phone are incorrect (read: not all entered)yet they are locked and not editable.For the rogers Internet Profile which is used for Application Data usage it did not have a user-name and password setup for the account.

When i look on the phone it does appear to have these settings (minus username/password which are blank) so.I tried to simply create a new Profile (new profile name also) to added the user-name and password but as soon as I enter the internet.com address the phone indicates that this access point already has a profile associated to it and you can not duplicate entries.Rogers Technical support also told me their "support" phone in the office was setup the exact same way and they could not edit it, and they do not 'support' gmail apps....I know other people have Rogers branded phones that are able to access gmail apps, could someone please verify if there accounts have the username and passwords set on their devices.The lady also said that the sim card is were this data is stored and that I should try putting my sim into a different phone to see if I could edit these settings there.....this doesn't sound correct to me, as this is my sim from my old phone were I manually entered all of these values.

It goes on and stays on untill I switch it off by pushing slider down for few seconds. Accidental pressing of slider is excluded as it happens even when phone is laying on my desc. When I notice this I switch it off but it happened few times in the pocket and flash is draining battery.I just send few SMS and observe that flash goes on for a moment but switches off. I wander if flash is somehow related to notification of SMS or other messages?
