May 15, 2012I have two children who have shared an Apple ID for the iPod Touches. The older is now getting an iPhone and is old enough to manage his own ID. My question is, if we set him up with a completely new Apple ID, will he be able to sync the phone with iTunes as a new device, even though iTunes currently syncs with his iPod? I guess what I'm asking is, can two different Apple ID's/devices sync with the same iTunes without messing up either device or getting the wrong information sync'd?

May 2, 2010I have never tried in-app purchases so I am not even sure if what I am getting is normal or should it work.I downloaded an app and when I click on buy a window pops up and says " Checking Purchase request" then it just goes away and nothing happens. No error, no popup no clue what it even did.I removed appsync as suggested by a few sites but it still isn't working.

Aug 3, 2010So I went to transfer purchases from my iPhone today, and something weird came up.Screen shot 2010-08-03 at 8.42.21 PM.png..iTunes is automatically putting in this guy's email address into the Apple ID field.I don't know who this guy is, but I'm sure he's not happy about his email just floating around in random people's iTunes accounts.So why would this be happening?My whole library is empty at the moment since I'm waiting on the optibay converter to deliver.My iPhone has never been with anyone else.I don't have anybody in my phone as the email address.My address book on OSX is empty as well except with my contact, and it has my email address in it.I did jailbreak my iPhone yesterday if that has anything to do with it.

May 23, 2010Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong section. Please move it if necessary.OK, I live in the UK, and set up a US iTunes account a while ago funded by my US virtual credit card, which seemed to work peferctly well up until about two weeks ago.Now, iTunes tells me that I need to supply a US based funding source, so no major problem, I would simply use US iTunes cards in future.However, the last batch of apps/songs I purchased appears not to have come off my virtual VISA card, but instead has put my iTunes account into a -$24.99 balance.I would like to know the best way to clear this balance, so I can carry on using the account.I tried adding a UK credit card, but it wouldn't accept it, again saying it wasn't US funded.I set up a US PayPal account, with a US address, funded by a UK credit card. The PayPal account is fine. I can send/receive money from it, no problem, and currently have a $30 balance on it.I then tried to use this US PayPal account to fund my US iTunes account, but again, it said the PayPal account needed to be funded from a US funded source. Even though it is a US PayPal account, with a US address, iTunes must still check the actual credit card associated with it and be smart enough to determine that the 16 digit number is not a US credit card number.I even thought the $30 balance on the US PayPal account would be sufficient to clear the iTunes balance, but no, it still wants a US funded source to be linked to PayPal. So, any suggestions on how to clear the negative balance on this account (from the UK) ?What if I was to redeem a $25 US iTunes card against my account. Would that immediately get applied to the negative balance and clear it?Hopefully, some iTunes guru will be able to give me a suggestion or two.Thanks, and sorry for the long post, but I wanted to give as much info as possible as to what I have tried already.

Jun 16, 2012iTunes (updated yesterday) and iPhone 4s are up to date with updates. When my phone synched yesterday, I lost all my music, except my most recent purchases. I also lost all my videos. Apps are not affected whatsoever.
When I look at the phone in iTunes, I can see all my music & movies listed as being on the phone but there is an "!" next to all the songs. The capacity bar shows what should be the correct amount, and there is about 10 gig of space free.
However, when I sync the phone with itunes, the capacity bar begins with what is currently (or accessible) on the phone, and then jumps to where it actually should be while it is on step 4, but then goes back to the lower amount it goes into step 5.

1) Do you use the same iTunes account on both phones? Obviously if I purchase an app I would like my wife to not have to purchase it as well.
