Mar 23, 2011So I updated my Curve to the new version 5. I noticed that there was no more Keyboard Lock/Password Lock. From my previous software, it was named Keyboard Lock and I set it as one of my convenience keys. After the update, I noticed that it no longer existed. A friend of mine purchased a brand new Curve 8520 with the update already installed of course. She had the Keyboard Lock but it was named Password Lock instead. I have been searching for ways to get this feature back to my Blackberry because I feel it is more convenient rather than the "silent/mute mode" button located on the top of my device. Jun 16, 2012My mother (age 68), keeps changing her password and forgets it. She also turns on sim lock without remembering the password. Can't explain why she does it. This has been a weekly event since getting the phone. She did the same to new hp pc. After 6 hours with tech support they deemed it owner damage. After sending it back and $400 it's fixed. We set it up with an account for her and a locked admin account. This won't happen again to the pc.
I've looked through all the docs and can't find any way to lock the settings. There must be. What if your kid watching a video or playing a game- goes in and starts pushing buttons in settings?

He works in an business area where information security is at a premium. As such he doesn't store any secure information on his phone. Â
I totally understand and respect his decision, however there's an Achilles heel to his methodology. Like most business oriented people the main flow of company information comes in the form of email. Not getting that instant access on your phone can be a detriment. Currently when he has down time he'll open up a browser on his phone and log into his webmail. It works, but it's just not as effective as having the email on the iPhone and having the alerts. My question being, is there a way he can lock down his mail? Is there an app that would require an additional password to open Mail? Or is there an option so that the Mail can only be opened with a fingerprint?

Dec 2, 2014I've had my iPhone4s for nearly three years as a Birthday gift, and have recently been having serious issues since iOS 8 with the speed of my iPhone, so I was recommended by a ton of Apple users to do a full Restore and to update to the newest iOS 8.1.1 using my PC through iTunes. I did this (Which was a pain from the start) then during the startup of the device I was asked for my AppleID and Password? I apparently don't know my AppleID and Password, as according to the linked preview of the email used to lock my device, wasn't my main iTunes email? I don't know it! I know I must of created and used one a year or so ago when first updating to iOS 7, but at this moment in time (And most probably forever)Â ...
I don't know it! What OR how can I can bypass this pointless security measure? Is their any possible way for Apple to do some sort of Blacklist test on my IMEI for them to know it's NOT stolen and in fact my phone for SEVERAL years?
