IPhone :: How To Reinstate All Apps After Wiping IPhone?
Apr 28, 2012
AT&T is phasing out 2G phones in NYC, so I wiped my iPhone before taking it in for a swap. Then the swap was delayed, so I wanted to put everything back in place. I seem to have succeeded with everything but the apps. Only about half my apps reappeared. I have tried to sync them all back onto the phone, but all I get is the 22. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Thank you.
Info:
iPhone 3G, iOS 3.1.3, This is an Original iPhone (2G)
i tried to update my iphone 5s to the ios 7.1.1 update but it asked me to connect to my itunes which i did it then said restore and update so i followed on and did so once i have done this the iphone started up and wiped all my data contacts messages apps everything what can i do?
I need to remove my blackberry id so I can reinstate the correct information. My wife and I have the same phone but her ID info is on both phones. How can I achieve this.
Not a big deal, but I remember there was a little black cloth in the box with my iPhone 3g when I got it two years ago. Even my 27" iMac just came with a bigger version of said cloth. I opened my iPhone 4 last night and no cloth? I guess they didn't feel the need to include it this time???
I had no idea that my 3G phone came with a black cloth. I guess I never looked hard enough. I was opening it up today and noticed it. I cleaned off my iPhone 4 screen and now its really clean (of course once i touch it, it will change).. So is it ok to wipe the screen with the cloths? I'm sure it is.. but afterwards, I started focusing on the feel of the screen.I was thinking that when I first opened the phone.. the screen was really smooth and my fingers would slide without resistance.. now I have myself thinking that after wiping it off.. its stickier and gives resistance.
I want to sell my phone, and was wondering if the proper thing to do is wipe my phone, activate it, and THEN remove the SIM card. Or do I only have to wipe it and remove the SIM card and not worry about activation?
My laptop had an unexpected failure and had to be reformatted. My iphone was synced to the itunes that was installed on it.
I have reformatted and reinstalled itunes on the machine now and would like to be able to manage my iphone music on it again. However I am unable to do so. Checking the "manually manage music" option results in being told that to do this I will have to reformat my iphone.
I don't want to reformat my iphone. How can I use my iphone with this computer and itunes, manually managing music, without reformatting it?
i switched to android and the phone company disabled my iMessage. but about a week ago i logged into a mac with my user id and now i can no longer receive text messages from iPhone users. it gets sent to the iMessage on my mac. how can i disable it completely without wiping the phone
I was trying to back up my phone with the blackberry desktop manager. I kept entering my password (I couldn't remember exactly what it was, so I went online and reset it for the last attempt). I got the email confirmation that it was reset, so I entered the new, reset password. It said it was wrong anyway and started wiping my device. EVERYTHING -- all my contacts, all my sms, all my work emails, everything. I popped out the battery when it was at about 6% of the wiping process but whenever I turn it back on it starts wiping again.how can I stop this? It is my phone, I entered the correct password, I only wanted to back up my data and now I'm losing everything instead.
as like the thread title, why do we must wiping OS first before we upgrade / downgrade tour OS? i never did that, even once. i just did it with loader.exe file and i think i always got success on it. does anyone can explain to me with technically explanation?
I am selling my blackberry 8330. I wiped the handheld, but when the person who is buying it from me went to activate it. my email address is still set up on that phone. How do I delete the email addresses so they don't receive my emails?
I have a 2 month old AT&T 8310. It currently has a corporate IT policy, and all of my contacts, emails etc. I want to wipe it clean so that it can be sold. Here is the procedure that a guy at the AT&T store gave me to remove the IT policy and wipe all the data. Before I try this, do you think it will work?
The issue I am facing is that my Bold will power up, load 2/3 of the way, then proceed to a white screen with a wiping status bar. It will then freeze around 54% (not always 54%, maybe 48%, sometimes up to 50%), reboot, and repeat.Blackberry is recognized in Loader and Desktop Manager however will fail to connect to JVM because it will repeat the wiping. It does load the software (only if I catch it with the red LED and screen off). I tried the latest desktop manager and the latest updates. I've pull the battery many many times for long periods of times.
i bought the Blackberry Torch 9860 around 2 weeks back.due to some reason, an app downloaded from appworld was causing problems during the battery pull of my device, so i did a clean wipe of the handheld.upon restarting the device i found the Blackberry digital compass missing, it was there before wiping as i used to use it often. i can't find it under applications list when connected to desktop manager. theres no installation file available on the net.
So a friend of my father's passed on his BB Curve to me after I lost a phone. I'm just realizing it's set for corporate use so I can't set up a personal email or download certain apps I want. I have performed a wipe of the phone already, but all it did was delete the previous owner's information and things, not reset the phone to factory settings. Is there a way to make this phone work for my personal use?
i have a blackberry storm 2, and i need to fully wipe it, i tried with bbsak but i does'nt solve my problemm i'm having multiclick issues since i updated to .517, and when i wipe with bbsak it seems that it just remove some cods from the os so that it gives the 507 error. i need another option tu FULLY wipe my phone.
My curve 8310 that i got yrseterday keeps frezzing every 2 min it was on 02 and i had it unlocked to use on vodafone i have put the latest os on and tried the next one down but as soon as i put the phone down for longer then 1 min it will just frezze on the trackerball but i can press the caps lock and the num lock and they work .ive treid wipeing the phone on bbsak and then loading the os then doing the security wipe but it still frezzez up on me i cant think what else to do
In my thread of "application installation issues", it seems to be determined that my carrier who I got the phone from, is blocking the install of applications as I get a 910 error, application authorization failure, when i try to install an application from: [URL]. After some searching, I've come across BBSAK, which I use to wipe the phone and reload the oS. I've also come across the tool "vendelete" which deletes the vendor.xml files.
So I do the following: 1. Uninstall the original carrier OS from pc. 2. Install OS from different carrier to pc. 3. Use vendelete to get rid of the xml files which it says no xml files were found. 4. Use bbsak to wipe the oS. 5. Reload the OS.
But when the phone boots up, it still shows the sign of the carrier which I don't want, so I presume nothing has been updated? since when I try to install the application again, I still get the 910 error.
I can't seem to find my way to FULLY wipe when I want to flash or try a new ROM. I just installed an RRO that resulted in SystemUI crash, I then went to reflash the ROM, same results. Decided to WIPE in TWRP and reflash the rom, the SystemUI FC is still there ! Wipe, Flash ROM, then Wipe, same result... What's wrong with my TWRP ? I am on the latest. I just restored an old backup, and I have the same FC of system UI !
I've been having problems with my blackberry after using the twitter app it froze and an app error has occured while other amounts of application error signs have shown up too!I need to know if there is way of fixing my phone by wiping everything off and starting with a new clean software?
I own a LG Nexus 5 (non rooted), and I've been using this photo app called VSCOcam solely as my phone camera for the last 2 years, and I've taken thousands and thousands of photos with it. The phone has been amazing for the last 2 years but it is time for an upgrade.
So I went to backup my phone and realized that VSCOcam had screwed me... The app has its own internal library so unless you "export" the photos, they are not accessible in /sdcard. Someone in XDA forums had the app and told me that the photos are stored inside "/data/data/com.vsco.cam/files/images" and unless I root I wont have access.
Now heres the cycle of stupidness which I think you all can guess. In order to root -> I need to unlock my bootloader, and to unlock my bootloader -> I need to factory reset!
I've tried just about everything to root my phone without factory resetting, so far none has succeeded.I contacted the devs for VSCOcam and they told me to highlight the photos individually and export...
What should I do? Should I just bite the bullet and lose ALL MY PHOTOS?? The app is currently listed as 12gb in size...
TL;DR - VSCOcam hid thousands of photos in "/data/data/com.vsco.cam/files/images" which is unreachable without root, and to root means to factory reset my phone wiping all the photos I'm trying to get in the first place...
I was currently on a mod and it keeps on freezing so i decided to revert to stock. Now, when i wiped phone using recovery tool, it is stuck on SONY logo and will not continue to boot. I have also tried to go recovery but it won't.
I was trying to back up my phone and entered the password wrongly and saw a message wiping all my data, contact, calendar has been all erased what to do I have lots of data what to do.
