My wife and I both have iPhone 4. Starting yesterday she can reply to texts that I start but if she creates a new text to me I don't recieve it. I've only gone as far as doing a hard reset on both phones with no change. Everything else ( mail and phone) is working as far as I can tell.
When my daughter sends me a text from her Blackberry Torch I cannot simply reply to it. I can type a response but it will not send. I can however go into my contacts and hit send msg to her that way but it is frustrating, time consuming and annoying.
Dear Nokia Messaging customer, The Nokia Messaging account you have been enjoying came as part of the purchase of your Nokia phone. According to our records, that phone has been transferred to another person. Your Nokia Messaging account has been deactivated. Your account is safe - it cannot be accessed by the new owner of your Nokia phone. In addition, you can sign up for a new Nokia Messaging account for use on another Nokia phone. Please visit the Nokia Messaging website (http://email.nokia.com/account) to see a list of Nokia phones that run with Nokia Messaging. We look forward to serving you again. Sincerely, Nokia Messaging team *** This email was generated automatically. Please do not reply to it.What records are you talking about Nokia. My E72 has not been transferred to another person.
So what gives you the right to arbitrarily decide that someones mobile has been transferred to another person and act by freezing my nokia messaging account. I have 2 nokias an E90 and now an E72. I have 3 sim cards a UK one and 2 UAE ones and I use them interchangeably. They are all mine, belonging to one person, so why have you judged that my E72 has moved to " another person". This is outrageous nokia.
Everything works like a charm, I can send e-mails, and receive them and everything else this wonderful little piece if outstanding technology is supposed to do, ... except reply to an email. I've read many, many solutions found on the internet all day today to the point I am exhausted, so I have no other choice than to take some of your valuable time to assist me. I did the Options/Advanced/Service Book delete and restore CMIME trick and no change.
My nexus 5 has stopped notifying me when someone replies to me in the course of a conversation. It alerts me when a new text comes in but not once the conversation is in progress.
I cannot send when I reply to a message from my blackberry. There is no send option. Just save draft or full menu which does not have send function either. Need a fix ASAP.
Also, another wierd thing is I set up my profile so that I can have an alert when email messages come in and it does not work. All the other notifications work fine with that profile and the try me works fine but does not work when email messages come in.
Whenever I send a text message ( Keywords for activaton / cancellation of some services e.g. ACT VLU99) to my service provider's helpline no. ( in my case 111) I always get a reply message saying "You have entered the wrong keyword..." I tried sending EXACTLY the same message after changing my SIM to other phone a Nokia N73 and the message gets accepted. This has happened atlest on 3 occassions.
We have a contract IT person, so they are not helpful, but we do not have a BES. When I read or reply to messages in outlook the original message gets sent to the email on the blackberry again. Is there a way to turn this off?
I've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.
From this morning, i obtain a blank screen when i try to create or read a text message on my Nokia 3110c. The blank screen disappear itself after 10 sec, back to home page.Seems that also some issues appears at the same time: Music player cannot read the library, error message at boot saying "Theme cannot be loaded".
I updated the software without success. Suppressed all messages or music, checked the free memory, nothing help.
As the title suggests, this started happening from the moment i started using the "Email" feature in my phone. Even though I have successfully removed it (I don't have a fixed data plan), while writing SMS's the "To" field switches to "abc" mode, as opposed by the normal "123" mode. And no matter how much I press the arrow button to change it, the moment I close messages and open it again, it reverts back to "abc" mode.
I have a Bold 9930 on the Sprint network. I get a lot of mass text messages from friends where they may go back and on a subject. However, I can only reply to the "one" person that sent the message. I know two people with Bolds that can do it, but they have different network providers.
My E71 used to work fine in car hands free via bluetooth - now it pairs OK but then gives "unable to create bluetooth connection" message. Another E71 works fine.
I did try (twice) to e-mail Nokia care - each time I filled in all details only to get a Gateway timeout message when I tried to send it - and all details wiped out!
Under "Menu" then "Call Settings", does "Text Message Reply" work when enabled?Supposedly if you press the power button when a call is coming in, the call will be ignored and you will receive the option to have a "canned" text message sent to the ignored caller. When I press the power button while an incoming call is ringing from a mobile number, my screen goes dark, i.e. I get no prompts to select one of the text message responses and send it. When I wake the phone, I have a missed call indication in the notification area and that's all
Many times, I need to send a quick email to all meeting invitees. I could do this with my blackberry - -but I can't figure out how to do this with my iphone.
I'm having a problem with texting. Send a text to frien and my wife's text and mine will recieve the response. My friend is sending the text only to me... What can I do?
I have an iPhone 4S with AT&T. I can receive a text message from a non-iPhone Verizon phone, but I can't answer it. I get an error message that says the number is invalid because it isn't a ten digit number. I enter a ten digit number for the Sender in my Contacts, but I receive the same error message.
Since I got my iPhone 4S when I text my wife her replies come under my old hotmail address name. Very strange indeed. I have tried deleting her as a contact and then renaming her but still the same. The old hotmail address isn't even listed as one of my contacts?
I just purchased my iPhone 5s and have had an iMac 09. Whenever I text someone on my iphone, they reply only to my mac and i cant see what they said on my phone.
How can I configure a "reply to" address in iOS8 on my iPhone 6. I have an IEEE.org forwarding to an att.net address (at this time) when I reply from my iPhone I want the "reply to" address the recipient sees and the address used when they hit "reply" to be the IEEE.org address. I could do this in iOS6 and iOS7 but can't find it in iOS8. I am hoping I am just overlooking it...
