Jun 25, 2011am trying to fully clean up my phone for the next potential owner by doing a cache wipe, wiping all data from the phone and doing an SD card format.I had no problems getting into the recovery console and doing the cache & data wipe, but every time I go into settings/storage (in the normal phone powered up mode), the option to format the SD card is greyed out? I was able to connect the DX in PC mode to my computer and manually delete the items on it, but I wanted to do a clean format.

Mar 25, 2012I set a 'slide to unlock' lock screen image in Settings/Wallpaper or via the Photos app but when I lock the phone and then turn it on the image always shows the original battery gauge picture. This is only since I upgraded to v5.1. I've tried disabling the lock screen password but with no difference.

Jun 29, 2012I live out in the boonies in Montana. I'm on an "Extended Network". They only way I can get my Razr Maxx to check for updates is to put it in Airplane mode, then turn on my wifi. Only then does the option to check for updates become available. If this is the only way I can check for an update, am I stuck waiting until either Verizon or Moto puts the update out for manual pulling of the update? I don't think it will get pushed to me while i'm on an extended network

Jun 4, 2012Whenever I lock the screen, and then get a text message, the screen will stay lit for a really long time. Like longer than it used to. I usually have to end up pressing the lock button to make it go off, but not until it I realize that it's been lit for a long time.

Apr 14, 2015Prior to updating to Lollipop I could operate music from the lock screen. I also had the option of adding widgets to the lock screen by swiping from the right. Since the update all of this has gone. I can't do anything without unlocking the phone. In security there is no longer an option for allowing lock screen widgets. How do I correct this?

Instead of this cool feature, my S6 gives a vibration or the LED lights up without automatically light up the screen which is annoying cause I need to pick up my phone and hit the home button to see the notifications.Can I had this feature on my besides that superb S6?

Oct 5, 2011I often switch the feature to have to slide the screen lock to use the phone on or off. It's currently off and I can't find the menu item to turn it on again! Where was it again? I've got a standard Motorola Defy 2.2.By the way - the only reason I'm always switching it around is because when I'm expecting a lot of calls/texts, I turn it on. Because when I get a text and the phone's in my pocket, I often press something when taking it out as getting a text/call unlocks the screen.For the rest of the time - I find it irritating to have to press the power button and then slide the screen - why both? It's not like it's hard to accidentally press the power button on the Defy!In a way - that "in pocket detection" option sounds ideal but I found it kept cutting in when I didn't want it to.Maybe I can do something with that "tasker" app so that when I press the power button, it unlocks the screen.where is that screen lock option again?
