I got an LG eve 2 days ago brand new from a private sale. It's locked to Rogers. I can adjust the brightness as it's greyed out. My sister has the same phone and she is able to enter the brightness adjustments.
View 3 Repliesam trying to fully clean up my phone for the next potential owner by doing a cache wipe, wiping all data from the phone and doing an SD card format.I had no problems getting into the recovery console and doing the cache & data wipe, but every time I go into settings/storage (in the normal phone powered up mode), the option to format the SD card is greyed out? I was able to connect the DX in PC mode to my computer and manually delete the items on it, but I wanted to do a clean format.

They only way I can get my Razr Maxx to check for updates is to put it in Airplane mode, then turn on my wifi. Only then does the option to check for updates become available. If this is the only way I can check for an update, am I stuck waiting until either Verizon or Moto puts the update out for manual pulling of the update? I don't think it will get pushed to me while i'm on an extended network

I'm running stock 5.1.1, and even though my auto brightness is off my phone occasionally dims my display when it's on full brightness. It's not running particularly hot (37 degrees C according to my battery widget) so I don't know what's causing it to dim.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWith my old Xperia Z1c, when adaptive brightness is on and the environment light is darkest, the screen brightness may be adjusted to, let's say, 0. Even you drag the brightness control bar to leftmost, the dimmest brightness you can get is still 0. But in Xperia Z5, you can go dimmer than that with the control bar, and this dim cannot be achieved using the same control bar if you disable the adaptive brightness. If one component cannot do something in manual mode, should not be able to do that thing in automatic mode either. So I believe that this is a bug.

View 4 Replies View Relatedhi all. just today my girlfriends 3g somehow greyed out the wifi in the settings. i have tried reseting all the network settings and such but ive only got it to work once and once the phone was reset the wifi was greyed out again. the phone is jailbroken on 3.1.2 and unlocked with blackra1n on tmobile. but yeah on sbsettings for some reason the wifi is on and when i turn it off and reset the phone it turns on again but in settings the wifi is still greyed out and it says no wifi. any advice would be awesome. i have been googling it all day and trying to look all over the forums but no luck. every time everyone says just reset network settings and such but thats not the case.

Ive searched the forums and everybody says to turn off the app you got to application manager/all then hit the turn off button. Well, my turn off button is greyed out. I've cleared cache, cleared data, cleared defaults. I've turned off flipboard and google newstand.This piece of crap app is still running and draining my battery.

I've read everything I can find on greyed out apps and can't find a solution. I've re-installed itunes 3 times, I have restrictions turned off on my iphone, I've transfered purchased apps from my iphone to iTunes synced my iphone many times. Still with iphone plugged into itunes and apps checked I can't access any of my apps. The top half of the app screen is greyed out. I can access my files sharing apps on bottom half of screen.

At first I thought they got deleted and was really upset but upon exploration I have found them. When I go into the media file and go to explore it brings up my device memory then I go to home where there is nothing but I can hide the user folder but when I go into the properties of the user folder I can not unhide it because the hidden button is greyed out. Does anyone know how to change this or fix this? I would really like to have it back to normal! Again I don't have a memory card it is just the user file on the device memory that will not unhide

It is similar to what happened during the outage that happened.I have reinstalled the software (OS 5) O2 won't allow upgrade to OS6. I have deleted the WiFi connection and re installed, but still it won't go white and it is affecting my mobile data usage as my phone is using the network signal for internet rather than WiFi.
