I got an LG eve 2 days ago brand new from a private sale. It's locked to Rogers. I can adjust the brightness as it's greyed out. My sister has the same phone and she is able to enter the brightness adjustments.
View 3 Replies View Relatedhi all. just today my girlfriends 3g somehow greyed out the wifi in the settings. i have tried reseting all the network settings and such but ive only got it to work once and once the phone was reset the wifi was greyed out again. the phone is jailbroken on 3.1.2 and unlocked with blackra1n on tmobile. but yeah on sbsettings for some reason the wifi is on and when i turn it off and reset the phone it turns on again but in settings the wifi is still greyed out and it says no wifi. any advice would be awesome. i have been googling it all day and trying to look all over the forums but no luck. every time everyone says just reset network settings and such but thats not the case.

And when I go to settings the WiFi tab is greyed out, saying "No Wi-Fi", I can't even click on it. am trying to fully clean up my phone for the next potential owner by doing a cache wipe, wiping all data from the phone and doing an SD card format.I had no problems getting into the recovery console and doing the cache & data wipe, but every time I go into settings/storage (in the normal phone powered up mode), the option to format the SD card is greyed out? I was able to connect the DX in PC mode to my computer and manually delete the items on it, but I wanted to do a clean format.

The Wi-fi is always greyed out for open Wifi connections at airports, hotels, etc. I did manage to get it to turn white once but that was for a WEP-protected connection where I connected manually. Are there some settings that are incorrect? (e.g. the APN username and password is blank in TCP/IP menu).

They only way I can get my Razr Maxx to check for updates is to put it in Airplane mode, then turn on my wifi. Only then does the option to check for updates become available. If this is the only way I can check for an update, am I stuck waiting until either Verizon or Moto puts the update out for manual pulling of the update? I don't think it will get pushed to me while i'm on an extended network

The WiFi symbol has stayed greyed out even though it says it has connected to my WiFi, home network. It is similar to what happened during the outage that happened.I have reinstalled the software (OS 5) O2 won't allow upgrade to OS6. I have deleted the WiFi connection and re installed, but still it won't go white and it is affecting my mobile data usage as my phone is using the network signal for internet rather than WiFi.
