i have a blackberry torch 9800 and it has worked fine for about a month and then the other day it rebooted itself and since then it has not been recieving signal properly i have checked and it isnt the sim card.
I am having an awful time loosing cellular data - can't send or receive text messages, use Safari or Find my Friends etc. I came into the forums looking for help and found posts about the personal hotspot constantly spinning. I looked at mine and it was too. I did a hard reset and it finally stopped. Immediately I got connectivity back. I don't know if that is causing my loosing internet or not but it seems coincidence that when it stopped spinning I got it back.Simply going into and out of airplane mode and toggling cellular data on and off never restores connectivity. Often it will restore when I leave the building. But I have 3-4 bars of signal and 4G listed as available when I'm inside. Also, something is chewing up my battery. I was at 100% when I left the house at 8 am and at 65% at 10 am with the phone sitting on the desk doing nothing.
My wife is on a school trip to the US. Meanwhile, I am at home in Canada. I am texting her, but I found it odd she never replies and vice versa. So, she discovered that her iPhone (latest iOS 5 release) keeps trying to send the message as an iMessage. It is not reverting to SMS after a given time, as it should and as I have seen it do before. I have tried it now also and my wife only receives my messages when she has a wifi connection (she does not have data roaming enabled). It seems like my iPhone too continously tries to send the message as an iMessage and it does not switch to SMS after a certain timeout time. The message that the iPhone continously tries to send as an iMessage never fails, however the status does not change until the next time my wife is in wifi coverage and the message is delivered.
wi-fi used to work well but suddenly it stopped although I'm having a full signal, it says it's connected but when open Safari it says no internet connection, I restarted my phone and re- named my network but still no internet
Yesterday, my iphone just stopped receiving calls. Everything else works fine (making calls, sms, email..ect.).The only way i found out were people telling me that they were trying to call me all day. So i called my iphone, it rings and rings then goes to voice mail. The phone does not show missed call or anything, though if i turn the screen on it will act like i just started getting a call (but not all the time). Or, when it does ring, i might ring once on my end. It is jailbroken, its been like that for two months, the only thing I've done recently was put a movie on it.Should i restore my phone, has anyone else had this problem?
anyone else having problems with the gmail push notifications right now on their iphones? i stopped receiving push notifications for 2 days ago. I still receive push messages from gmail from time to time, but thats like 40 min after i receive the email in the inbox.
My phone has stopped sending and receiving email. When i follow the troubleshooting on line it tells me to go into advanced settings and swithc the smtp server to on and then off again. Unfortunately when I get to that screen, its frozen, and wont let me move the sliders across.
Suddenly, I am not receiving group texts on my iPhone5. It appears than I can send them, but I don't receive them. I haven't had this problem in the past. The group text that I am not receiving is between 2 people that I have sent and received group texts from before. T-Mobile suggested turning the settings on and off again, they wanted me to delete all my old text threads, which I don't want to do. I'd rather save that as a last resort.
I don't seem to be receiving sms messages that are sent to me when I am out of signal. I go back in to full signal and I never get them until I ask the person to send another sms, at which point I get all the backlogged ones from that person. I still am waiting to receive sms from a friend who sent it over a week ago.
My Curve 8520 has stopped getting signal. It just stopped working!
I can't get a picture but on "Manage Connections" where it says "Mobile Network" it says "On" in green font but then the little symbol next to that is a white horizontal line. (which to the best of my knowledge means that there is no connection) I also know that I am in an area with signal so it's definitly not that.
I got the Photon because of the raving reviews of signal strength. I'm finding that the signal is weaker and tends to roam more than my Palm pre. Is this normal for a PHOTON? I would rarely roam at work before but find the photon signal roams alot. Is there a setting or something I can do? Maybe a bad phone? My home signal also tends to wildely fluctuate between one bar and five bars.
Iv got blackberry 8520 with vodaphone. It suddenly has stopped getting signal most of the time in the house. I know its not sim as sim works fine in other handsets and no prob with handset and service provider say its a blackberry problem so won't help. Iv looked under manage connections and doesn't appear to be option for changing to 3g as service provider suggested.
All of a sudden on Saturday my nokia E5 stopped picking up a signal and started freezing, the text msg sign is also flashing on the screen. I had used the maps app earlier on in the day so don't know if this has anything to do with it. Its not the sim card because I have it working in another phone. I always know the E5 was a phone!
I just got an E70-2 direct from Nokia/Letstalk.com unlocked. I plopped in my AT&T SIM (Cingular blue) card and everything worked. I could make/receive calls and send and receive SMS Messages without problem
Starting yesterday (after working for 3 days) I stopped being able to receive SMS messages. I can send them, but receiving them does not work. Cingular hasn't given me any clues yet. I tried rebooting the E70, reinstalling the software from scratch, nothing seems to make it work.
I took the SIM card out of the E70 and put it back in my old Nokia 6820 and all the stored SMS messages came pouring in.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Cingular did update my IMEI number in their database for the new E70. It is very odd that it worked for a while then stopped working. It makes me certain the phone is at least compatible with Cingular.
I am in the US also and again on Cingular Blue (formerly AT&T Wireless).
I've had my BB for around a year and about a week ago, I got a message saying I needed to verify my BB details to keep receiving email. I haven't been well and among everything else I just forgot about it.Anyway, I realised a couple of days ago that my emails had stopped coming through, so I went to my email set up options and it gave me the option to log in to my device. I filled all my details and hit 'log in' but it refuses to register that I've typed in my username. No matter what, it always comes up saying 'Blank usernamee. Type a valid username'.I don't use my phone for work, so it's not the end of the world if I've completely screwed it up and can't get the email back, but it's inconvenient and annoying.
My blackberry has been working fine for ages, but has suddenly stopped receiving emails. I can still send emails okay. I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back again, but that doesn't help.
