View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my BB for around a year and about a week ago, I got a message saying I needed to verify my BB details to keep receiving email. I haven't been well and among everything else I just forgot about it.Anyway, I realised a couple of days ago that my emails had stopped coming through, so I went to my email set up options and it gave me the option to log in to my device. I filled all my details and hit 'log in' but it refuses to register that I've typed in my username. No matter what, it always comes up saying 'Blank usernamee. Type a valid username'.I don't use my phone for work, so it's not the end of the world if I've completely screwed it up and can't get the email back, but it's inconvenient and annoying.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8900 running v4.6.1.231...I am on an Enterprise Data plan, with emails synched up to both my office outlook email, and my personal yahoo email. At around 11:30 yesterday, my yahoo email stopped sending/receiving/synching with my BB, but my office outlook email is working fine.
I tried to go into Email setup with the setup wizard, to see if maybe I had to delete and re-add my yahoo email account, but after about 60 seconds with a load message "connecting to email settings" I got a message that said "Your devide had a problem connecting to the server" with retry and cancel button - I retried with no avail. Not the most tech savvy person here, but was wondering if this is a problem on my end? Or something on the BB side?
I started having this issue yesterday--I have YMail, Hotmail and GMail accounts all in the stock e-mail app on my Nexus 5. I also use Lightflow for LED notifications and have had no problems. I noticed I was no longer receiving the taskbar icon notifications in the upper left for new e-mails, nor the Lightflow LED notifications. I still get Hangout/text notifications, not sure about missed calls.
1) Confirmed notifications set to On in the e-mail app for each of the e-mail accounts
2) Turned phone off and then back on
3) Cleared data and cleared cache in e-mail app -- didn't work
4) Uninstalled Lightflow app
5) Deleted all 3 accounts from the e-mail app, then added them back in; rebooted -- still no notifications
I don't use the stock GMail app for GMail since I prefer to just have one icon to use to keep track of all my e-mail accounts.
My 8220 was working fine and the next morning I didn't have any email which was odd. I called Pioneer, my carrier out of Kingfisher, Ok, and they didn't get back with me. By the end of that day, I hadn't received any calls, which was odd. I was able to text and call out. I took it into a service center the next morning and it didn't work when they called my number so the tech popped the battery out and put it back in and it was totally dead. When we tried to turn it on, only the red light would flash and nothing else. It was sent into my carrier and they tell me they can't fix it, don't know what is wrong. Any ideas because I'm not really happy that my $300 plus phone didn't last 6 months! I had dropped it once when it was about 2 months old but it never had a problem afterward.
View 6 Replies View RelatedA year and a half ago when I got my BB Pearl from my employer I set it up to also receive email from my existing personal Comcast account. Just before Christmas, my BB suddenly stopped receiving any emails from that account. I have rebooted the BB multiple times since then, including removing and replacing the battery. That didn't help. Today I finally decided to just delete the Comcast account info from the BB and start over on adding it as an existing account. However when I get to the account password field, the normal keyboard function that swaps letters isn't working, so I can't enter my correct password. For example suppose my password is "spry". What I get is "aoet"--the keyboard won't switch in the alternate letter if I delete and re-type, as it does for every other piece of text I've ever entered on the BB.

After this problem, I had sent this to service centre and they said that since new software update has come hence my phone is having this problem and they said it will take 10-12 days to fix this problem All my phone numbers are in this phone and what will I do for 10-12 days without phone?I connected to laptop and updated the Black berry software through update however still no solution.
Today I upgraded the software hoping this will fix this NO SIM recognition issue but no use. This issues had occured in past also but for strange reason was rectified in past.
The trackpad on my BB Curve 9300 has stopped working. At first there were some glitches wherein the trackpad was unresponsive. After a few tries or after restarting the device, it began to work properly again. Just recently the trackpad stop to work altogether. I don't know if this is hardware related or if there's just a problem with software since I saw error messages regarding "java" or something. Also, I don't know if this is related but the problems started just after I added lock protection to my phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BBM has stopped sending or recieving messages.Whenever I try to send a message, it makes the sending symbol that looks like ))) but then a big red cross like this X comes up. I've tried re-booting about 10 times, and also updating my version of BBM to the newest possible version, but nothing has worked. It's not a connection issue, because my internet, 3G, Facebook, Twitter, Texts and Emails are all working. I've tried connecting my phone to my wifi instead of the 3G I pay for, but with still no luck. Also, my data usage is fully topped up and nothing wrong with my service provider O2.
