I don't seem to be receiving sms messages that are sent to me when I am out of signal. I go back in to full signal and I never get them until I ask the person to send another sms, at which point I get all the backlogged ones from that person. I still am waiting to receive sms from a friend who sent it over a week ago.
An I the only one that is experiencing this?
Every time Iam on phone it keeps switching between handset and headset auto and very fast so it keeps cutting every second I installed new bbm .65 everythink working fine then I mistakely downloaded .57 cancelled it when I rebooted phone no bbm, so I reinstalled .65 bbm and it was really laggy and slow so I reinstalled it again and now that is happening to my phone?
View 6 Replies View RelatedJust a couple of days ago, I received a BBM from my daughter, although my cell was turned off for the night. I thought maybe I'd not turned it off. Last night again, I turned it off (I always do every night) and was woken early because not only was my turned off phone receiving messages, it had also enabled my Drive Safely app and the phone was busy reading everything to me.I checked and the phone was off. I still had to push the red phone key to turn it on.I immediately did a battery pull and will hope for the best.Has anyone had this experience?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo for the past couple of days I have been getting SOS where I would normally just have one or two bars. At home it switches from 3G to 3g to EDGE to SOS. It has always switched from 3g to edge and back and forth but almost never see SOS until recently. Then of course at work I'm getting SOS in the mens room where I would normally have again just week signal. I called my carrier and they said there has been cell tower work going on for the past few days and it should end tonight by end of business. I'm a little suspicious since they are supposed to be done by EOB on the same day that I happened to call in about it. I checked with some iphone users in my area and they have not been getting sos. I'm just wondering what you folks think. Does this sound like a probably explanation or should I call back and push a little harder?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince Monday, I have been experiencing problems with my data coverage at work. Some of my BBM's to friends are delayed, I can't get a net connection to use any apps (Facebook, Twitter, Shazam, App World) etc. My 'phone' signal as it were is fine. I receive texts and calls on time no problem.
Does anyone know what could be causing this, and how to fix it? It was fine up until Monday and I havent changed any settings or changed OS's. My data connection is fine everywhere else.I have also noticed, possibly becuase my phone is trying to receive a data signal that my battery is being drained by about 10% an hour.
The wierdest things had happen to my blackberry.Before I go on, it involved 2 simcard.
Simcard A : simcard with BBM and full data service is registered to (Indonesian network)
Simcard B : without BBM registration, etc. (Indonesian network)
This is how it started. I have brought my phone from Indonesia to China. As I tried to use my BBM, it wont work. I tried switching on WIFI but all I got is the dull grey wifi icon. I tried so many setting but it would not work. Remember, I am using simcard A.Now, I pull out simcard A and put simcard B on. I dont know what happen, I start receiving BBM messages. I was so afraid of getting charge for data roaming, I quickly switch connection prefference to 'wifi only' with my WIFI connection on. At the home screen, next to the small antenna icon, it says 'OFF' so i assumed mobile signal is OFF. To my supprise, my BBM is still receiving messages and I can reply them no problem. Again I assumed it was connected through WIFI. What is so weird is, while i was chatting away with WIFI ON (still dull grey icon) and mobile signal OFF, I suddenly receive a phone call.
Can anyone tell me what is going on with my Blackberry? Am I being charge for data roaming while I was chatting away or I was just receiving and sending data through WIFI? but why the calls came in with mobile signal OFF?
Always maintained a very strong 3g signal, 5 bars always no matter where I was. The last 3 or 4 days my signal started dropping like crazy to EDGE - edge - to gps or whatever to no signal. Did everything to try and fix it. Called T-Mobile about the problem and they said no problem we are sending you a new 9700. I will have it Wednesday afternoon. I asked if it will be a new one or refurbished, she said a new one. You can't beat that with a stick. They have the best customer service out of all the carriers. Just wanted to tell my recent experience with my carrier.

It shows the charging signal as tho it is charger but the battery never moves I have never seen anything like this! Looks like I'm goin to have to buy a whole new battery.

About a week ago the 3G/GPRS signal dropped in the flat where I live and ever since then the battery drains really quickly when I'm at home. I can't seem to find a logical answer to the problem. The only thing I'm thinking it could be the Googlemail app constantly trying to get a feed. I don't run any other apps (no weather programs etc). My partner seems to also be having the same problem although she doesn't run any apps.

BIS is set up to forward messages that do not meet filters.This just started happening today, I'm not receiving random emails! It's been working fine for weeks! So starting today, I would be in a conversation with someone, and I won't get a reply. That person sends me another email asking if I got his last email... coming back home and checking (Apple Mail) I realize I'm missing some other emails today as well. It has been working fine since I got it. I've done the routing tables thing and resent service books. Any other ideas? Edit: I've just noticed I'm not receiving my facebook notifications either.

Is there any way to "pause" the receiving of emails while I am in the office, and then I can manually start receiving emails again once I am not at my desk, short of deleting and installing the account every time?
Since Thursday my BB9700 has not been receiving emails regularly. I may get one large batch if e mails a day . However I am getting face book notifications as normal. I have contacted my provider T Mobile who said there is an issue with the Blackberry server currently and they could not help. I have not heard anything about this is this true or are T mobile trying to pass the blame? I have not changed any settings on BB 9700, I am receiving the e mails on my desktop pc. When I try to send an SMS a little red clock appears next to the message and then after a few minutes it says 'Retries Exceeded'. Whenever I place a call it immediately turns up 'Call Failed'.Then I realised I wasn't receiving texts/calls either.All my bills are up to date, Orange have checked twice now that there isn't a bar on my account, I have set it to 2G only and 3G only, neither did anything so it's back to 2G&3G, I've checked I'm connected to the right network, I have pretty much full signal. I can use BBM and 3G reliant apps such as Facebook but I cannot send/receive emails with either of my accounts.I've updated to the latest OS and I even fully wiped the handset. Done numerous battery pulls.
Tested my sim card in a friends Bold and I suddenly received dozens of unread text messages and numerous missed calls.Kind of worried right now, as I bought this second hand ages ago... it wasn't provided with my contract (which was an LG Arena that I sold to help pay for the Bold) and I have no insurance to speak of.
I'm heading to an Orange shop tomorrow to see what they say, but I've got an awful feeling it's done for and I'll have to cope with my old Nokia 3310 (it's not even colour screen!) for the next 6 months while I save up enough money to buy another Bold...

I use Facebook for Blackberry.So here's my problem - a few days ago I checked my Blackberry Bold 9700 and saw that I had received 28 email messages and 8 Facebook notifications.However none of these emails or Facebook notifications was new. They were all ones I had already received that day.
I deleted them all, and guess what - an hour later and they all came back into my email inbox and Facebook notifications.When I went to sleep that night, I woke up with 136 emails and 26 Facebook notifications - ALL OF THEM THE SAME REPEAT EMAILS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
I have been on forums and tried removing my battery and SIM card (not very technical, that) as well as resending the Service Books after doing this. Nothing has solved this problem though.I really hope someone can help please as I'm seriously thinking of ditching my BlackBerry and buying an iPhone where this problem doesn't occur.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the Photon because of the raving reviews of signal strength. I'm finding that the signal is weaker and tends to roam more than my Palm pre. Is this normal for a PHOTON? I would rarely roam at work before but find the photon signal roams alot. Is there a setting or something I can do? Maybe a bad phone? My home signal also tends to wildely fluctuate between one bar and five bars.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI backed up my old BB Curve last week before I went into town to get the new BB Bold.When I came home I did the switching devices thing on my computer with both phones.They both have separate memory cards in but the Curve had all my old stuff; camera pics, voice notes and vids.Since backing up the Curve or switching devices to the Bold all that has disappeared!I thought that was the whole point of backing up something was to not loose it all, but it seems to have done exactly that! I can only assume that all of those were saved on the memory card not the phone, but I'm not sure, what is the default setting, and why it has disappeared in the first place!
