my iPhone suddenly stopped receiving calls. It does not ring, vibrate, nothing. The caller gets sent to voice mail. Is there a fix?? Is Apple actively engaged on a fix?

My 9900 is only a week old but has started behaving strangely. Sometimes it would stop ringing when a call comes but would show the name of the caller on the screeen. Picking up the call would result in the caller not hearing my voice. Once this happens , it would remain this way till I pull out the battery and restart it again. When in this situation , any outgoing call would also not work.
I've checked and I'm at the latest available update. (7.0.0 bundle 1346)

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy 8220 was working fine and the next morning I didn't have any email which was odd. I called Pioneer, my carrier out of Kingfisher, Ok, and they didn't get back with me. By the end of that day, I hadn't received any calls, which was odd. I was able to text and call out. I took it into a service center the next morning and it didn't work when they called my number so the tech popped the battery out and put it back in and it was totally dead. When we tried to turn it on, only the red light would flash and nothing else. It was sent into my carrier and they tell me they can't fix it, don't know what is wrong. Any ideas because I'm not really happy that my $300 plus phone didn't last 6 months! I had dropped it once when it was about 2 months old but it never had a problem afterward.

I tried to turn off iMessages and back on, then tried to activate with my email address and when I try to sign in with apple id it goes to the screen where it shows the email address, and when I hit next it displays "verifying" and then goes back to the sign in page. Yesterday, I updated the iPhone configuration utility to v 3.5 and I was using the internet via iPhone USB tethering, as soon as the update finished, my iPhone USB tethering stopped working and its not working any more. I am on OS X Lion 10.7.3 using iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1. Now I figured out that running the OS in 32 bit lets me do USB tethering, but in 64 bit the iPhone USB Network Service shows on the right:
"Either the cable for iPhone USB is not plugged in or the device is not responding."
I've tried everything with keeping iTunes running, reinstalling iTunes, re-installing iPhone configuration Utility, but nothing seems to work! I guess the main culprit here is the new iPhone Configuration Utility v 3.5. It is so annoying to see such things breaking existing functionality. It has nothing to do with my Phone, because it works on my other Macbook Pro which I did not update and on my friends Snow Leopard.
