Since I updated my iphone 4 with the software for iphone 4s my ical on my imac won't synch with my iphone calendar. Also events are duplicated. I have to check both calendars to ensure I don't miss any events and have to physically re enter them separately into the different calendars.
My iMac has suddnely stopped importing photos from my iPhone 4, which it did automatically whenever I plugged it in using USB. I have recently updated iPhone software to the latest version. Is this the cause? How can I reactivate the auto-import fucntion into iPhoto?
I have been trying to sync my iPhone 4s to my itunes. When i start sync, it says preparing, step 1 of 6, step 2 of 6, jumps step 3, goes to step 4 then stops and does not sync. Really wanna sync my new songs into my phone.
Everything was working perfectly until about 2 weeks ago (the last time a Calendar event synced). Not sure if there was an iTunes update around this time? Now my iPhone looks as if it's syncing through iTunes, but afterwards Contacts/ Notes are updated, but not Calendar....I've checked all the default calendar settings, rebooted both, done 'detect & repair' on Outlook.... no use. This is a nightmare as I keep all the information about my meetings (addresses, phone numbers etc) in my calendar for when I'm out and about - I NEED to fix this asap?
I sync my iPhone 5 with iTunes every day.¬ In the course of charging.¬ Now, I get an error message advising that mail accounts cannot by synced as the mail accounts are in use by the iPhone.¬ This is new to me and is, frankly, more than an irritant if I have to turn mail accounts off.¬
What has caused this error message to suddenly appear?¬ And how do I rectify it?¬
My iphone 4 suddenly stopped turning on and will not charge. I tried rebooting it by holding the home & sleep buttons for nearly a minute many times. I also tried DFU mode to restore it, but I keep getting an error message in itunes when trying this. It will not restore. My itunes and Mac OS software are up to date.
My MacBook pro has suddenly stopped recognising my iphone 3GS. It said first of all that it couldn't find the required disk, then, it just stopped showing any device at all. I cannot sync it with wifi, and have not set up icloud.
My iphone4s suddenly stopped charging from the evening. I tried different chargers but no change. I also tried connecting it to laptop through USB but the device does not show. I want to go to apple store but want the backup.
My iMessages stopped working. I tried to turn off iMessages and back on, then tried to activate with my email address and when I try to sign in with apple id it goes to the screen where it shows the email address, and when I hit next it displays "verifying" and then goes back to the sign in page. I am currently not in range for cellular signal but I am on wifi. Shouldn't I be able to sign in with just my email address, as now it does not display my phone # because I do not have a cellular signal?
I've got an iPhone 3G which has suddenly stopped activating after a restore. iTunes now refuses to go through the activation process, stating: "There is a problem with your iPhone We're sorry, the iPhone you connected may be damaged and cannot be activate
Suddenly, my iphone 4S has stopped connecting to wi-fi.¬
Here's the problem:when I go to Settings, under "Wi-Fi", I see "Not Connected"when I tap "Wi-Fi", I don't see any networks listed at all¬
Here's what I've tried to resolve the problemchecked to see that the wireless networks (both work and home) are actually working, by connecting to them using my laptopturned off wi-fi and then turned it back onswitched to airplane mode and then back offrest phone by pressing and holding both buttonsreset network settings by going to Settings--General--Reset--Reset Network Settings.Nothing has worked.
Yesterday, my iMessages suddenly stopped working (this is how I contact many friends and family). It is partially working - it sends messages from my "appleid" which is my college e-mail address that I no longer have access to, and many people I communicate with do not have. How can I get it to send/recieve iMessages using my phone number again? ¬
When I go into Messages, and iMessage, and type in my id, it says "waiting for activation". In the meantime, I can still send/recieve messages using my email, but not my phone number. I have tried rebooting my phone, resetting network settings, resetting all settings, and nothing seems to work. I am constantly connected through wifi, and I cannot figure out the issue.¬
Yesterday, I updated the iPhone configuration utility to v 3.5 and I was using the internet via iPhone USB tethering, as soon as the update finished, my iPhone USB tethering stopped working and its not working any more. I am on OS X Lion 10.7.3 using iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1. Now I figured out that running the OS in 32 bit lets me do USB tethering, but in 64 bit the iPhone USB Network Service shows on the right:
"Either the cable for iPhone USB is not plugged in or the device is not responding."
I've tried everything with keeping iTunes running, reinstalling iTunes, re-installing iPhone configuration Utility, but nothing seems to work! I guess the main culprit here is the new iPhone Configuration Utility v 3.5. It is so annoying to see such things breaking existing functionality. It has nothing to do with my Phone, because it works on my other Macbook Pro which I did not update and on my friends Snow Leopard.
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), iPhone 4S v 5.1
iPhone 4S - my purchased apps suddenly stopped working. Tried restarting, reinstalling, downloading free app, removing all purchased apps and reinstalling, but the apps just do not open. Running OS5.1 and iTunes 10.6
So I've had my iPhone for probably about 4 months, and up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago, WiFi was working fine on it. Then, one day, I left home and came back a few hours later, and I couldn't connect to the home network. I can still see the network, and it comes up with the signal strength and everything seems normal, but then I go to connect and a message pops up saying "Unable to join network [Home]".
There're 9 other devices on our router, which are an iPhone 4, an iPhone 3GS, an iPod touch, an Apple TV, a windows laptop, an iMac, a MacBook, an ipad, and a PS3.
I Haven't dropped or damaged the phone in the month that ive had it! All of a sudden I needed my flash and it won't go off when I take a picture. Also the flashlight won't turn on either. I've tried the soft & hard reset & updating my phone but it still refuses to work...
my iphone4 suddenly stopped working and switched off while taking a photograph and when kept charging apple logo appears and goes in 5 secs of connecting.. previously my phone is water damaged but worked after servicing for about 4 months...i tried restore but it is also not taking.... i changed the battery and plugged into computer then it switched on and showed my home screen for a while and again the same problem persists....
wi-fi used to work well but suddenly it stopped although I'm having a full signal, it says it's connected but when open Safari it says no internet connection, I restarted my phone and re- named my network but still no internet
I bought this iphone 5 six months ago and have a pay as you go plan with Kolbi I.C.E (a local provider.) Everything worked fine, until last week I was talking on my phone all morning, and then I shut it off to charge it and when I turned it back on I couldn't connect to the cellular network. ¬
Since then, I have tried LITERALLY everything I can find on the internet to make it work again: toggling airplane mode, restart, refresh network settings, restore to factory, taking out the sim card and putting it back in again, EVERYTHING. And not for one single second have I been able to access the cellular network again. ¬
I tried putting my simcard in my friend's identical iphone 5 and it worked just fine, leading me to believe the problem is with my iphone in particular-- but why would it just STOP connecting all of a sudden, for no reason???¬
