I have to participate in a lot of conference calls for business, and the speakerphone was embarrassing; in a group setting, we always had to use someone else's phone.Had a call yesterday, however, and was blown away by the new iPhone 4 speaker performance.

I love everything about the new iPhone 4 and its insanely high-res screen considering its size. However, even though they've also bumped the specs, I am worried that the 4x increase in resolution is gonna hinder game performance and thus put the graphical qualities of games at a standstill.I mean anyone who is a PC gamer knows how much the performance of a game can drop - It's like the difference in performance of playing Crysis on 1600x1200 versus 800x600.
I'm curious to see what games will look like, but I have a bad feeling that this could make future iPhone 4 games look even worse graphically. Sure, everything will be crisper, but obviously there is a lot more to a game graphically than resolution.
Ok so I have a 3GS and used to have decent battery performance, losing maybe 3% over night. Well I jailbroke and like a lot of people had way worse battery, losing up to 10% over night. I did a complete restore and re jailbroke and it seemed a little better.
Well I was charging the phone tonight by USB to my computer. I checked it and saw it was at 99%. I went to watch a show and came back and now was it was at 96% still plugged in and charging. I then rebooted the phone and it was at 98%. Anyone know what the reason for this could be and a solution?

My iPhone 4S works perfectly except for this issue, which oddly started out of the blue yesterday: During calls, when I am using speakerphone feature, I can hear the other caller fine, but they can barely hear me. They say I sound muffled and crackly. This happens both when receiving and making calls. I am not using any kind of headphone system (bluetooth or wired).

I have just recently noticed that my speakerphone stopped functioning during a call. I can hear, but when speakerphone is pushed, the other party doesn't hear me. My mic works fine so that's not it.

Everything functions fine on my iPhone 4 except the native phone app. I can dial out and answer calls. However, I cannot hear any sound coming out of the earpiece or speakerphone and the person on the other end of the line cannot hear me and the iPhone shows that we are connected. I use apps like Skype and Viber and I am able to make and receive phone calls fine. I can hear the caller and they can hear me. I restarted my iphone, I did a hard reset. I even backed up my iphone and restored it to default settings and the problem still persists.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got new iPhones a couple of months ago. Up until now everything was great. Now when I put a call on speakerphone, the other party can't hear me at all. If I blow into the mic, they can hear that, but they can't hear me talk. I've cleaned the mesh with a soft, dry toothbrush as suggested, made sure that the volume didn't read "headset", turned the volume up, turned the phone off-on, made sure nothing else was blocking the mesh over the mic, etc.
The really weird thing is that I was able to record a "Voice Memo" which uses the same mic and the recording sounded just fine.
So, is it hardware or is it software? Doesn't seem to be hardware since I can record a "Voice Memo" with no problem and I can also communicate with Siri just fine. It seems that the problem only happens when using the phone speakerphone feature.

I'm rather dissapointed with the E72 when it comes to GPS usage. It seems to have low sensitivity and loses the signal quite often (in the car). My benchmark is a stand-alone antenna (Holux) but even using a 6220 Classic with the internal GPS I seem to get a more solid GPS reception. Right now I'm still using my old Holux since the E72 doesn't seem to be reliable enough to do in-car navigation. While on the outside it appears to work slightly better but still takes ages for a first fix (with AGPS or without).

I briefly used the .606 version in the UK last week. My impressions:
1) I got more bars than I saw under Froyo. These were very unreliable under Froyo, it was perfectly possible to make calls with 1 or zero bars, so this might have been fixed.
2) I saw the new data icons, H, 3G, E and G. For my eyes, the new icons with the background were harder to see, I had to look closer to see if that was an H or a G!
3) Battery was used more quickly than under CDMA. I don't think this was GB change as I had seen it before, and I wasn't sure if it really due to the difference in protocol or merely because I am in a strong CDMA area here and a weaker GSM one in the UK.
I have recently installed a CK-300 kit which I chose because I love Nokia phones. I have paired it to my 2730 and the performance is dreadful. Callers complain of a huge echo and background noise, even when the vehicle is stationary. To further test the car kit, I fitted my sim to my old 6230i. Perfect. Even at motorway speeds the sound and clarity is great. Other posts on this forum have advised updating the phone software to 9.41 which I have done and re-done just to be sure but this doesn't cure the problem. I don't feel happy about changing handsets each time I drive, but that's my only option to stay legal unless one of you experts can help me fix the 2730.

In idle it's about 57 - 62MB free RAM(i use nokia email that always run in b'ground) when i run another apps like ucweb and nimbuzz in the same time,it's going too slow for typing.when i checked my RAM it's about 42 - 45MB free. View 4 Replies View Relatedive been dilligently updating my 5800 since i got it, ive not been happy with some of the updates like the stupid swipe alarm system (imho its stupid) and everything has generally been an improvement until i update to the latest version available to me on o2 in the uk,since then the phone has actually ran slower, ive needed to tap the screen more than once to get a response and sometimes during text entry i can only describe the phone as going mad thinking the screen is still being touched and entereing in letters or backspacing the entire block of text its a tad dissapointing to be honest, and re-calibrating the screen has made no improvement, one thing i admit to not trying yet is reinstalling the software but i wondered if anyone else had a similar problems since then as well
