View 7 RepliesI would like to know what other users of the N900 think of the battery.I have only had a my device a few days and I can only get less than a day's use out of the battery. This is with the Wifi switched off (I mainly use the 3.5G). I do very little internet browsing. I just leave the phone on my desk, check my emails occasionally. Is this normal performance ? Does anyone get more than a day's use?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Nokia 6700 slide and it comes in a package with a BL-4CT battery 860 mAh, 3.7 V and 3.2 Wh. How the battery performance is poor ( keep about two days), I thought to replace it with a BL-5CT battery 1050 mAh, 3.7 V and 3.9 Wh, or BL-5J battery 1320 mAh. Or even a BP-4L battery 1500 mAh ( that do not know if it fits ).Can I improve in this way life time during the talk and standby?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe battery backup is very low. However the specification says the standby is min. 200 hrs. But my battery runs before that (22 hrs when kept idle)May i have any suggestion. How to improve battery performance?

View 9 Replies View RelatedOk so I have a 3GS and used to have decent battery performance, losing maybe 3% over night. Well I jailbroke and like a lot of people had way worse battery, losing up to 10% over night. I did a complete restore and re jailbroke and it seemed a little better.
Well I was charging the phone tonight by USB to my computer. I checked it and saw it was at 99%. I went to watch a show and came back and now was it was at 96% still plugged in and charging. I then rebooted the phone and it was at 98%. Anyone know what the reason for this could be and a solution?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI used to get pretty good life out of my stock bionic battery. I updated the OTA update early today and since then the battery level has been going down at almost 10% every 30 - 40 mins. Following is the list in my battery usage queue. This is after I did a system reset and left my phone without any new apps (except for facebook).
Display 30%
Android System 17%
com.motorola.contacts 12%
Android OS 9%
com.motorola.home 8% ....
I am planning to charge it to 100% and then see how it behaves. Will keep this thread posted with stats from my phone.
Went through the Over Air update process yesterday, now WIFI drops all the time and the battery performance is so poor the phone will not last a day!Can I put back the old SW or get this fixed some how? (edit a config fiel or something.......?)
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, I had horrible battery performance after the update. I figured I would do a cache wipe. Normally this erased battery history, but not this time. The gap is during the wipe. Notice the average slope before and after
I wish they could push an update that doesn't require this crap, but its never happened.
I have heard many conflicting versions of the optimal way to maximize the battery's life. It would be great to get some clarity from the experts.
1. Can you charge the phone at any time or should the battery be drawn all of the way down?
2. Once the battery is fully charged, should it be immediately disconnected from the charger, or is it OK to leave the charger attached?
3. if you are using the device, and it is below full charge, is it OK to have it charging while you are using it?
I'm rather dissapointed with the E72 when it comes to GPS usage. It seems to have low sensitivity and loses the signal quite often (in the car). My benchmark is a stand-alone antenna (Holux) but even using a 6220 Classic with the internal GPS I seem to get a more solid GPS reception. Right now I'm still using my old Holux since the E72 doesn't seem to be reliable enough to do in-car navigation. While on the outside it appears to work slightly better but still takes ages for a first fix (with AGPS or without).
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed a CK-300 kit which I chose because I love Nokia phones. I have paired it to my 2730 and the performance is dreadful. Callers complain of a huge echo and background noise, even when the vehicle is stationary. To further test the car kit, I fitted my sim to my old 6230i. Perfect. Even at motorway speeds the sound and clarity is great. Other posts on this forum have advised updating the phone software to 9.41 which I have done and re-done just to be sure but this doesn't cure the problem. I don't feel happy about changing handsets each time I drive, but that's my only option to stay legal unless one of you experts can help me fix the 2730.

View 4 Replies View Relatedive been dilligently updating my 5800 since i got it, ive not been happy with some of the updates like the stupid swipe alarm system (imho its stupid) and everything has generally been an improvement until i update to the latest version available to me on o2 in the uk,since then the phone has actually ran slower, ive needed to tap the screen more than once to get a response and sometimes during text entry i can only describe the phone as going mad thinking the screen is still being touched and entereing in letters or backspacing the entire block of text its a tad dissapointing to be honest, and re-calibrating the screen has made no improvement, one thing i admit to not trying yet is reinstalling the software but i wondered if anyone else had a similar problems since then as well

I upgraded to Belle on Saturday and ever since then I'm suffering from long delays any time I send or receive a message or the phone connects to the internet.
When I send a message I have to wait 10-20 seconds before the phone becomes usable again, and it takes about 10 seconds to open a new message too.
updated my x10 to 2.1 and i find this update has really slowed down the performance and is taking a long time to load even the contacts. and also timescape is pulling irrelevant pictures from twitter capturing only the name for example alan in my contact list with no twitter profile or image gets the profile pic of alan in twitter and outrageously the edit option tells me timescape editing is not possible with this phone,.NOT TOO HAPPY WITH 2.1. can i revert back to 1.6 version by any chance.further how to install tamil fonts in x10 can we get unicode tamil phonetic keyboard.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was looking for opinions from the GSM users on the latest GB version. Is it better/worse/different than previous versions?
I briefly used the .606 version in the UK last week. My impressions:
1) I got more bars than I saw under Froyo. These were very unreliable under Froyo, it was perfectly possible to make calls with 1 or zero bars, so this might have been fixed.
2) I saw the new data icons, H, 3G, E and G. For my eyes, the new icons with the background were harder to see, I had to look closer to see if that was an H or a G!
3) Battery was used more quickly than under CDMA. I don't think this was GB change as I had seen it before, and I wasn't sure if it really due to the difference in protocol or merely because I am in a strong CDMA area here and a weaker GSM one in the UK.
Recently i downloaded some themes from ovistore.it got automatically installed to memorycard. But now when i take gallery, photos and videos on my phone with new theme appllied it takes more time, especially when the screen rotates. Why this happens?this problem doesn't occur with preintalled theme.

I've also disabled third-party applications so that only the stock-applications are running in the background. Is there a way to downgrade back to the previous firmware?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just want to add my thoughts on how frustrated I am with this device. Although this was my first blackberry I like the overall thought and function of the device and refuse to let this crap device alter my opinon of other blackberry devices. I tried and tried to talk to sprint/nextel to replace my device with another model since they refuse to update and support the 8350i. But you and I both know I didnt get anywhere. I have recent reverted my os back to the .204. Does anyone else have any input on how to further advance my preformance of the device?
View 8 Replies View Relatedi've had my bb storm 2 (9550 on 1xev network - mts in manitoba, canada) for a bit over a month, now. it's great but i'm noticing laggy scrolling in two instances and i'm wondering if it's got something to do with my software or if it's just the limitations of the device's hardware.
other info:
new os .517
opera ver 5.1.21216
did a batt pull and have lots of free space.
apps: few web shortcuts, 1 stupid free game, one butterfly theme (i use the default one, however), google maps and sync, opera 4 and 5, player for Internet, poynt, reuters, score mobile, urbanspoon, weather bug, whippoh
i know to keep all the apps i'm not using closed.
so my issue is when scrolling up thru text conversations it goes moves upward for a bit but then will quickly move downwards and stop even tho i am only swiping in an upwards motion. this is really annoying because it's hard to keep track of how far up i am going.
i have my messages set to be kept for 30 days... if you suggest putting it to 15 i could deal with that. does texting a lot (i.e. lots of ppl and volume) really impact scrolling speed so drastically?
i don't think text message scrolling should lag like that, should it? my second comlaint is more understandable....
because opera mini (5, newest ver) isn't designed by rim. my issue here is scrolling is simply laggy. i don't get the reversal of direction issue i do in my sms messages, but it's just not very responsive and tends to jump frequently.
how to test my mobile performance..is there any app?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyway, if it was, that would make it a pretty nice low-light performer, at least on paper. Low-light performance is really important to me (and I hate how flash ruins shots), but I can't seem to find any info on this. Does anyone know?
